i've been working on this Crosshares oneshot for longer than i thought it'd take and am so glad to have finally finished. it's my first attempt at writing them, so i hope it's enjoyable. this was mainly done to practice for a big project down the line. side relationships are present and just might show up in a future fic!

âFor now.â Blake emphasizes, walking over to stand beside her friend and look through the pictures too. After a few moments of cycling, she continues softly. âI really do think you could do this professionally if you wanted to, and I wouldnât say that to just anyone.â
âI know you wouldnât,â Velvet replies quietly.

Your favorite work youâve written (or just one you want to give a shout-out to).
first of all, i want y'all to know that i often have a hard time picking favorites, so don't expect many direct answers. this definitely includes favorite work because i like each of them for certain reasons. instead, i'll just give some shout-outs. one i really enjoyed writing was To (Not) Make a Move (which was actually a gift for River!), Best Foot Forward was a fun departure from my typical OT3, honing in on monochrome, i have so many ideas for Jubilee that i plan to someday return to, and lastly, i want to give a special shout-out to Three Huntresses and a Child, which still surprises me by being my most popular fic to date. i still have the sequel planned!

i feel like titles aren't my strong suit, but i'm going to go with Best Foot Forward, To (Not) Make a Move, and [redacted] for a future fic i can't discuss yet.
How do you get inspiration to write?
what inspires me is everything and everyone around me. i know it sounds cheesy, but it's true. i feel like the best way to really get a satisfactory answer to this question is to have an extended conversation with me. there's an entire world that's inspiring to me, and i can't fit that in one answer. but maybe you can if we chat :)

i mainly just chill. i like reading, listening to music, playing games (Hades) on the Switch i recently got, stuff like that.

i'm glad that i finally get to share this, but i've been part of orchestra, choir, and band in school. it's why i'm excited for that band AU that will eventually be completed!

i'm not very active by choice, but the interaction i have gotten from people has been nice. i appreciate every interaction on my fics, especially since i haven't posted in over a month. despite that, people have still found me and my writing. i appreciate each and every one of you. <3 i hope to finish something soon!

Also, yes, Iâm very much American but I decided to use the non-American lingo in regards to soccer here. Donât look at me expecting logic, my friends, I just do what the winds of whimsy tell me.

Blake pulled the hotel door shut behind her, following after her teammate and best friend who was further down the hall and carrying their tote bags. While she didnât hold the same superstitious beliefs, Yang swore up and down theyâd lose unless they brought along their âluckyâ practice ball; after going back to retrieve it, the woman seemed satisfied and started walking towards the elevator while Blake caught up. âThis is ridiculous, you know that right?â
âHey, donât sass me; weâve never lost a road game when weâve had the ball,â Yang said, already wearing her keeper jersey, the material stretched a bit thin over her muscled frame. It had seen better days but, much like the ball, the woman refused to replace it, especially during their run up to the championship. âA little extra luck canât hurt anyone. Except the other team, I guess.â
âIt can make us late, though,â she said, one of her ears flicking back as one of the doors they passed opened and closed- had to be other patrons of the hotel, seeing as the rest of their team was already downstairs by the bus. âWhich would mean we forfeit.â
âWeâre not running that late,â Yang replied, throwing a grin her way. Then, lilac eyes were drawn behind them and lingered a moment before her lips pulled into a very specific smirk. Blake knew that smirk- it was the âoh, Iâve got an idea, you might not like it but youâre gonna do itâ expression, because aside from being one of the best keepers in the region, Yang Xiao Long was also ridiculously persuasive. Dangerously so, in fact. âHey. Toss me the ball.â
âYour hands are full.â
âWasnât going to use my hands.â
Blake narrowed her eyes, vividly remembering the last time someone tried doing agility drills down a hotel hallway, and picked up on the subtle look behind them. After a few more steps, she turned to say something about the game to Yang as an excuse to glance behind them. And then, it all made sense.
