One of the funniest misconceptions in the bmc fandom to me is that everyone doesn't grasp how rare Mountain Dew Red is.

Like I'll constantly see in fanfictions that Michael just has cases upon cases of the stuff, and that isn't realistic. With Crystal Pepsi and stuff like that, yeah that's feasible. But not Mountain Dew Red.

Mountain Dew Red was released in 1988 and could only be found in parts of Alabama for a year or so.

A single can of the diet version sold for about $1,500. An empty can of the diet sold for over 600. People have sold bottles for multiple THOUSANDS.

You'd be extremely lucky to find a single bottle even being sold. And if you do find a full unopened bottle, expect to pay 900 dollars AT LEAST.

Bmc obviously isn't real, so people can do whatever they want idc. I just think it's silly to think about after having researched the soda!

This shit is so fucking rare it's absurd. Every time a bottle pops up for sale, everyone goes, "This is the only unopened one left!" Because that's how unexpected it is to see.
