Her name is Shirley ‘Leyley’ Ruthie Mills, born in 1964 to a rural farm in the sides of West Virginia in a cannibalistic family raised by only her six brothers, as an offspring of two cousins.
Ley is extremely unfit to be able to be classified as “normal,” having several undiagnosed issues such as pica, eyelid myokymia, lagothplamos, including a delayed mindset, making her mentality younger than her actual age. Another important note is that Ley has a disabled eye, unable to close her eye fully in the right one.
Her early childhood consisted of the farm life along with her brothers; Sludge (30,) Snort (22,) Snoot (17,) Robert ‘Robbie’ (15,) Ronald ‘Ronnie’ (14,) and Squirm (13.)
The siblings love for each other was unconditional, though sometimes lacked supervision due to the large amount of each other. They were all half siblings due to them coming from different fathers as of hook up’s.
The very little amount of supervision over Ley had taken effect, and the fact the family resided in a rural farm, not having any formal or proper education made. Ley began to develop into her pica, and consume inedible things, most disturbingly, animal carcass and guts. It became an issue when the family would realize that there were lacks of eggs and missing animals, but brushed it off as them running away since they would feed off of humans, normally bypassing people.
It was that in the early 70s, Ley had murdered three preschool aged boys separately away from their parents who were either lost or pursued them to follow her along which ultimately lead to their unfortunate death. The boys were killed by asphyxiation and soon blunt force trauma by large rocks by the areas, left to die alone and be reported missing until their bodies were found in the area. The discoveries began to bring light on the actions and horrific events in the farm and family.

This, eventually, led to the arrest and separation of all siblings together. Ley was declared as a mentally ill person and was sent off to Glenville Sanatorium in late 1973.
There, Ley resided in a cell in front of the Hilliker brothers; Sawtooth, One Eye, and Three Fingers. Initially paying no mind until the oldest brother Sawtooth began to show interest towards her despite the separate cells. Other than meeting her eventual husband later on, Ley was neglected by staff which affected her cognitive level deeply.
Until 1974, (the beginning events of Wrong Turn 4,) that a riot had broken out, hence, Ley being released, Sawtooth and her became closer and began a relationship despite the issues of each other. Ley maintained a healthy bond with One Eye and specifically Three Fingers since they were both more maniacal shitheads.
In the events of the first Wrong Turn, Ley was 39 in 2003 regarding the time. She had survived along Three Finger and remained with him tot he later sequels.
