“Yeah, good thing I won’t miss classes, I’d be devastated,” she teased sarcastically. “Although, it will be pretty nice to go back and feel like a normal teenager again. I’ll probably go stir crazy if they made me stay home. Let alone here.” Kennedy murmured. When he mentioned the baseball season starting up, she nodded, “Yeah, I really hope you’ll be able to play. Have tryouts already happened? Are you missing any practices yet?” She hated to make him stress about it, but she knew baseball was important to him.
“Yeah, I tried.” She laughed softly, nodding towards the tray on her bedside table, “I don’t know how they get away with calling this shit food, it’s hardly edible.”
“Thank god, it would just be such a horror.” Patrick joked along with her, but then nodded a little bit. “Staying home all day would drive me crazy... so I get it. But here the beds are fucking uncomfortable, so I still pity you a bit.” As she asked about tryouts, he hesitated before glancing down. “Yeah, they were almost done when the accident happened. Most of us are injured though, so I don’t know what they’re going to do.” Hopefully they would just use the results they already had. “No, they start at the end of the month.”
“Do you want me to get something real? I can order a pizza and go get it or something.” He pointed out.
