Picturesque Prints Of Wildlife Inspired By The English Countryside
Catherine Rowe creates beautifully detailed, nature-inspired art. Rowe graduated from the Cambridge School of Art in 2013 and has since transformed her love for wildlife and nature into unique prints, paintings and designs that have become her signature style.
Each print has a subject, which is primarily an animal, but the artist portrays it in an abstract manner, with elements of its natural environment scattered about such as leaves, twigs, flowers, stars and insects.
On closer inspection, her strokes are thin and numerous, following a path for each layer of texture to create an effect similar to stippling and dotting. Her wildlife characters invoke a respect for nature, and the vintage picturesque paintings are reminiscent of the English countryside and its iconic variety of wildlife. Find them in her Etsy shop.
