french loche "burbot" looks extremely similar to swedish lake "id." but i guess they're unrelated? different genders (french f. ON m.) & loche seems to more usually mean slug or loach (loach being from OF loche) so i guess it makes sense but still an odd coincidence. both etymologies somewhat unclear anyways
