Just spent 15 Minutes looking for this image again after losing it so saving it here this time! Here's a look at a Behind The Scenes Height Chart of Abby, The Puppet, & Abbionette.
While Piper Rubio's height for Abby is pretty accurate here, whatever's going on with The Puppet confuses me a bit. The charts grid shows The Puppet standing a bit over 7'0, but it's actual written number looks a little weirder. Although I'd love to give it the benefit of the doubt on being like, 7'.25, aka 7 foot 0.25 inches, matching the chart pretty closely, I can't for the life of me see a decimal there.
Even 7 & 1/4th Feet, or 7'4 would make more sense, but the number does really look like 7'25, which if that actually meant 25 Inches, would be like 9'1 which I don't think is the case here(?)
Anyways just wanted to post this here since I think it's pretty obscure & don't want to lose it again. If anyone out there knows better than me how to translate (7'25) then do let me know ;]
The Halloween Vibes hitting me right now is record time this year. Maybe this means I’ll actually get some stuff ready for it instead of extremely last minute like usual.
(The Fredbear & Spring Bonnie Youtooz I’m using as a reference here, not cause they show any notable height difference, just cause they look like good interpretations of the characters canon designs.)
Just a note for later that I’d like to play around with while working on my Height Charting and renders of the FNAF Animatronics.
Here’s some estimates I’m gonna throw out about the Canon Heights of Fredbear & Spring Bonnie in the games & why something about them is very interesting:
(1983) Fredbear: 6’7 or 6’8
(1983) Spring Bonnie: ~6’5
(1983) William Afton: ~6’3
(1983) Henry Emily: ~6’0
Also, here’s a few more estimates of other characters in the series to show as reference to these heights:
(1993) Freddy: 6’5
(1993) Bonnie: 6’3
(1993) Chica: 6’3
(1993) Foxy: 6’1
(1987) Withered Freddy: 6’7 or 6’8
For some context to the logic I used to come to these estimates:
Skeet Ulrich (Henry) is 6’0, and Mathew Lillard (Afton) is 6’4. Generally I think these heights carry over perfectly to the games as well, though I’ve chosen to shrink Afton down to a modest 6’3 for some personal consistency, and based on Lillard’s account of movie sets adjusting their cameras to make him look more normal, AKA not nearly as gargantuan on screen. So William is 6’3 and Henry is 6’0.
Generally most FNAF media refers to the classics as being “adult sized, or bigger”. The week before for instance quotes Bonnie & Chica being atleast 6’0, though some sources put the whole group more around 6’3. One more important rule here is that Bonnie & Chica are said, I believe by Scott, to be the same height. So I think any conclusion on the classics heights, using Bonnie & Chica as a reference, would put those 2 being either 6’0, or 6’3. Based on some reference in the Movies, and my own personal preference, I lean more on the taller side, putting Bonnie & Chica at 6’3 each. From there I like to follow my own kinda rule of fellow animatronics in the same line being 2 inches apart in height, making Foxy 6’1, and Freddy an intimidating 6’5.
Originally I had imagined it possible for Spring Bonnie & Fredbear to be the same heights as Classic Bonnie & Freddy for some consistency, so 6’3 and 6’5, however with figuring William Afton to be 6’3 himself, Spring Bonnie with him inside it also being the exact same height didn’t make much sense, a suit HAS to give you somewhat of a height boost.
So instead, I like to think Spring Bonnie’s height would be equivalent to Freddy Fazbear’s for some strong narrative reasons. Hypothetically Spring Bonnie could of course be taller than The Classics if need be, but I like the visual of Spring Bonnie being able to tower over most of the Classic Animatronics due to his power over their spirits, while being the same stature as Golden Freddy (if he were standing). Golden Freddy in 1987 and onward is likely retrofitted to be, or just takes the same form, and now height, of Classic Freddy, making him a lot smaller than the original height of 1983’s Fredbear. This way narratively, what Afton did to the 5 kids, specifically to Cassidy & Fredbear in this case, has shrunk the character down to be something lesser than it once was, but with Golden Freddy having an equal height to Spring Bonnie (6’5) exemplifying how the character has become Aftons foil, The Yellow Bear VS The Yellow Rabbit.
So ultimately if Fredbear originally was much a bit taller than Spring Bonnie, and I follow my 2 inches rule, Fredbear would have been 6’7 or 6’8. This is also the height I assign Withered Freddy, as the Withereds are a lot bigger than The Classics, so seeing perhaps Withered Freddy & Withered Bonnie being the same heights as Fredbear & Spring Bonnje could make some sense here. I’m just not sure if that height reference for Fredbear / Withered Freddy should be 6’7 or 6’8, as I’m realizing now I may be subconsciously trying to avoid giving any character the height “6’7”. Will figure out later.
Now that was a lot more explanation than I realized to get to a point that’s basically just kinda goofy that I thought of in the moment and wanted to note down here. This probably coulda been 2 posts honestly where I do all the explaining of my logic, and then point out my funny idea.
I believe the visual of The Withereds, and Fredbear in FNAF 4, may highlight something we’ve either forgotten about (since it’s kinda pointless) or don’t discuss that often. I think depending on your height & the height of the character, there are 2 ways to wear a suit.
(For the record this is not implying that The Withereds are Springlock Suits, nor that Withered Golden Freddy is how the Original Fredbear looked. I don’t believe either of those. I do think though that Withered Golden Freddy, and Withered Freddy by proxy may visualize a characteristic of 1983 Fredbear very well)
Remember that Afton is 6’3 and Henry is 6’0. Afton of course fits into his 6’5 Spring Bonnie suit well with it being just a few inches taller than him, (admittedly I think realistically a suit would add a BIT more height to you than that but my math, and how unrealistically proportioned Spring Bonnie / Springtrap are say ermmm nuh-uhhh so it’s just gotta be this way in the games) but a much shorter Henry & much taller Fredbear is a different story.
At most, with some extra height in the feet of Fredbear, someone Henry’s height could likely reach an eye line of 6’3 or so, maybe becoming Aftons height outside the suit, but they definitely wouldn’t be tall enough to see out of the actual eyes of Fredbear. Thankfully, that’s exactly what we see in FNAF 4 :]
Mascot Costumes of this era were made with 2 ways of wearing them in mind, one where if you’re tall enough like William, you can look out the suits actual eyes, while if you’re shorter like Henry, you instead look out the suits mouth.
I hadn’t realized but we do see Afton in this frame looking quite tall here, just about tall enough to where if he were in the Fredbear Suit, he definitely wouldn’t be looking through the mouth area like the employee currently inside it. (I know it’s inaccurate minigame scale I just think the visual here looks interesting but isn’t really a-tier evidence of anything)
This idea mostly came to me, just from looking at Withered Chica, Freddy, and kinda Foxy’s head mechanisms, where they all sort of have this look of their upper head being able to detach from their jaw, which now that I think about it is a visual found a few times now in the series (notably in the Rockstars who themselves likely have their roots in the series past, their mechanical designs somewhat resembling tropes of Henry’s work).
Most recently it was actually used in a meaningful way with Secret of The Mimics Springlock Suits all having Arnold, likely standing at 6’0 in all referenced concept art, looking through the suits mouthes.
So yeah that’s about it.
Just wanted to note this here as the first time I’m fully writing out a series of FNAF Lore, Theories, Observations, whatever you wanna call it, on Tumblr.
If you found this post and managed to make it all the way to the end, I’m sorry that was so much reading! But thanks for doing so. If this somehow ever ends up being something I turn into its own video, then you just got an early reading of it!
Also, if you have any input on this, and thoughts of ideas or of course counter arguments or information, don’t hesitate to comment your thoughts, or BETTER, send me an Ask Me Anything!
I haven’t been on Tumblr long but I’m really curious about the feature and would love to react and respond to any questions or ideas thrown my way, even ones that aren’t about FNAF or this topic!
So anyways thanks for reading ;] I’ll be back with some more FNaF stuff, likely more height references when I’m able to get back on blender and finish up some more render work.
Sometimes I wish I felt more. I know that, if I did, it probably wouldn’t make feeling as special, but it’s something I still think about. That’s why, when I find something that makes me feel so strongly, and so profoundly, I try to hold onto that feeling.
And, I cherish that something that was able to affect me in such a way. Steven Universe is one of those somethings. Tonight, I finally finished Steven Universe, watching the last few episodes of Steven Universe: Future.
I knew that this show would end with Steven left with no problems but his own, but I didn’t know just how much theme would resonate. I was crying a little by the moment Steven was turned back to normal from everyone’s support, and after laughing a little from Lion, began to openly cry into his main. That was the only right thing to do in that moment. To just let it all out, because finally it’s ok to not be ok.
I wish I’d cried a little more.
I wish I could hold onto this feeling just a bit longer. We have homeostasis for a reason, to come to your normal to keep going day by day. It’s a good thing, but sometimes I feel like it takes something from me I wish I could keep. Something I wish I could hold onto just a little longer. I’m getting more emotional writing this out than I even did at times in the show.
That’s why I try to savor these moments, these late nights where something makes you feel in such a profound way, but only for a little while. It’ll all be with you, but there’ll be nothing like the night where that something made you feel how you did for the first time.
For the first time, I’m happy to try and capture that feeling into something I can come back to, someday, and something maybe someone out there, will understand too.
Steven Universe: Future hit me with a lot of themes I didn’t know would resonate with me so much. Maybe someday I’ll unpack what those themes mean to me. I tried to start it here, but I don’t know if I’m ready for that.
Either way, even if I’m 7 years late, this show has an amazing impact on me, and I hope I can keep its sheer positivity & love in my heart.
I’m so glad to have finally watched Steven Universe <3
Here’s a list of Media that I need to watch/play at some point. Hopefully I can come back to add more, as well as crossing off some of the ones I complete.
Yeahhhhh there were definitely a few fantastic 2D animated shows I unfortunately didn't end up watching as a kid or teen. One was Gravity Falls which I didn't watch till atleast 3 years after it'd already ended, & of course I instantly fell in love with it the moment I actually gave it a chance.
Like Gravity Falls, another I didn't manage to catch as a kid, and in-fact still haven't watched is Adventure Time. I think I kinda judged a few of these Cartoon Network/Disney Animation shows a little too harshly as a kid purely based on their vibe/how their animation style looked, and thus didn't give many shows a proper chance.
(Lack of access to some of them did also add to that too)
But after gaining, yknow, some level of sentience & awareness of my childhood transgressions, I began going down the list of animated series I'd neglected at this point, basically putting them in this watch order:
Gravity Falls (2019 or 2020)
The Owl House (2023)
Amphibia (2024)
Steven Universe (2025 - 2026)
Adventure Time (Still Unwatched)
The saving grace here is that I kinda learned my lesson here, and at least caught The Owl House right around when it was ending, as opposed to being 3 years late to Gravity Falls, 6 years late to Steven Universe, or what'll likely be a little less than a DECADE late to Adventure Time.
Even so, I can say I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of these shows, & I know once I really get a good amount of episodes into Adventure Time, the 1 show out of this bunch I always found the least visually or stylistically appealing, even it I will thoroughly enjoy.
Really makes me wonder if I would have enjoyed these shows as a kid compared to how much I do now. I probably would have eaten up Gravity Falls, but I wonder if some of the themes in Steven Universe really would have hit there mark or not.
Anyways I intended to write all this out as a preamble to finally watching "Steven Universe: The Movie" but at this point its almost 4AM so that'll have to wait for another time, hopefully tomorrow if possible. This at least has made me consider writing a big post to document some of my favorite Animated Shows that I can maybe add to, would be good to get em' all written down in one place ;]
Anyways anyways it's bed time now I'm gonna regret this tomorrow-
VidCon 2026 is happening right now and I’ve got massive FOMO for it. I got to go to VidCon in 2022 & 2023 but haven’t been back since.
After hitting up quite a few cons over the years, there’s definitely better ones to go to, but VidCon does fill a void no other convention can. I think I’ve described it as a good combo between a Pop Culture Con like FanX (low interactivity, high commerce) & LVL UP Expo (lots of interactivity & experiences).
I’d love to return to VidCon some day but I definitely think I need to work on myself more first, developing my online career, & of course picking YouTube back up to really even deserve to let myself return to a convention themed around something I haven’t even been committing myself to.
Back on my main computer for the first time in what feels like a month, and jumping right back into using various Blender versions to try & make my own collection of renders for FNAF videos.
The hard part of this hasn't been learning the quirks of Blender (which has actually been pretty fulfilling) but instead not letting my perfectionism consume me, making the process extremely daunting.
If you're looking to make some renders with premade accuracy model packs, definitely DON'T start with the Classic Animatronics, the sheer amount of customization they have is nice but was WAY too intimidating as a starting point for this project. So instead I'm back starting over messing with the FNAF 3 & 4 Animatronics right now.
These specific renders are only placeholder ones for revamping a FNAF Animatronic Approximate Height Chart I've been working on.
You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find Canon heights in this series.
Anyways I'll probably show snippets of Animatronic Height Charts when they're more complete. I'm also still considering whether I should have a separate blog on here specifically for my FNAF creative projects, to separate them from my personal variety posts. Guess I'll see what feels right later.
It’s really cool to come to a place like Tumblr and see that even though it’s not a place I’d ever truly took the time to show up to or engage with, that there’s still a post here or there that mention me.
Like, if you’ve really tried to make a difference somehow on the internet, if you’ve made or done something that people liked or noticed, that impacted them, there’ll be places you’ll never see or think about, where people talk about you or what you’ve made.
Something about that is just so profound to me.
(Or I’m extremely tired and this just sounds way more interesting to me than how it actually reads)
Giving input to a friend on their Thumbnail & for once my idea actually looked good in application.
Wonder if my time away from overthinking YouTube strategy bullshit all day has left me with somewhat actually clear vision on decent design principles.
Do a lot of professionals thoroughly talk about their past, history of their career, and hardships/troubles, especially mental & motivational struggles, or is that seen as oversharing and unprofessional?
I feel incredibly lost on Social Media & with my online presence. I honestly just, don't want to post anywhere anymore. Not Twitter, I've never been active on Instagram, and I just can't find the drive to get something out on Youtube like I used to. I have ideas, but maybe they just don't feel fulfilling, I don't know. I don't know if it's me, or something about how Social Media works these days, or a bit of both, that just makes it feel soul sucking to engage with. I thinking about trying to post on Twitter and all the interesting ways I could, and then eventually just find my way back to the thought that I genuinely have no interest in doing so.
The only reason I'm here, right now, on Tumblr, is because I thought about it, and somehow it sounded refreshing, or at least not like a giant daunting weight. I have no expectations here. I'm almost treating this little trip back into Tumblr more like going to therapy than actually for "farming social media clout and building up a brand image that'll help excel my career". Somewhere along the way, that became the goal we thought we wanted, that I thought, I wanted. But that outlook, to achieve that goal, isn't worth it. You'll lose what made that goal special to you in the first place.
I almost, in a way, don't really want people to find this post. Some will, eventually, and that's fine, but I mean that I just, think I want in my head right now the idea that this is something nobody will see, and thus there's no expectations, no judgements, no worries. It's just for me, to write, and remember, and maybe come back to some day. And that having something like that is ok to have. That's something we forget eventually, that having something, that making something, that writing something, is ok to be just for you. And that, what you make, should always be what you want to make.
I might write or show some more here, and then stop abruptly one day, like a lot of the things I do. Or maybe if this works out somehow, I'll keep putting stuff here everyone once in a while. I don't know.
Hi, sorry just checking and I don't know how to ask this but do you mind if I could use your three characters (that valentingaio made for your video about the forgotten characters) for a story I'm making, I might make my own headcannons (for example make the Chica Fan Girl a trans girl) to your characters but I'm just checking and if you say no, I understand and will not use your character.
I already asked valentingaio, and they say it's fine but to ask you and sorry, I'm not good at asking others
Yes you can!
Imma be real I don't use Tumblr so this question was probably asked a WHILE ago but yeah, go for it! I hadn't even realized that they we're basically Characters I had made/had some like, conceptual ownership of, so that's kinda interesting. But yep they're free for anyone to Characterize if they want.
Why are you friends with CathuresArt when they deny both Talesgames and Mimictrap? Don't just say "because they are based".
I thought I answered this a while ago so was surprised to see it here now but I guess not(?) so here:
I'm not friends with CathuresArt, most of the interactions I've had with or seen from them have been a Net Negative. If the assumption we're friends comes from me following them somewhere, that's unintentional.
