Celebrating Mr Man

Two years ago today, in 2014, the Nahnee Bori album Mr. Man was released. The madman behind the album, Cody Uhler, is probably best known for his sonic escapades in the game Dots, Two Dots and Dots&Co but he makes plenty of music on his own that explores wildly different sonic territory.

Mr Man is an album of unexpected instrumentation, filled with swirling sounds and loops. I suggest dipping your toe in the waters with “Geometric Set” or “Bubbleguts” but fully immersing yourself in “External Recap” - one of my all time favorite songs in the yk records universe.

One year ago today, Nahnee Bori’s album Mr. Man was released. It continues to be a strikingly beautifully and slightly odd record. It’s an orchestra of swirling sounds and instrumentation not of this world. Revisit it if you don’t know it.
