Never Enough Time for Thought.
Two days ago… Is that how you count days passing? It didn’t happen yesterday, it happened the day before that. There was only one real, full day between that time and now, it wouldn’t be two days until it was later in the afternoon and it was still pretty early a-…
His mind seemed to be all over the place.
Kise had spend practically all of yesterday thinking about what had happened the night before. His mind was filled with visions of Aomine sitting on the sofa, cheeks flushed lightly just from the heat that had built between them, his own as well for the same reason, he could remember that feeling. Remember the slick, throbbing pleasure, skin rubbing against skin, breathless kisses and deep moans from Aomine but…
Fuck…
FUCK!
He couldn’t start thinking about that again. He’d be seeing the guy again soon for practice with the team - which basically meant practice mostly between the two of them since they were above and beyond in skill, of course, but… - yesterday didn’t feel like enough of a break when he still couldn’t get his mind away from the shit they did that night at the blunette’s place. Then again… How much time would he seriously need to get it out of his head? Probably far more than would be right avoiding practice, school, and wherever else he might see the guy.
Not that he was sure he wanted to avoid him at all… Did he? It had felt… Well… It felt good, that was undeniable. But was it something that should have happened at all between them? Like, he had to wonder what Aomine wanted from him after that, if he wanted anything at all, and of course how he would act seeing him today. Would he tease him? Would he pretend nothing ever happened and everything is normal? Would he…?
No…
He needed to stop thinking about all this right then. He was starting to feel like a chick to be analyzing all of this so thoroughly, so pointlessly. And while he was usually so damn good at reading relationships between others, he was amazed at how shittily it was going for himself.
Deciding he would do his best to just forget about this for now and wait to see how Aomine would act around him, he took a deep breath and pushed open the door to the gym, through which he’d been listening to the sound of dribbling and his voices teammates for the past couple minutes before he’d walked in. Was Aomine even there yet? He looked around while heading to where he usually puts his gym bag down, taking a few sips of his water as he did.
The fading sun rays of the setting sun cast faint glows over darkened the skin of Daiki's face. His eyes gazed aimlessly at the multi-colored clouds above him, arms folded behind his head with the entirety of his front body facing the open sky. His thoughts were hazy, but the visuals were very clear. The images from nearly two days ago seemed to follow him wherever he went and it was only until now that they plagued him even further.
"I should...go to practice. I should. But..then what?" He mumbled to himself, letting his heavy lids slip shut, light gusts of wind brushing through his navy locks and over the folds in his collared shirt. First off, he had divulged some deep, personal information to his supposed best friend he thought he'd never utter in a lifetime. But it happened. And then after that...after that. Yeah, the best and more important part of all was the 'after that' part. Had he known Kise would have reacted to him like that, he would of tried pushing the limits, maybe even gone for pressing the blond's face inches away from his throbbing dick. But then that would of been going too far. Probably to a point where he would essentially scare the other off running and never look back.
"Damn. Can't get his damn blushing face out of my mind. Fucking idiot." Sure, insulting Kise would make him feel better, but he didn't mean anything by it. If anything, it was his own bottled frustration in comprehending everything that was taking a toll on his thoughts. He hadn't even texted the other for fear of starting up an awkward conversation. Who the fuck wants to deal with that? Not Aomine for sure.
Kicking his legs in the air, his body rocked forward, bringing himself into a sitting position while making quick twists and stretches to his sore joints. The night before he'd practiced on the court for over seven hours straight to clear his head.
It didn't help him too much.
Finally making his way from the top of the university's roof (which he sneakily gained access to via his cute classmate apart of the student body council, he took confident (yet hesitant) steps towards the gym's twin doors. He could hear the muffled voices of the others working so diligently during practice. He was sure Kise was inside. Not because of some sort of psychic feeling, but because he heard the man's cheery voice echo inside, probably greeting that one fucktard who won't leave him alone. Daiki smirked to himself, remembering to keep that in mind when he made his grand entrance.
"Oi. Sorry I'm late (he was not sorry what so ever), I had some things to take care of," He announced, swinging the metal door ajar, scanning the court before azure eyes met with amber for the first time in practically two days. He strolled in, almost appearing to walk in the direction of Kise, but quickly turned his attention to the benches, eager to place his things down and begin practice.
