I have an ugliness.... My name is Tate Frey, but that isn't necessarily important. Unfortunately, it's one of the only things about me you will ever learn- unless you decide to do the unthinkable and get close... that is impossible... But perhaps I can provide you with a tidbit of information. I am 22, living on my own in Mt. Hope, Ontario. I have hobbies that some would find...appalling. Alas, I don't feel its necessary to share those with you... To love.

“Other people might let you treat them like shit but I won’t. So shove the uppity attitude back up your ass and get out of my face.” His voice is low, angry. He had no idea who this guy was, but he was surely the meanest person Fletch had ever met. He had an immediate hatred of the guy, and he didn’t even know who he was. “Low-class, uncivil heathen? You think I’m being uncivil? You’re the one going around stomping all over other people. You clearly have no respect for anyone other than yourself and quite frankly, your behaviour is disgusting.” Then, the smoke is blown in his face. “That’s fucking it.” He growls, immediately swinging a punch at the guy’s jaw with as much force as he could muster.

The direct hit to the jaw certainly stung, but Tate didn’t react in a manner that was animalistic, instead lifting his hand to where he had taken the blow, a sharp sting erupting along the lining of the bone as he soothed the area with his fingertips. That would certainly flush into a blue and violet bruise in the future, and selfishly, it was that thought that angered Tate more than the hit itself. “Fair enough,” he responded slowly, giving Fletcher a moment of victorious pride before he grabbed for the hand that had swung at him like the tongue of frog. Tate yanked it back towards himself, and with swift and thoughtless precision, in a matter of seconds, he had the lit tip of his cigarette pressing into the flesh of the other guys palm. He twisted it, ensuring that there would be a glorious little burn there before he shoved the man's hand, and his body, away from his own. “You say you’re civil yet, you act like an animal. My, as you say, “disgusting” word choice might be appalling to you but my actions tend only to line up when I feel the need to sacrifice for personal gain. Like at this current moment,” Tate finished with a shrug and tossed his cigarette on the floor. “Wanna hit me again?I can’t say there won’t be consequences for doing so, but you can if your childish little self is still upset with the fact someone doesn’t have immediate respect for you, or anyone at all.”

A shiver of what was most likely fear ran down her spine as Tate stepped closer. However, Arabella was an actress, awfully good at keeping her face straight and emotionless when needed. “Yes, yes– You don’t care, I sure as hell don’t care, I think we’ve already established that. Now, are we going to start with the I-hate-you-more or finally move on?” The woman folded arms over chest, biting back a smile. “Aw, are you still mad about me not showing up when you wanted me to? Sorry, but life got in the way. Unfortunately for me, I can’t always follow my heart.” Intrigued, Ari lifted her hand, fingers curling around his neck. “Yes, perfectly clear, Tate. You mean like this? –Except, your grip would be much tighter of course.” A slight smirk appeared on her lips; technically she did not need him, he was definitely not the only dealer in town. As for her her place… Her place was on the throne. Yet, he would not believe her if she voiced her thoughts. So she let it go. And him, too.

As soon as he felt the warmth of her hand slip around the structuring of his throat, he was quick to grab her wrist, yanking her arm in a way that brought her minuscule frame towards his taller one. “You see what I think you don’t understand is I would be more than willing to give up my very reputation in order to ensure you suffered. I gave you very clear and very strict instructions, and you failed to follow them. You signed yourself up for this, you could have gone to anyone else, yet you came flocking to me with the most pathetic of excuses for my services...” He had no tolerance for her attitude, and because no one was around to rebel against him doing so, he used his empty hand to cup her face, pinching her jaw between his fingers. He angled her face up in a way that exposed the entirety of her neck, ensuring she had to stand on her toes to resist from straining her own breathing. “You know what I’m capable of doing to you, Arabella, don’t think for a second I won’t go to extreme lengths, either.” The man, irritated, harshly released his hold on her face, his grip on her hand following suit. “Now are you going to let me guide you to your merchandise, or are you going to keep irritating me?”

“Oh I’m sorry. Did I offend you with my fucking language? I’m terribly fucking sorry. So fucking sorry.” She rolled her eyes. “I don’t know if you’ve noticed but your in a bar. People swear all the fucking time. Sorry if I’m not a lady.” Kassia ignored him until he made a comment about her being over the table, she turned around to face him. “Oh yeah? Well that’s what I’m here for clearly. Your sexual gain.”

Her visible anger only brought him delight, eyebrows rising in fascination with the woman in front of him. “Oh no, you didn’t offend me.” He said coolly, clearly not moved or phased at all by her attempt at a comeback. “Oh really? Is it? Well then I wouldn’t go around singing your purpose, sweetheart. I’m not gaining anything from this either, I’m not a fan of a lady with a foul mouth. But, other men in this bar...” Tate clicked his tongue, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

“Don’t patronize me.” Fletch says quickly, not having any of this guy’s bullshit. “I’m not gonna move for you and the more of a dick you are, the more stubborn I’ll be come. Trust me, buddy,” he lays the condescension on thick. “You’re not gonna win this one if you continue to act like a spoiled brat.”

“I’ll patronize whoever I want.” Tate responded, his voice not rising like the others, instead finding a happy resting place in mocking sarcasm. “Well, if I won’t win this one like a spoiled brat, perhaps I’ll have to win it like a low-class, uncivil. heathen like yourself.” Tate proceeded to pull a cigarette from his pocket, twirling it between his digits before placing it between his lips and lighting it. He gave the nameless man in front of him a moment or two to gather his next excuse of a witty response while he lit the cig, puffing the fresh smoke as soon as it caught flame in the other’s face.

“Quite the contrary, actually. I have a substantial comprehension of English and French.” Perhaps she wasn’t actually fluent in French yet, but she would soon enough.  “I simply have no desire to waste the energy required to move for someone as untactful as you.”

“The eye roll is very classy and very unappreciated, little girl.” Tate sneered with no tolerance for childish attitude. He had somewhere to be, and he held importance in the lives of many addicted individuals. “Unless you’d like to be told your resistance was the reason a bunch of animalistic fiends didn’t get their dosages, I’d highly recommend moving of free will.”

“Listen I don’t wanna hear about missing people, it’s all super sad but my cat got out and he’s super dumb and overly friendly.” she said. “so if you see him - or find him, get him and call me and there’s a reward, it’s that simple. Not asking you to get together a team and go foraging for him.”

“Your cat....is super dumb and overly friendly?” The man, intrigued by her strange affection toward the animal, chuckled a bit. “What strange characteristics for a feline, alright lady, I’ll help. Not because I care about you, or your super dumb and overly friendly cat, but because a hundred dollars sounds beyond appealing to selfish bastard like myself.”

“How about you walk around me jackass?” Kass called out as she was busy trying to clean up one of the table that the customers just made a huge mess of the table.

“Has anyone ever taught you that cursing is very unlady like?” The man bit back rhetorically, really not caring to hear about her issues and waving a dismissive hand. “Also, has anyone ever taught you that bending yourself over a table is highly suggestive?”

“If that was complex I’m a bit interested in seeing your simple.” The man, in desperate need of a beer, refrained from pushing the conversation any further though he felt no remorse or risen respect for the man on the other side of the wooden barrier between them. “Apologies,” Tate lied easily through a grimacing smile, pushing a hand of lanky digits through his tousled blonde hair.

 “Long day, didn’t mean to take it out on an innocent man such as yourself who does such weighty work to support the alcoholics of Mt. Hope and keeping this place looking damper.” Tate didn’t mean that as an insult, but it was perhaps a sarcastic compliment that could be taken however desired. “Think the salt could be replaced with a beverage and traded for a few, crisp bills?”

“Mm. What you don’t or apparently can’t understand is that I couldn’t care less about what you want, Green Eyes. Let’s get down to business instead. Make love, not war and all that. Or you can be the one to do the moving.”

Threateningly, Tate stepped forward, his insanely large build towering over that of the small ginger. “Listen to me, sweetheart; Let’s not forget who's in business with who.” The man, eyes grey with irritation, tilted his head as if he were in the process of studying a prey. “I think you forgot about how this works. We do business when it’s convenient for me, I couldn’t care less about what you want or think. I gave you a time to meet me, that time is not now. So move out of my way or I won’t hesitate to rest my fingers around that pretty little throat of yours. Do I make myself clear, Arabella?” He stepped away, returning her the personal space he had stolen moments earlier. His voice shifted to a more civil one, a mocking smirk playing at his lips. “Either you learn your place or”- he mocked a poofing motion with his hands, “-bye bye addictive release.”

Wickedly, the man grinned, dragging his grey eyes up and down her frame before chortling in mocking amusement. “Elder certainly explains your appearance....but I’m afraid you won’t be getting any such language from me, no matter how inspiring you thinking your title is to my actions.”

“My grasp on the English language is far above average, actually. I simply chose to ignore your message. Don’t be an asshole and you might get what you want. Comprende?”

“Language language, little boy.” Tate mocked, mainly the mans appearance in the form of comparing him to that of a puberty-enduring young boy. “-I’m afraid that petty excuse of advice that won’t inspire me to change my ways, but it will inspire me to change my words; Move, or I’ll move you myself.”

Mandy watched as a lanky nerdy type failed to utter anything but a few stutters before apologizing to the blonde and stalking away, drink shaking nervously in his hand. “Oooh. You really showed him. Look how fast he darted away from you tall, blonde and pouty.” she teased from her spot at the bar.

“Oh glorious,” Tate murmured with an annoyed grin, turning and leaning his back against the rim of the bar, hands folded in front of his stretched chest. “If it isn’t the parasite that delivers me nothing but discomforting agony, Mandy; remind me again why I haven’t drugged your beverage and tied you up in my basement for my own sick and twisted amusement, yet?”

“So like - my cat is high key missing and it’s freaking me out –” she said handing them a leaflet with the picture of her cat on it followed with a hundred dollar reward. “if you see him, please call.”

“High key..? What in gods name does that even mean?” The man, with slender digits,  questioned as he tapped this pamphlet the distressed woman had given him. Curious, raised brows arched up on his forehead as he drew his grey eyes to her. “In all honesty lady, your cat is as good as gone. We can’t even find people in this town, anymore...What makes you think anyone has time to spend looking for a cat?”

“It is clear you have a lack of understanding when it comes to the English language...so let me put my phrasing into more,how shall I say, simplified terms...”
