Why Gift Cards Are Great Gifts

As we are nearing the holidays and I get bombarded with questions of what I would like to receive for Christmas, my answer usually boils down to one thing; gift cards. The main reply I get back is that gift cards are thoughtless gifts. However, I beg to differ. I think gift cards are great gifts. I hate the idea of buying or receiving gifts that one is not truly going to enjoy or use. To me, it is a waste of time and money. And yes, I have heard the saying that “the thought is what counts”. And although it is true, I still think it is worthless if it is not valued. People that know me well know I love to go shopping. I love it more when I get to spend money that isn’t coming out of my own pockets hence why gift cards are the best gifts to give anyone, specially me! I can spend the money you give me on things I actually love and enjoy, hence why your gift card to me would be the best present ever!

To have such a beautiful bond and to love someone indefinitely, only to have it all destroyed by insecurities and lies. Now you live a wonderful life separate from mine. And here I am dying a slow death inside.

My son had a pumpkin contest at school this week, which I of course, volunteered him for, in hopes that we could do something fun together. He had to decorate a pumpkin like a character of his favorite book. We chose Pete The Cat. My mom and I ended up doing most of the project apparently. But honestly, I didn't expect it to come out this good. I am extremely proud of us!! Great team work! I think I'm no artist at all and yet, I amazed myself. Let's see what the people think about it in school tomorrow. What ya think?? 😌😊😊

Sometimes you aren’t mature enough yet for your own ideas, writeblr and that’s okay.

I got the rough idea for Anguish when I was fourteen years old, sitting outside a target in my mom’s car. I’m 23 years old now and I’m finally writing a first draft of a decent version of that idea. I can look back at the versions I wrote when I was 14 and it’s a mess. I had a lot of life to live and experience to gain before it became a proper story.

Don’t get mad at yourself now if you have an idea you know is good but you just can’t execute it yet. Some things only come with age and experience. That’s okay.
