basically, they’re being imprisoned and tortured, interrogated brutally. But they refuse to break. So, in a fit of creativity, their captors change their tactics. First, tourniquets are applied to both of their arms above the elbow. At first they think they’re gonna get drugged, but then they get out a shotgun. Their arms are almost completely destroyed, held together by sinew and skin, bones splintered. But they do not bleed to death. Next, they are beaten, nose broken, possibly concussed. Teeth are chipped, their mouth tastes like copper. Finally, drugs. So many stimulants and painkillers. So, so many. They are numb, terrified. They hardly remember what happened or is still happening. Then, they are freed from their restraints and released. Dazed, delirious, doped out of their traumatized, adrenaline filled mind. They stumble away, whimpering and quietly begging for someone, anyone to help them. As they wander, they are followed by their captors, trying to extract a location from their prisoner as they wander.
maybe the whumpee stumbled upon someone who knows them, and they are horrified. Before whumpee could be aided, the captors launch a surprise attack, rushing past the swaying individual that inadvertently led them there.
