HOT TAKE!!! (TW: discussion of su!cide!!)

We need to stop blaming the people who attempt su!cide and start looking at the why.

What drove them to do that? Not “How could they do this!”

People aren’t born wanting to die, it’s the actions around them that causes it.

So next time someone tells you or asks you for support with their son or daughter who’s experiencing su!cidal ideation, don’t look at them and feel pity, no, look at them and wonder why their child is feeling that way. What possibly could have happened to the person to make them crave death over living another day.

I hate this whole “please pray for my child! They attempted and could use support!”

Don’t get me wrong, we should pray for those who need it, but what happened with your child to drive them to such a conclusion?

Like imagine being in their shoes. There your parents are, asking for help with you while being the very reason you did it, isn’t that horrible?

Also, this mainly applies to those suffering abuse from their parents, I don’t know too much about those being bullied by peers or how this would apply. But I do think that if you have supportive parents then it can make the bullying more tolerable. Key word being SUPPORTIVE.

Anyways, that’s all for my rant. Consider spreading this message, yeah?
