Low balls and rejection
So I am going through a tough time during this 2023 recession. I have been trying to switch from my current job to an organisation which is not particularly service based. My goal organization ranges from Mercedes to Big 4s. Honestly, I started applying last year around October and it has been a full cycle because I have reinterviewed at the company which I started from.
Somethings that I am learning that could help you too are -
1. Please state your financial interest in the very beginning as a reason for your switch.
2. Try to convince the technical round interviewer itself to let you know the results, it would save you a lot of time.
3. Do not accept a lowball offer, you know your worth. Somewhere someone is accepting these lowballs and making the market down. (I understand if you are trying switch from toxic work place, otherwise don't accept lowballs)
4. Try not following up too early. HR needs SPACE
5. Do not reveal to anybody about you interviewing outside, it's just an evil eye
6. If you have the time and little motivation, do the side hustle or at least begin it.
7. Keep applying to positions smartly and do not drain yourself
