hi uhm. let me talk about klaus for a moment. seeing a character that is described by his actor as pansexual and genderless on screen has meant a lot to me, as a non-binary pan person myself. and what i really REALLY appreciate about the umbrella academy is that klaus is himself first and foremost. he is unapologetic about who he is and who he loves. and!!! he isn’t questioned about it!! he isn’t made fun of for it, he isn’t persecuted for it. he just IS. his personal arc in this story doesn’t have anything to do with overcoming adversity for being LGBT. klaus just IS. it’s part of him and he exists the way he exists and nothing else matters. so i am extremely grateful for that. to be seen. and not feel heartbroken that a person i relate to is being beaten down for being who he is.
