âThis is the deepest meaning of the theory of karma: that you are responsible. Once you understand it deeply, that âI am responsible,â half the work is done already. In fact, the moment you realise, âI have been responsible for all that I have been suffering or enjoying,â you have become freeâŚâ -Osho It is often found unusual by friends or family that I believe deeply in karma. I feel that is mostly because the true concept of karma is not fully understood (in fact it something I'm daily trying to understand better myself,) If we can start to accept that, yes, our actions have an effect then we no longer have to feel angry at the world, a higher power, those around us, etc for our suffering. We also donât have to look outside ourselves for the source of happiness. Just as there is great value in extending compassionate action, there is value in facing difficult circumstances. As Osho wrote, life is a mirror, it can only reflect back what we show it. Stand in front of that mirror. Approach it in honesty. Bring awareness to all of your actions.
