Dad, you know what? When I said I'd quite ssireum, nobody stopped me. To be honest, at first, I thought I'd fake it for few days and then go back if someone tried to stop me. A part of me thought I'd do that. But... no one stopped me. Then, after a couple of days passed by, I felt like I couldn't go back, even if they wanted me to. like flowers in sand sort of had three storylines, the murder mystery, baekdu and his ssierum journey, and the general friendgroup thing and I think the show balanced all three so well no one thing overpowered the other.

they mixed the storylines so well too and made them all come together so well, and the flashback scenes were also written so nicely. and I loved that she didn’t make it to the final match because while baek du did find his sort of strength again because of her, him winning the championship because she was there would have been a disservice to his character. and it was so poetic she finally caught the bad guy and he finally won at the same time completing their individual arcs together which is why there was so over dramatic confrontation later. they’re grown ups and they understood each other and like what’s important.

only thing I’d change is probably make it 1 episode longer? like we needed some filler moments but 2 more episodes would have been too draggy idk
