Tumblr turned the like button into a little Christmas celebration.
Like the post and you’ll see it ❄️
If you’re celebrating the new year,
helping four children stay warm can be part of that celebration.

Reblogging is already a form of care.
Giving is another.
Unfortunately, while I am grateful for how widely this post has spread, it was shared out of context.
This was never created for entertainment, I have no time for that.
The original post consisted of three connected parts: one main post and two reblogs, all carrying a single purpose — a humanitarian one.
What many people shared was only the surface. What was missed is the reality behind it:
four children and a family living in a tent, facing cold, rain, and illness in Gaza.
This post traveled far, but our story did not.
I created this with one hope only — that kindness might reach my children and help us survive these harsh conditions.
I am thankful for every share.
But I cannot be happy while my children sleep cold.
Please, if you reblog, reblog the truth, not just the moment.
my friends and I are all noticing that it's getting harder and harder to fundraise for Palestine.

Mamdani, a democratic socialist and state assemblymember, will make history as the first Muslim and South Asian person — as well as the youn
"Zohran Mamdani will be the next mayor of New York City, becoming the first Muslim and person of South Asian descent — as well as the youngest in over a century — to hold the position.
The 34-year-old, Ugandan-born democratic socialist defeated former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who ran as an Independent, and Republican Curtis Sliwa in Tuesday's election, according to a race call by the Associated Press.
It's a remarkable ascent for Mamdani, who was a relatively unknown state assemblymember representing Queens when he entered the crowded mayoral race last year. He went on to win June's Democratic primary by 12 percentage points, quickly becoming one of the country's most popular and polarizing politicians along the way.
Some of Mamdani's main campaign promises include making the city's buses fare-free, freezing stabilized rents, providing universal child care, increasing the minimum wage by 2030 and lowering the cost of living by raising taxes on big corporations and the wealthiest 1% of New Yorkers.
Mamdani has also said he would stand up to President Trump, who has frequently criticized — and mischaracterized — Mamdani as a communist and repeatedly threatened to slash New York City's federal funding if he wins...
But Mamdani's vision of a more affordable city, articulated through savvy social media videos and upbeat in-person interactions, has clearly resonated with young and first-time voters (even outside of New York).
He won endorsements from scores of high-profile progressives, mobilized tens of thousands of campaign volunteers and held a double-digit lead in polls going into Election Day. Young voters, who were likely to have supported Mamdani, are credited with driving record early-voter turnout.
Less than an hour after polls closed on Tuesday [November 4, 2025], it was clear his efforts had paid off...
Tuesday's election marks a pivotal moment for liberal-leaning New York City and the Democratic establishment. Both have grappled with how to respond to the Trump administration, which has targeted blue cities nationwide (including the Big Apple) with funding cuts and National Guard troops.
The high stakes and voter enthusiasm of this election were evident well before Election Day: The city Board of Elections said 735,317 voters cast ballots during early voting, more than five times the number of early voters in 2021."

People talk about the conflict in Gaza as it is shown in the news. As soon as the ceasefire was announced, everyone treated the issue like a hot ball they wanted to throw away, and no one talks about reconstruction anymore.
Nine out of ten homes in Gaza have been completely destroyed, and the city is still being bombed. Its people continue to be killed — tonight alone, more than 100 people were martyred, most of them children and women. No reconstruction has begun, and their children are camping on the ruins of their destroyed homes, in the freezing cold, as winter rapidly approaches.
Before anything else, they are hoping the ceasefire will hold.
Palestinians need more than our sympathy—they need our persistence. keep showing up. keep reminding them they aren’t forgotten. hope isn’t abstract. hope is food delivered, medicine funded, lives preserved. hope is us refusing to stop caring for humans in desperate need.

My name is Wedad , from Gaza.
Since my home was destroyed, I’ve forgotten what safety feels like. I’ve been displaced nine times each time leaving behind what little remained, running from bombs, carrying nothing but fear and my child’s hand.
Now I live in a worn-out tent by the shores of Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. The sea is in front of me, but no peace in sight only hunger, sickness, and exhaustion. My husband has been missing for a long time… I don’t know where he is, or if I’ll ever see him again. Since his disappearance, I’ve had to face everything alone.
But I’m not truly alone…
My little son is the one who takes care of me now.
Yes — a child has become my only support. He comforts me when I cry, searches for scraps of food, and holds my hand when I fall.
We are living a nightmare
There’s no clean water. No food. No medicine. We are constantly sick from malnutrition. I have severe pain in my leg and need ongoing treatment, but there’s no way to get help.
I’m tired. My body is breaking.
My son a child is carrying a weight no child should carry. We are dying in slow motion… while the world looks away.
Please… don’t ignore this.
Don’t let my son grow up watching his mother starve and suffer.
Your donation isn’t just money it’s food, it’s medicine, it’s life.
Help us… before it’s too late.
Before the last bit of strength fades from my body…and the last bit of hope leaves my son’s eyes.

do you believe that all children deserve safety?
Ahmed Aldani @ahmedaldaniii is only 16 years old. His home was destroyed by Israel, and he now lives in a damaged, unsuitable tent with his family of 7. Ahmed is disabled, and his brother is injured.
His family struggles every day for access to clean water and food, due to the scarcity of both driving up prices, as well as needing medicine and a new tent.
If you believe, like I do, that everyone deserves to grow up in safety, then I beg of you to donate to help this child whose safety has been taken from him. Your donation, however much you can give, will directly help him and his family afford these necessities and save their lives.
thank you for reading, thank you for sharing, and thank you so much for donating.

A short timeline of events
March 2025 - Blockade
Israel prevents entry of food and humanitarian supplies to Gaza. Then they unilaterally break ceasefire.
May 2025 - Opening of GHF death traps
On May 27, Private US contractors roll out aid "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" sites backed by Israel. GHF was led by Jake Wood, a US military veteran, and now is directed by John Acree, longtime US imperialist who previously worked with USAID, and Johnnie Moore, an evangelical christian zionist and capitalist. These sites are all located in Israeli military zones, where journalists have no access.
June 2025 - GHF sites are condemned by everyone (except the zionists). Daily massacres continue at GHF sites.
GHF is immediately identified as a tool of genocide and condemned by aid and human rights organizations, the United Nations, and literally everyone on the ground from doctors to civilians.
The Gaza Health Ministry states that GHF "does not adhere to any professional or ethical standards of humanitarian work" and confirms civilian reports that GHF sites are staffed by armed private security personnel, and that both GHF staff and Israeli military have fired directly upon people collecting aid.
Save the Children's regional director for the Middle East, North Africa and eastern Europe, Ahmad Alhendawi released a statement that children were killed or injured in more than half of the fatal attacks at GHF sites, stating: "No child should be killed searching for food. This is not a humanitarian operation – it's a death trap. Forcing civilians into fenced-in zones only for them to be gunned down is the opposite of humanitarian – it's inhumane."
As of June 25, 549 people had been killed and more than 4,000 injured at or near GHF sites.
July 2025 - People continue to starve and endure daily massacres
As of July 16, The death toll of Palestinians killed near GHF aid hubs reached 700.
As of July 21, the death toll of Palestinians killed trying to access food aid reached 1,054.
UNRWA (The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East)'s Ms. Touma stated: “The so-called GHF distribution scheme is a sadistic death-trap. Snipers open fire randomly on crowds as if they're given a license to kill… This cannot be our new norm. Humanitarian assistance is not the job of mercenaries.”
As of July 24, the Health Ministry reported that there were 28,000 cases of malnutrition in Gaza, with over 5,000 recorded in July alone.
On July 29, IPC releases an alert stating that the "worst case scenario of famine" is unfolding in Gaza.
August 2025 - Today
Today alone over 79 people have been killed trying to reach food aid.
Today is August 3, 2025.
Tomorrow is August 4, my friend Fadel's birthday. This will be his second birthday during this war, the worst birthdays of his whole life. He will not be able to bake a birthday cake or receive any gifts.
He will not be able to rest in his home, because Israel bombed it while he was inside almost two years ago. He has not been able to recover from the injuries of this bombing because Israel has bombed and destroyed so many hospitals and health facilities.
He has not been able to save the money to travel to another hospital to get surgery to remove the shrapnel from this bombing because the blockade has enabled marketplace price gouging of food, and now just raising enough money to prevent starvation is extremely difficult.
He is disabled, and his medication is very expensive now. He has to choose between medication and food all the time now.
His campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters (#197) and 90-ghost.
Help him raise some money! Give him a birthday present this year, please!

I have told you repeatedly that I am in dire need of help, and everyone is ignoring me. I hope you will help me so that I can buy my medicine as soon as possible, and so that we can buy some food so that we do not die of hunger or get killed when we go to get aid. Please have mercy on us and help us with a donation so that I can buy my medicine and some food. Please Donate.
If we can raise him enough money in the next 12 hours, he could get some food for his birthday. Please let's try for him!
Tomorrow is my birthday. I hope you will send me some greetings and help me buy my medicine as soon as possible and some food so we can eat tomorrow. Please donate.
Fadel's Birthday is tomorrow, you can celebrate for him by helping to pay for his medication thru his vetted gofundme! Please share and give what you can!
please donate!
Unfortunately, today is my birthday and my family and I were unable to celebrate because of the deadly famine we are going through. What is worse is that we were unable to eat anything today and we were unable to make a birthday cake. So please i dont ask you for much, just help me and my family so that we can buy some food tomorrow. Please do anything for us. Stand by us. Please donate.
Fadel cannot celebrate his birthday today because of the occupation, but you can help give him a joyful future by sharing and giving what you are able to his vetted campaign ❤️
The situation is getting worse and the Israeli army says it will invade the entire Gaza Strip. We are facing very difficult days and what is worse is that we do not have any food for tomorrow. Please help me by donating so that we can buy some food. So that we do not die of hunger, Please don't leave us alone, Please donate.
