Watch a video made by Fabien Zocco for musician, label runner and festival curator Franck Vigroux's track, "2024" to be released on Cosmo Rhythmatic.
Speaking with Brian Morton in The Wire 364, Franck Vigroux – while influenced by GRM and composer/philosophers like Bernard Parmegiani, Xenakis, Penderecki and Morton Feldman – describes himself as part of a generation of composers in France “who’ve been trying to regenerate music theatre or hybrid forms. I can’t really analyse my ‘philosophy’, but I am particularly obsessed by the intrinsic nature of sound, which surprises me constantly. So I spend my time in the studio searching for sounds, using all sorts of machines and devices. For instance, I’ve just finished a record where I simply played an old guitar through an amplifier with very little additional in the way of effects but with a range of tones and overtones [accordages] – which then become the object of meticulous research.”

DELMORE FX (Das Andere Selbst) // live EXROTAPRINT // live SCULET // dj MISANTROP // dj DELMORE FX, solo pursuer of clingclangs and other vibrations picked up, twisted around and animated to generate a music that fuses primitivism and futurism in an intriguing panoply of tracks. He has released four online albums, a tape on Digital Death Records, and has a new one in the making. With a penchant for the physical as much as for the ethereal, Delmore Fx's music sounds much like the mechanical workings of clocks that evoke other times. His other name is Elia Buletti and he runs the Berlin based label Das Andere Selbst. EXROTAPRINT is a trio composed of percussionist Emilio Gordoa, electronics and percussion player Wolfgang Seidel, and guest bass clarinetist Owen Roberts. A project (or mental space) that has seemingly few traces of existence, Exrotaprint bears the experience and efforts of three musicians/composers/improvisors/researchers hailing each from their own different universes and each with their own colorful myriad of current or past projects. Together, they make an assuredly vigorous move in the abstract wonders of musical communication and group dynamics. DSCRD aka Discordance is a five element ensemble of sound designers and recorders, whose essence converges in techno and dissipates in ambient and experimentation. They're passionate sound crafters, carefully crafting driving percussion and the spaces that surround it into fulfilled compositions that massage the body and point at more unearthly bends of our perception of sound and matter. They have released on Stroboscopic Artefacts and DEMENT3D. This is their Berlin Premiere. The interludes between concerts are the responsibility of the Heizraum resident Dj Sculet. https://www.facebook.com/events/488270807951633/
