Please stop demonizing negative emotions. You’re allowed to feel the entire range of emotions.
If it’s too hard to think positive, think neutral.
I’m no better or worse than anyone else.
I deserve the same things in life as anyone else.
I’m a human being.
Right now, I am feeling ________(fill in the blank).
I don’t know how I’ll feel in 5 minutes, or tomorrow.
I can’t predict the future.
Life is full of painful, pleasurable, and boring moments.
The world is full of good, evil, and gray areas.
Navigating life is complicated. In your early twenties, most life choices seem foreign, confusing, and constricting. This is the time in which we have to set ourselves up for success. But what does success truly mean?
At the end of the day, success is different for everybody. Someone may hope to become the most prominent politician, another may aspire to be the best nurse. Others may simply want to build a stable and happy family. Success isn't a one size fit all. So, act in a way that caters to your goals.
If you love what you do, happiness follows. Don't worry about making mistakes or wasting time. No time is genuinely wasted when you are one step closer to finding yourself!
Break the stigma
Try to be sympathetic to the struggles of others! We never know what someone is going through. Make it a habit to be kind. It might make someone’s day.
Be understanding, not condescending.

Bowling on a Budget in NYC
Let's be honest, sightseeing lost its appeal to all New Yorkers way before COVID-19 even hit. Henceforth, in my trek to find things to do that are fun, affordable, and safe, I have come across the world of Groupon. If you want to bowl on a budget, keep on reading.

Skincare Obsessions: Normal to Dry Skin
Once I took Accutane about 4 years ago, I have been the happiest with my skin. After years of antibiotics that did nothing for my acne, Accutane was a life changer. I took the medication for 5 months, and the only thing it has left me with is dry skin-- which is pretty tolerable if you ask me.
Nowadays, skincare is my newest obsession. Quite frankly, this is only because I get to experiment with what works for me and see actual results. Anyone who has, or had, severe hormonal acne understands the struggle to look into a mirror and see that the latest prescriptions are useless.
Nonetheless, I have finally found the best products for my skin. Below I have listed my top picks for the winter months.

Be Kind to Yourself
Mental Health is such a neglected topic. It’s almost as if your mental state doesn’t directly impact your quality of life and work.
Oh, wait... it does.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to take care of yourself and your headspace. At times I know it is beyond us, and if it ever gets to the point in which you feel it is too much for you to handle, do not think you need to suffer in silence. It does not make you weak to admit that you aren’t where you wish you were. Even I had to come to terms with that.
All I am here to say is to be kind to yourself. Not only are we struggling with our own inner turmoils, but we are also trying to keep afloat amid a pandemic. Personally, zoom university has not been the kindest to me. There have been moments where I have had to take a step back and assess what really matters. Me or my work? Thankfully, I have learned that it is okay to choose me.
So, this is your daily reminder to choose yourself too.

Young Love: Is it worth it?
Relationships are tricky, especially the ones that begin at a young age. Since I am the designated relationship advice person in my friend group, I’ve decided to share three tips that hold true in almost all situations.
1. If you are questioning whether being with someone is the right choice, I recommend you take a step back and possibly ask for a break. Do not force yourself to be with someone who you are not completely infatuated with. The last thing you need is to build resentment towards your partner. Don't waste time. Its either all or nothing.
2. Ignore those who say you will miss out on your twenties because you have decided to commit. If you believe your relationship holds value, ignore outside pressures. Your lifestyle is yours, and only yours. Not everyone will understand why you do the things you do.
3. Be willing to grow. When you date young, you must understand that the person you are with will change. You will change. Even the relationship itself might change. But, this shouldn't be a problem if the love is still present.
Building Your Closet: Fall Edition
Category: Tops
If you open your closet and automatically think you have nothing to wear, you are not alone. However, before you spend money on statement pieces or outfits you will only wear once, see what you have and fill in the gaps.
To start off, I listed the basics you need in your closet. And remember, as you start to build, stick to black, white, and neutral colors.
Oversized Gaphic Tees: Streetwear fashion is all about the baggy look. However, if this isn't your style, it is not a necessity.
Long-Sleeves: This is essential when layering clothes for warmth as well as for aesthetics. You can wear these tops under baggy tees or open button-downs. I know that for a while, I simply didn't purchase long-sleeves in standard colors. Now I own an obscene amount of striped long-sleeves that do not match anything in my closet.
Tank Tops and Vests: Neutral tank tops are so important when it comes to streetwear fashion. Depending on your style, you can go for a more cropped look.
Button-downs: Baggy button-downs are another great layering piece. You can play around with different fabric textures to make your future outfits interesting. Personally, I love corduroy button-downs.
Turtle Necks: As a kid, I always hated turtle necks. I found them itchy, constricting, and just plain ugly. But, now that I am fully adulting, I can appreciate a good turtle neck. You can layer these under a graphic tee or a dress.
