Iceangel save me
Benverly with purple by Olivia Rodrigo send tweet
Oh whatâs that? You want me to elaborate? Well donât mind if I do dear reader OKAY. I want to specifically draw attention to the following lines
- âItâs crazy, I had big dreams âtill I tied myself to youâ this is in regard to her ex-husband (Tom Rogan). Before she left Derry Beverly was going to break the cycle of abuse and live her own life, but when she met Tom all these dreams faded into the background. Sure, she still did fashion design, but even that was on his terms for his company. Purple is the turning point of the album and is about toxic, all-consuming relationships, I couldnât NOT mention Tom.
- âYour buzzcut, and scrapes on your knees changed but those eyes I still knowâ Basically the moment they reunited in the second film in a nutshell. They used to know each other inside out, they forgot each other but when they meet again they still feel like they know each other intimately, despite all of the changes they underwent.
- âmade our paths intersect âtill the two lines formed a circleâ this is about Derry 1.0 and Derry 2.0. So their paths were intertwined for a while, they lost each other, and then found their way back together again in a beautiful full circle moment.
- âmelt with you till it all turns black are we so in love are we too attachedâ so this is more headcanon territory, but I imagine Beverly isnât 100% sure when she started the relationship with Ben. Not as in she isnât sure about Ben, or about being in a relationship with him, more so sheâs scared she might end up ruining it by rushing things or how the after-effects of IT and everything impact the relationship. Fear not, however, because Ben is the absolute best man in the world and I donât understand Billverly shippers and why they reject perfection, so their relationship ends better than Oliviaâs.
a lot of people on social media are very cruel about the literacy crisis of course I think everyone should not just read more but read things that challenge them... but when had shaming and mockery ever made you want to do something you're being made fun of for not doing? i don't think you actually care I think you're just glad to have an acceptable target to feel intellectually superior over
from now on iâm shortening warren worthington iii to WW3 i hope u guys are chill with that
In a perfect world I could actually analyse the dynamic between Eddie and Sonia in depth, but alas. Every time she opens her mouth I am overcome with murderous rage rivalled only by that of a scruffy chihuahua
Already made a post like this about another fandom but I do love to beat a dead horse so letâs talk about fanfiction again! Now I havenât mentioned this before because I truly have a staggering lack of It posts on my blog but I would die for Eddie Kasprak with no hesitation or questions, I love that guy. Anyway, people in fandom have a habit of disregarding character flaws, insecurities, etc etc because theyâre not âdesirableâ traits for a person to have and I see this a lot with Eddie. Like constantly. With Richie too actually, now that Iâm really thinking about it. No, Eddieâs germaphobia wouldnât magically go away because he entered a relationship, just as Richie wouldnât magically become the #1 communication champion in Maine. The thing that makes Reddie so compelling as a dynamic is the characters, their relationship to one another, and the unconditional love and care that they have for eachother, in spite of everything.
Oh and the arguing. The arguing too.
This is not me saying that reddie is boring without Eddie as a germaphobe or Richie as a repressed little shit, but it is me saying that everything becomes approximately 1000 times as interesting if you let it exist in its flawed, complex, messy glory rather than polishing every bit of character away until you have two generic white boys who swear at eachother a lot.
Of course they donât like Milly Alcockâs Supergirl. Sheâs a grown ass woman with zero love interests who spends the movie saving her dog, casually dismantling a sex trafficking ring while sheâs at it, and preaching the importance of being good, not nice or smiley or cheerful but good. I for one adored the movie and I really hope Iâll get to see more of Alcockâs Supergirl sheâs now my favorite iteration of her and I love her so dearly.
âSupergirl is a significantly better movie than Superman in every aspect and all the people being nitpicky and gross about it are fucking weirdâ I yell as they drag me to the padded room
Magnus has the funniest pov out of any pjo character but that's not a convo yall are ready for
STOP!!!!
Okay cool! Now, before you headcanon Mike Hanlon as aroace, very carefully ask yourself if youâre doing it because you think it fits his character or because you just ship all of the other Losers together except for him and donât know what to do with him besides that. Because if itâs that second one, maybe come up with something else
(Mike Hanlon is really cool I promise you can come up with something)
Okay thank you, proceed!!
Gotta love listening to a classic as an audio book cause like. The ancient texts. The ancient texts are literally speaking to me. Iâm hearing them.
ALL of the losers were friends. The losers wasnt just made up of reddie, benverly, stenbrough/hanbrough and then mike/stan thrown out on the side, they were ALL friends.
Bev would smoke with Richie, Eddie was incredibly close with Bill, Richie went to go and see a film with Bev and Ben, Stan was who mostly helped Bev when her bathroom exploded with blood, Stan also helped Mike by realising that whatever bird that attacked him isn't real, Ben gave eddie tips on how to hide his injuries from his mum, eddie helped ben feel better about his dad's death, the list goes on and on. They are all friends, they don't just split off into their little couples.
I still enjoy watching the X-Men movies, but after reading So Many comics it's hard to enjoy them like I used to. There's just. So Much Wolverine. And I get that he is a really popular character but âïž the X-Men do not revolve around him. I feel like that's why he has his solo series to be in the spotlight while the main X-Books are about The Team.
The movies were missing The Team. Where is their bond? Where is their love for each other? Where is their genuine friendship? Where is their community?
Mentioned the coffee theory to a friend of mine today and not only did she not know what it was she immediately burst out laughing when I told her the world is healing
GOOD OMENS S3 SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!!
I love that they didnât introduce homophobia into the show even after the universe got remade and we saw human Aziraphale and Crowley. There was never the âoh I canât ask for his number he might not be gayâ thing and that means a lot to me for some reason. GO is one of the only shows that is so intrinsically queer down to its core components, and queerness is never viewed as being âotherâ in any way and I just ugh. I love it sm
I love it when I have the #correctopinions that mean my friends donât have to #executeme
I want to make a post about how I fully believe Morgan and Garcia work as a platonic dynamic but I fear the masses will put me in the stocks and throw tomatoes at me in the town square
