So much money spent on unnecessary, temporary treats. Spend $5 on a milkshake you’ll enjoy for 30 minutes or spend $5 on some new pens or hair ties or nail color you can use and enjoy for much much longer?

According to a study by the University of Illinois being overweight can cost you more in gas as your vehical is burning more to carry the extra weight.

Also being overweight may be preventing you from cheaper means of transportation such as walking or riding a bike.

Thinner waiters and waitresses tend to make higher tips

Thinner people are perceived as more professional and have better chances of landing jobs and promotions. To quote Time Magazine: On average, obese workers earn 2.5% less than those with normal weights.

The cost of life insurance skyrockets when you exceed the recommended weight requirements for reasonable plans.

According to the cdc.gov website the annual cost of treating obesity-related medical conditions in the United States in 2008 was $147 BILLION.
