hc that Sanji will yell and kick at the crew all day but when you know he's really snapped is if he starts using the customer service voice. Luffy appears in the kitchen for the 76th consecutive time this meal break and gets a strained "can I help you?" and nopes outta there immediately. Sanji asks Nami how she's liking her tea but in a detached restaurant tone and she pushes her sunglasses down and asks when he last slept. Zoro is annoying him for fun as usual when Sanji slips and calls him "Sir--" in a very stern voice and they both just go silent and stare at each other for several seconds. Zoro does the dishes that night without being asked.

I just think that Pallas Cats/Manuls are the most fitting cat for Law to be. Got spotty foreheads, grumpy golden eyes, tear tracks down the cheeks, and look so fed up but resigned with manhandling. And fluffy, did I mention fluffy?

I really love that all the Strawhats call Law Torao.

Every single one of them (besides Luffy obvi) knows Law’s name and can say it, and know Torao low key annoys him.

It’s like a marker of this deliberate and consistent choice they’re making to see the world through Luffy’s lens.

This is not the dangerous supernova turned warlord Trafalgar Law Surgeon of Death- that’s Luffy’s friend Torao. And every single one of them believes in Luffy’s uncanny ability to make what he believes about the world true by force of will and personality. And they are right.

It’s also this little flag of loyalty. Even when they’re being friendly with Law, they’re not calling him what he prefers to be called. They’re calling him what their captain prefers to call him. His standing with them is forever reliant on his standing with Luffy, and this is communicated with this dumb nickname.
