The Average Team Lucas Fan

Were they looking in a mirror when they wrote these posts? Three sloppy, pig-hybrid monstrosities think they're in any position to comment on another woman's appearance. You know what, I know Chris McNally isn't really on social media, but it sure would be a shame if people tagged him and brought it to his attention that some of his fans were acting like this. It's not his fault evil people have a parasocial relationship with him, but he should probably be made aware of Liz, Jennifer May, TKAinBrier etc. so he can block them and be safe.

Indefinite Hiatus

I haven't been around for awhile and I probably won't be back anytime soon. Someone in my family is going through a medical crisis so every family member is all hands on deck to help out and make sure everyone/thing's taken care of. To everyone who's sent me screenshots and stuff, thank you, but I can't keep up with everything. Feel free to still send it if you want, but I can't promise I'll ever get to it. Not just because of what's going on right now, but because I'm not currently in the mood to see people with an infinite amount of free time on their hands and no problems in their life say things like "Elizabeth dating Nathan is like a woman dating her rapist" or people wishing Erin's boyfriend and dog died in the LA fires.

Just Ignore The Pattern of Behavior

You know why I made that joke? Because there's been a consistent pattern of behavior from TL where Nathan can't turn his and cough without them saying he's just copying Lucas. He wears a suit to a party at the saloon? Lucas wears suits to, he's copying him. Nathan reads a book in one scene. Lucas was reading first! Nathan grabs Elizabeth's neck? Lucas* already did it ERMAHGERD THE WRITERS JUST KEEP PLAGARISING!

*Always ignore if Jack did it first though because it ruins our argument.

Some random TN fanfic someone wrote...

I don't waste my time with fanfiction. In any fandom. Even for things I love. First of all because fanart > fanfiction. Always and forever. Any chimp with a keyboard and a thesaurus can smash out a thousand pages of Mary-Sue self inserts. If I'm reading fanfiction it's because it was recommended by someone I trust who has good taste and judgement or because it's 2006 and I'm on GAFF watching people tear awful fanfiction to shreds.

Secondly, I'm not TN so I'm not interested in reading yet another rehashed "Nathan and Elizabeth had the most perfect date ever and Elizabeth wore the most beautiful dress that needs a 5 paragraph description". If you know any good Fiona and Faith fanfics or a good prequel story with Jeanette and Lucas, let me know.

If you really want me to address TN saying Nathan would never play poker or whatever, fine.

If you're a Nathan fan and think he'd never play poker I don't think you're paying attention. We might not see every time the guys get together for a game, but they've mentioned it several times. It's important to pay attention to the show even when the handsome fictional man you like isn't on screen.

It's never in the context of an illegal gambling ring or something immoral, it's just the men having fun. It's not that deep. Let Nathan bond with the boys. He's more than Elizabeth's love interest and the town's Mountie.

According To Liz, Erin's Been Pregnant For Like 36 Months

Erin looks great for being in her 18th trimester.

Hmm, I noticed Liz doesn't call Chris names for actually having a child out of wedlock*. Funny. Seems to be a pattern emerging.

I'm sure Liz is the very image of perfect health and is in no way a jealous landwhale lashing out that her parasocial relationship with Erin didn't lead to the two of them being best frie-

LOOK AT THAT MICHELIN MAN HAND! She can't stop eating long enough to not chew half her fingers off!

I know tearing into someone for their appearance is low, but Liz has been such a hateful pig to Erin, the other actors and Hearties on all sides that I really don't care. Liz, if you're reading this, if you ever post a photo of yourself I WILL come down on you like the hammer of the gods. Erin is a healthy weight. That should be celebrated. She's not permanently destroying her body with a corset. Pascale still wearing a corset concerns me and I hope she's not hurting herself just to play Rosemary.

Speaking of Pascale though, I wonder if Liz thinks she's pregnant to since...

...her and Erin are the same weight.

*Chris in no way shape or form should be attacked by anyone for having a child out of wedlock. There's nothing wrong with that and I think it's great that he keeps his child private and not plastered all over his social media pages.

I stumbled across your blog, and I’m confused. It seems like you’ve created this ENTIRE blog to comment on the bad behavior of a specific fandom, but it isn’t OK that others are commenting on the hypocritical (bad) behavior of the same fandom?

I don't know what you're confused about. I made this blog to show proof of people (on all sides) of the Hearties community behaving reprehensibly. It's perfectly okay for other people to call out that behavior to. But you'll notice that on my blog I have proof of these things happening. I don't go "so-and-so totally said THIS bad thing 4 years ago" I actually show what someone said.

I've always encouraged people to message me proof. You can do it anonymously. Months ago I kept asking for people to send me proof of Team Nathan fans acting like jackasses after Season 8 ended (specifically there was a claim that one of them set Erin's photos on fire). I said if the proof could be given I'd pin the comment for 2 months so it was the first post people see. Someone eventually sent me screencaps and links from the Wayback Machine and I kept my word and pinned it for 2 months and had a laugh at even more Hearties acting like a TV show doing something they didn't like was the end of the world. A while ago there were people saying that after season 8 the police had to get involved at the border because a TN threatened Chris. I'm still waiting for proof of that. Actual proof, not people repeating the claim and thinking it's real because enough people have mentioned it.

A lot of Hearties say they're calling out hypocrisy when what they're actually doing is deflecting. A TL fan will call Erin a dumpy whore who should lose her job and a TN fan will come along and say "what is wrong with you?" and then, rather than address how the TL fan is reacting and how it reflects on the fanbase, other TL fans will jump in and go "BUTWHABOUT THIS THING I REMEMBER YOU SAYING 4 YEARS AGO?".

I'm not on any Team and no one is immune from being called out. I've called out and laughed at people who had previously said they enjoyed my blog and I've given compliments and agreed with people that I usually call out for acting like unhinged lunatics.

If my blog offends you, don't read it. I only post here. I don't interact with anyone on any other social media site. If you don't like being called out, then remember:

-The Internet is public. People are going to comment on things other people say. For good or bad.

-People have been laughing at idiots on the Internet since it was created. That's not going to end anytime soon.

-If you don't want people pointing and laughing at you for frothing at the mouth and screaming in public then stop frothing and screaming in public. 

-Maybe reflect and ask yourself why a behavior is okay when you or your friends/people you agree with do it but somehow it becomes bad when people you don't like do it.

I stopped watching the rookie because I didn't like the main character's love interest. I stopped watching scandal because I didn't like a storyline. I stopped watching after season 8 of wcth. Guess what? I moved on. I didn't post on twitter, a public platform, dumping on the show, saying that this Fandom is full of hypocrites or tweeting the same thing over and over everyday about "emo" trauma. I have a life and a job outside of the internet world. Most of these women say they have husband's. Why don't they spend time with them instead on some fictional man who doesn't exist.

When I was little and still learning English and trying to catch up to everyone else in my class, one thing that I found helped me was reading comics. The visuals helped me a lot when I had trouble with a word. My mother had to fight a lot of ignorant teachers who thought "comic books aren't real books". Looking back it's surprising how many adults would rather follow the rules than follow what's been shown to work. One of my favorite comics was Jeff Smith's Bone. It was safe for kids to read but had some complex topics and an engaging story that I was happy to put the work and effort in to read and understand. And when I say I read Bone I don't mean the collected volumes with colored pages you can get anywhere now. I don't mean the collected volumes with the black and white pages. I read the indivdual issues as they came out. I don't know if it was just where I lived, but it was not easy finding that comic. It was a long series and it took about a decade to be released, but I read all of it and loved it. When I was in college I found out there was a short prequel comic that I had to track down and read. Bone is a long comic, so I won't go into details, but basically the main story has these older characters and it was implied that they all had a long history together. It was implied that two of them (one good, one who later became the villain) had a relationship and the good character "made the wrong choice". In the prequel comic we see these characters meet for the first time and all of the things about their relationship and "the wrong choice" happen within a few days. It felt absurd and rushed. I also had problems with the villain's origin story. To say I didn't like this prequel book is an understatement. It actually ruined the entire comic series for me. This series I grew up with. That I struggled and worked hard to even be able to read and understand. I couldn't go back and read it again and I ended up selling all my comics. And that's it. That's the end of the story. Even though it was a big part of my life for so many years, I left it behind because I didn't enjoy it. I didn't go online and scream at people for still liking it. I didn't call them names or insult them for still enjoying the series. I didn't type up long essays saying how the prequel sucks. Jeff Smith has been trying to get a movie adaption made of Bone and it's been nothing but failure after failure for years. I don't take joy in that. Even if I don't watch it, I'd like to see this series be made into a movie because I know it's loved by tons of people. Move on and find stuff you enjoy. If you just wallow in misery then misery is the only thing you put out and the people around you suffer.

And did you guys notice that in Season 5, Episode 6 "Strange Relations", the ship taking Londo Mollari home is a Primus Class Battlecruiser before the explosion, but afterwards it's a Vorchan Class Medium Warship?

I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder.

It's That Time of Year Again.

The poster for the new season is out so now it's time for all the Lucas fans who only talk about Lucas every day of the year to pretend that they care about the other characters and act offended that they're not on it. I actually don't have much to say since I basically said everything when this happened last year. All I can add is that I like the colors of this one better than last year's poster (the blue wallpaper and Elizabeth's pink shirt look really nice).

Do I wish the other characters were on it? Yes, but let's be honest, the posters that have several cast members on it are okay at best. The problem is everyone's photo looks like it was copy and pasted into the poster one at a time. This is a problem I've noticed with a lot of Hallmark posters. I'm going to guess it's due to a lack of budget and resources compared to bigger shows and movies. I don't blame whoever made the poster since they were probably doing the best with what was given to them, but I think it's fair to say the past season posters with multiple people on them could have been better. When you have 10 character photos that were all taken separately they can't engage with each other and they're stuck in these basic standing positions. If they can't get the cast together for an engaging photo for the season poster, I'd rather have something more visually interesting and artistic like the Season 10 poster.

Do you guys remember way back in 2016 when Trump first got elected and some disgruntled woman got a large tattoo on her body that said "Trump Is Not My President" and everyone pointed out that a) If she's American, then he is in fact her president, and b) she went and paid to have the name of a man she hates permanently etched into her body?

Same logic here. Also the same logic as the TL people who keep posting that shirtless photo of Kevin. I'm going to commit Tumblr heresy here, but do you know who I can't stand? Benedict Cumberbatch. Don't care for his acting and I've seen people with legit deformities that look more attractive than his praying mantis looking face. Do you how many photos of him I have on my computer, phone or other devices? A big old zero. Not even a meme. Do you know how many times a day I talk about how annoying he is? 0

I'm not going to be posting much during December because unlike Unhinged Hearties like Jennifer May, I actually have a family to celebrate the Holidays with and I enjoy pitching in to help bring joy and cheer to everyone around me, so unless it's something I can give a quick response to, it's going on the back burner. Hey speaking of...

Wouldn't Kevin getting on the show because of Kayla just be nepotism though? I thought that was bad. Or do bad things magically become good when it benefits you? Oh no! No the F-WORD!!!1 That's awful. Chris would never stoop that low. He just plays high school teachers who have affairs with his students and then blames them and ruins their lives. Don't worry though, it's okay because "it was a different time."

Didn't Chris himself talk about Lucas getting a new love interest? He wouldn't L-L-LIE would he!?😱 According to Jennifer May, saying FUCK is horrible language, but wishing rape on a woman so she's knocked down a peg is a-okay. If they didn't have double standards, they'd have no standards.

Were you team Nathan, team Lucas, Team Jack or just Team it's just a tv program get over it?

I've always been the kind of person that likes the secondary characters more than the mains. Not just on WCTH, but other shows to. Elizabeth and Jack were great together, but they weren't what kept me watching. Daniel leaving WCTH was a shock, but I was fine seeing how the show would continue.

I do like Lucas and I do like Elizabeth, I just didn't like them together. I know some of the TL people get really upset when you say Lucas has a shady past, but he does, and that's what made him interesting. But being with Elizabeth makes him just another clean cut good boy and, well, that's the Mountie character's job. Pairing him with Elizabeth was a disservice to his character and his potential. I loved Jeanette and I'm sad that it sounds like she won't be back in Season 12. I wish Hallmark would do a prequel movie with Lucas and Jeanette in New Orleans getting into illegal mischief. Show some slight of hand coin tricks and fixed poker games.

Liz is in the middle of a massive freak out on her Instagram at the moment. Every time I think she's done and I get ready to post the screen shots, she posts more so at this point I'm just going to wait until she's done (or banned).

That's not the insult you think it is. The grammar is wrong but it's pretty obvious what they meant. I'll bet money Liz is one of those people who hears someone with a "spicy" accent put the emphasis on the wrong syllable in an otherwise flawless sentence and breaks down screaming "I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU".

I Forgot, Do We Trust IMDB Ratings Or Not?

I've lost track of if IMDB ratings are trustworthy or fake. What's the current argument?

Never mind, let's make the comparison anyway.

Yikes, Chris McNally's movie is a whole point lower than both Erin and Kevin's, but has hundreds more reviews.

But that can't be right. We were told by the best and brightest of his fans that Chris is better than everyone and needs his own TV show where he's the star and Hallmark was going to suffer for... still keeping him on WCTH, but giving him an actual character arc instead of just keeping him as a kissy-face tea sipper. The loss of all his fans was going to destroy the show because there's so many of them.
