As a newbie Thomasian, the feeling was unfathomable. I had goosebumps from the beginning to the end of their routine. Tears escaped from my eyes when I heard the loud cheer of “GO USTe!” by the Thomasian community.
What really made me proud is that I didn’t see any UST fans bashing another school (through social networking sites) even though lots of people are underestimating and doubting the abilities of the Salinggawi Dance Troupe because of their recent performances in the CDC. Instead, they just showed their support to Salinggawi and let their performance speak for them. Even though they were aiming for the championship, Thomasians were already contented for placing third. No bitterness. No hates. No BUTTHURT FANTARDS. They just thought of it as a stepping stone to do better next year so that maybe, just maybe, they may get their ninth championship title. For me, they are an epitome of HUMILITY, one of the traits that a Thomasian value the most.
I realized that we are not just people supporting UST or people studying in the same school. We are a family.
"They won something worth more. The support of the Thomasian community." Congratulations UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe!
