Best Friends Brother G.W x Reader
Summary: Y/n has a crush on George Weasley, her best friend's brother.
Warnings: Kinda Angsty? Age gap, not proof read, good ending.
WC: 1.6k
The Burrow was unbelievably hot tonight. The hum of night seeped through the open windows, yet Y/n found herself tossing and turning on the floor of Ginny Weasleyâs room. With only a couple weeks left of the summer it was tradition for the two best friends to spend the rest of their time together before the summer was over.Â
Y/n and Ginny were two peas in a pod. Y/n was there for Ginny when she found the mysterious journal that Y/n begged her to get rid of. And she was there when Sirius Black was roaming the castle, keeping an eye on Ginnyâs back while Ginny did the same. Y/n was also there for the Quidditch World cup when they were all separated from each other in the forest.Â
Y/n was there through it all.Â
But so was George Weasley.Â
Ever since Y/n could remember she had a crush on her best friendâs brother. It wasnât intentional, goodness no. Y/n had tried to go out with many boys, but it never seemed to work out. And she hated that she had a crush on him because it seemed like she was invisible to him.Â
George Weasley could never be into his little sister's best friend. They had practically grown up together. And there was no way he could be into her now that she was going into her 5th year, while he had dropped out in his last year.Â
At least thatâs what Y/n thought.Â
After tossing and turning until the wee hours of the morning, Y/n found herself in the dark kitchen, holding a glass of water.Â
She looked out into the grass outside, and admired the stars. Y/n lived in the city with her muggle parents who seemingly wanted to remain in the fog about the wizarding war, but even they knew something was wrong in their daughterâs world.Â
Y/n loved the nature around the burrow. It was peaceful, and gave her a sense of calm. Most of all down stairs she finally felt cool.Â
âWhatâre you doing up so late?â Y/n jumped at the groggy voice.Â
It was George.Â
âHot. Couldnât sleep.â She shortly answered. Most of the conversations Y/n had with George were short.Â
They were only short with George, Y/n had a really good relationship with Fred, and Ron. Even Bill, and Charlie when they were around. Her relationship with Percy was just fine before he had a spat with his family.Â
The only strained relationship she had with one of Ginnyâs brothers was George.Â
She finally turned to see him. He was shirtless, and had only pajama pants on. Y/n couldnât even blame him. She would be shirtless too if it was socially acceptable. He also grabbed a glass of water, but he sat at the table.Â
âAnd why are you up so late?â Y/n questioned. Her body no longer facing the outside, but now leaned on the counter facing George.Â
âSame reason as you. Canât stand the heat.âÂ
Y/n shrugged, seemingly satisfied with his answer.Â
A silence fell over the pair, and it wasnât exactly comfortable.Â
George sighed. âReady for school?âÂ
Y/n rolled her eyes. âReally? You, George Weasley, are asking about school?â School wasnât particularly his place of interest.Â
George scoffed. âJust trying to make conversation.âÂ
âWeâve known each other for five years, you donât think you couldâve made conversation then?â She sassily replied. Perhaps it was the heat, and years of frustration built up surrounding the boy in front of her.Â
George stood, and walked over to her. âYou have no idea.âÂ
Y/n looked up at George who was now inches away from her. âOf what? How youâre the only one in your family that seems to dislike me?âÂ
âI wish it was that.â George leaned down close to her, so close they could kiss before pulling away. He walked back to the table before finishing his cup of water and heading back up the stairs. âGoodnight, Y/n.âÂ
Y/n was confused, and hot in the face. What was he even saying? Implying?Â
Despite her confusion, and frustration from her almost kiss with George she finished her glass of water and headed back up the stairs. Y/n knew which creaky steps to avoid on her way up, and in the darkness she knew her way around well enough to get back to Ginnyâs bedroom. Even then, she couldnât shake the feeling that someone was watching her on her way back to her best friendâs room.Â
She settled back into the mat on the floor, deep in thought. Three years wasnât that much of a gap.Â
Y/n had grown since she met George, obviously puberty had hit. But her relationship had seemed to plateau after the first conversation.Â
In the morning breakfast was the same, except this time both George and Y/n could feel a tension between them.Â
Y/n tried to ignore it but it seemed like the twin just couldnât. âCould you pass the sausages, Y/N/N?â George said, trying to remain neutral, but even Fred clocked a bit of irritation in his voice.Â
âSure.â She replied, not even looking up.Â
The other siblings looked at each other but shrugged it off.Â
Eventually the Weasley siblings, and Y/n were all scattered around the living room, when Mrs. Weasley announced that they were going to have dinner in the back yard that night for Hermioneâs arrival, and that the yard needed Gnoming.Â
Gnomes were nasty little buggers, and Y/n was not so keen on the idea of Gnoming. She had only ever done it once or twice before with the Weasleys. This time it was not optional.Â
Despite the blistering sun, everyone grabbed a pair of gloves, and began to Gnome to yard. It was chaotic from the very beginning, Ron earning a nasty bite on his finger, and Y/n nearly getting a chunk of hair pulled out.Â
Once all of the Gnomes were successfully driven away, the sun was beginning to set. Ginny and Y/n were tasked to set up the table while the boys brought the extra tables to the backyard.Â
While the two girls were alone in the kitchen and washing up while they laughed about the numerous events during Gnoming, Ginny suddenly asked Y/n what was going on between her and her brother.Â
âSo, whatâs been going on recently with you and George.â Ginny asked. Y/n never told Ginny about her crush on George. But she didnât have to, they were best friends. She just knew.Â
âWhat do you mean?â Y/n questioned, as she began to wash her hands. âYou know George and I rarely talk.âÂ
âYeah but this morning it was different. It was like you two were actually uncomfortable. Did he do something?â Ginny accused her brother, not wanting her friend to feel uncomfortable in her house as a guest.Â
âNo! Truly. Itâs always a wonder staying here. I love the Burrow. Itâs justâŠI donât know, sometimes it feels like George is the only one that doesnât like me in your family.â Y/n dried her hands and leaned on the counter with her hands crossed, mirroring Ginny. âI donât know what I couldâve done to make him feel that way.âÂ
âI think itâs âcause he feels weird about fancying you.â Ginny snickered, Ginny looked out at her brothers who were fighting with the tables in the air.Â
Y/n was utterly shocked. âMe? Fancy me? Your brother does not fancy me.âÂ
Ginny looked back at Y/n. âIâm serious. I think itâs the age gap thing, but honestly I think he has a bit of a crush on you. Always has. He does that thing when he gets nervous around you. It's hard to explain. He gets a bit quieter, and more nonchalant.âÂ
âI seriously doubt that Gin.â Y/n scoffed with a playful smile.Â
âIt wouldnât be a bad thing. That way we can finally be sisters.â Ginny teased.Â
Once Hermione, and Mr. Weasley arrived, dinner began. It was lovely to have dinner in nature, with the hum of nature and crickets in the background, while laughter and conversation filled the night.Â
The sleep wasnât that great for Y/n however. With three girls in one room, it became extremely overwhelming for Y/n. The heat was too much to bear, so she went downstairs for a glass of water.Â
This time it was George waiting for her.Â
âWhat are you doing down here?â She said, grabbing a glass and filling it with water.Â
âSame reason as last night.âÂ
Y/n hummed in response. âSo, are you gonna explain what you said last night or are you gonna leave me in the dark.â She sat next to him at the table.Â
George shook his head. âYouâre insufferable.âÂ
âMe? I havenât even done anything.âÂ
âYouâre justâsoââÂ
âSo what?âÂ
âYou! Youâre just so you. Youâre insufferably cute, insufferably nice, insufferably perfect, and insufferably too young.âÂ
âIâm not even that much younger than you!â Y/n argued.Â
âItâs bad for me to want you.âÂ
âNo itâs not. Iâm older now. Youâre not even that much older than me.âÂ
George dragged his hand over his face before giving in. He grabbed Y/nâs face and kissed her like he had been wanting to for years. Like he needed to have her.Â
Y/n thought she was dreaming. The boy sheâd had a crush on for years, liked her back, and was kissing her too.Â
âGinny is gonna be so mad.â George whispered.Â
âSheâs actually excited. Says weâre gonna be sisters.âÂ
George rolled his eyes, and tucked Y/nâs hair behind her ears. âYeah, weâll see about that when weâre older.â

1, Year 4, 1993
For the first two years of her little brotherâs career at Hogwarts, Y/n tried to keep her distance from himâ per his request. He was a young boy, just starting his amazing magical career, and Y/n understood that he wanted to flourish by himself while she idly stood by watching him struggle to do just that. She never lost faith that he would though.Â
Now, it wasnât like they hadnât interacted, of course they talked throughout the year, and studied in the library together. However, being in different houses helped with the distance that Neville wanted to keep. Y/n was a Hufflepuff, the house a lot of people thought Neville shouldâve been placed in. Y/n thought otherwise, she trusted in the Sorting Hatâs judgement very deeply, her loyalty never faltered.Â
Y/n loved her brother endlessly, and was happy to oblige with whatever wishes the boy had. So when Sirius Black had miraculously escaped from Azkaban prison over the summer, and Neville had insisted they would stay close together in fear of the man, she was glad to do just that to make him feel comfortable. She knew exactly why he was terrified, Sirius Black was the cousin of Bellatrix Lestrange, their parentsâ torturer.Â
While Neville had been the one to request her to stay away, he was also the one who gravitated towards her when he felt afraidâwhich was half of his time at Hogwarts. Y/n would never deny him anything, she was his big sister, how could she ever? So, even though they were not together for most of their time at Hogwarts, they had been seen around each other to note that they were in fact siblings, it was a mystery how none of his fellow lions seemed to realise it.Â
It was the first breakfast of the term, the Longbottom siblings walked down the aisle arm in arm, hooked intertwined with each other. âDo you think Sirius Black would ever try to enter the castle?âÂ
âI highly doubt it, Nev. The castle is protected by talented Professors, itâd be an idiotic mistake to attempt to.â Y/n logically answered, visibly calming her brotherâs nerves as they walked through the grand doors of the Great Hall. Y/n was very good at grounding Neville when he was feeling especially anxious. Y/n walked Neville down all the way to the Gryffindor table where his friends resided. âAlright, Neville, Iâll be off at Hufflepuff table, Iâll meet you at the courtyard for lunch, okay?âÂ
Neville nodded. âAlright.â Y/n nodded happily, before kissing Neville on the forehead, and turning her heel to leave. Neville went pink of embarrassment, one of the reasons he had asked Y/n to keep her distance was because she was very affectionate, hugs, and kisses on the cheek and forehead were her go to greetings, and biddings. Not that he minded, however things that seem little in private, and the comfort of your home seem different under the gazing eyes of your peers.Â
Neville brushed it off, and sat down. âMorning guys.â He was now seated across from Ron Weasley, Harry Potter, and Ronâs older twin brothers Fred, and George.Â
âMorning, Neville.â Ginny Weasley chimed from beside him, Hermione Granger echoed her one seat down.Â
âI didnât know you had a girlfriend, Neville?â Said Ron, through his mouth of sausage.Â
Neville, Ginny, and Hermione looked bewildered staring back at Ron. âGirlfriend?â Neville asked.Â
Fred, and George looked at each other knowingly. âThe Hufflepuff that just dropped you off.â Fred teased.Â
âMeeting you in the courtyard for lunch?â George raised his eyebrows in amusement. He was quite a bit jealous of Neville, the Hufflepuff he had never seen before was quite gorgeous to him. The four boys laughed, and Neville looked at Ginny, and Hermione.Â
âThatâs his sister!â Ginny cackled, and shook her head.Â
âSister?â All of the boys said in a synchronised surprise, how is it that theyâd known Neville for three years now, and had never known he had a sister?
Hermione rolled her eyes. âDo you ever pay attention? Her name is literally Y/n Longbottom. Honestly.â
âOlder, or younger?â George asked, he was trying to see if it was appropriate to grow a crush on the girl.Â
âSheâs a fourth-year.â Neville answered. âWeâre together all of the timeâŠâ Sure they hadnât spent every waking moment together, but they were together enough to put two, and two together that they were related. Longbottom was a particularly easy name to miss.Â
âA fourth-year?â Ron repeated.Â
âYes, Ron, he just said.â Fred jokes, causing them to laugh. But George was distracted, his eyes across the room looking at the boyâs brother. She was gorgeous, and there was something about her that made him want to find out more. He knew her last name, and that she was a Hufflepuff, but that was just about it.
âOi, Georgieâs staring.â Lee whispered to Fred. Fred looked at his brother, and followed his gaze.Â
âNo wayâŠâ Fred whispered to Lee, Fred sat in between the two. âGeorgieâs got it for Nevilleâs older sister!âÂ
After the first day of term, George had started to see the girl everywhere, in places he had never noticed her before.Â
He began to notice her when she walked past the Gryffindor table with her friends in the mornings, and afternoons. He saw her on his way to Potions in the corridors while she was on the way to her next class as well. And most of all, in the libraryâ well exiting the library when he was on his way back to the common room from Quidditch practice. He began to make it a point to try and see her whenever he could during these times. It was a small, simple crush, one he figured he would let go of once he realised she was the type of girl that would never give him the time of day for his personality that was seen as immature, and loud.Â
George Weasley, and Y/n Longbottom were opposites, totally, and completely.Â
2, Year 5, 1994
George Weasley thought that his crush on Y/n Longbottom would dwindle, but noâŠoh no.Â
During the summer he hadnât given her much thought, but once he saw her at the train station on September 1st, he remembered why he had liked her so much. She was glowing, and was with Neville. He berated himself for nor noticing her sooner.Â
âOi.â Fred whispered. âYouâre staring.âÂ
George furrowed his eyebrows. âAm not.âÂ
âAre too.â Fred teased.Â
âSo what?â George rolled his eyes as they stepped onto the train.Â
âSo. Youâve got a crush on Y/n Longbottom.â Fred chuckled.Â
âItâs not a crushâŠâ George looked back onto the line of students waiting to also board the train. Her, and her brother were just a few students down from himself, and his own brother. âSheâs justââ George tried to find the words. âIntriguing.âÂ
âSoâŠyou like her.â Fred shook his head, and shared a look with Lee.Â
âOh, heâs got it bad.â Lee snickered.Â
Later on in the train ride, George really, really had to go pee. He wasnât sure why he had held it for so long. Perhaps it was his extremely short attention span that made him put it off, afterall the conversation he, Fred, and Lee were having was quite remarkable. A conversation of which Slytherins they were to prank this year, and the mysterious âeventâ that was going to occur at Hogwarts.Â
He was walking down the aisle extremely fast to get to the lavatory at the end of the aisle, that was so close, yet so far. He was walking so fast that he didnât realise one of the compartment doors had opened, and a girl had walked out. In his defense, the girl was not looking into the hall either, and would not have seen the redhead that was zooming to the bathroom because her head was turned to her friend.
Of course, as all people do when they arenât paying attention to their surroundings, the boy, and the girl crashed into each other. The girl George crashed into? Y/n Longbottom. Great, George thought to himself, not only did he need to pee extremely badly, he had also just embarrassed himself in front of the girl he had a raging crush on.Â
The girl, being so different in body mass from him, fell straight to the floor. George was mortified. âI am so sorryââ Until she started laughing. It was melodic, and George could've sworn heâd just heard a chorus of angels sing. George let out a hand for her to take.Â
She continued to laugh while she took it. âItâs alright. I wasnât looking where I was going.â She sighed, dusting herself off.Â
George looked at her, no, not looked, inspected. He could not believe how that just played out. There was a moment of awkward silence, George forgetting how to function completely, even the feeling of the uncomfortable need to pee was gone. Finally he realised he hadnât even checked on her. âAre you okay?â He asked, hoping she didnât notice the effect she had on him.Â
She nodded. âNothing but a bruise on my bum, Iâm sure.â She joked. She hadnât really hit the floor that hard, she was fine.Â
George nodded, and began to walk backwards. âSorry again.âÂ
âDonât worry about it.â She shook her head, with a small smile. A small smile that went a long way for George, as his cheeks went pink once he turned around to make his way towards the lavatory again.Â
Of course, there was a line he could now see as he approached. He curiously looked back, just to see if Y/n was still in the aisle. He wasnât expecting her to be just a few paces behind him. He now realised she needed to use the restroom too. He internally panicked. Things had just been adding up, he needed to pee extremely badly, he had just practically knocked the wind out of the girl he had a very big crush on, and now after just knocking her over, had to stand in line for the bathroom with her.Â
George gulped now that she was caught up to him, and standing in the line as well. He leaned on the wall, and looked up before huffing. âAre you okay?â He wasnât expecting her to make conversation.Â
He looked down at her, she looked really concerned. She could definitely sense his uncomfortableness. He nodded. âI feel like I should be asking you that, consideringââ He wasnât trying to make her laugh, but she let out a small chuckle.Â
âYou donât have to worry about that. I'm a-okay, I promise.â She reassured him. The conversation went idle, before George gathered up his courage to keep it moving.Â
âYouâre Nevilleâs older sister, Y/n right?â Smooth George, ask her questions you know the answer to already, he mentally berated himself.Â
She smiled at the mention of her little brother. âYes, heâs my little brother, heâs in your house, and youâre one of the Weasley twins.â George opened his mouth to confirm which twin he was when she cut him off. âWait, let me guess!â Neville had told her that whenever he wanted to differentiate the twins he always looked for a mold on either one of their necks, because George had one, and Fred didn't.Â
She inspected his neck subtly, and quickly found the freckle Neville was talking about. âYouâre George.â She confirmed.Â
George raised his eyebrows in a pleasant surprise. âYouâre right.â He chuckled at her excitement, albeit she cheated, but who cares? Not him. George was a little sad when the line got to him, and he entered the lavatory.Â
Finally, he was able to empty his bladder. Once he got out, Y/n was patiently waiting outside of it for her turn. Y/n smiled, as she entered the bathroom. âIâll see you around, George.âÂ
âAlright then.â He said, although immediately regretted it. Alright then? He couldâve said anything else, but that. He couldâve said, âSee you around.â or âSee you tooâ instead he said, âAlright then.â Before he could redeem himself, the lavatory door was already closed.Â
He groaned. He was less of a ladyâs man then his twin brother was, but he was still not bad when it came to getting girls in his court. What was it about Y/n Longbottom that made him soâŠnervous?
3, Year 5, 1994
The Yule Ball was in full swing, the date was confirmed for Christmas day, and the halls were buzzing on who was bringing who, or who they were asking. George was stumped. After the incident on the train ride to Hogwarts with Y/n, they had become good acquaintances. They waved to each other in the halls when they passed by each otherâ George had changed some of his class routes to align with hers, and they would even have short conversations in the mornings sometimes when she would stop by to talk to Neville.Â
George was the last one in his friend group to not have a date. Lee was going to Alicia Spinnet, and Fred had coolly asked Angelina Johnson to go with him on a whim during study hall, leaving just him.Â
George wanted nothing more than to ask Y/n to the ball. Especially when heâd caught wind that Ginny was going to the ball with Neville. Now that there was no Quidditch due to the Triwizard Tournament, he didnât see her coming out of the library like he used to, but figured she might be there at around the same time.Â
Last year practice would end at around 7:00 pm. So thatâs where he went at 7:00 today. He went to the Library corridor, and waited for her to exit. He had it all planned out, he would make it look like chance that he was there when she came out, and then he would say hi, and bring up the ball, and ask her. It was simple, but he was nervous. Very nervous.Â
Finally he saw her walking out of the library with her things. He walked opposite to her, and greeted her. âY/n! Hi.â
She furrowed her eyebrows, she never saw George around the library anymore especially now that Quidditch was paused for the year. âHi, George.â She had gotten pretty well at telling the twins apart, mostly because Fred didnât really speak to her. âWhat are you doing here?âÂ
âOh you know just walking, butâ now that I have you here, I was hoping to ask you something?â George started, he could feel the words getting stuck in his throat.Â
She nodded, she wasnât even expecting the words that were going to come out of his mouth. âYeah sure, whatâs up?â She asked curiously, giving him her undivided attention, whatever it was it seemed important.Â
George gulped. âI was just wondering ifâŠâ He paused, and she waited patiently. He took a deep breath. âIf you wanted to go to the ball with me?â George immediately regretted even coming to the corridor when he saw the look of rejection flash onto Y/nâs face.Â
âOhâŠIâm sorryâ She started, George sighed. âI really wouldâve loved to, George. Truly. But someoneâs already asked me to go, and Iâve already said Iâll goâŠwith him.â She explained, a Durmstrang boy sheâd gotten to know a bit from her Magical Creatures class had asked her just a couple of days ago. But she also wouldâve loved to go with George if he had asked her sooner.Â
âOh.â George sighed, the sting of rejection was laced in his voice. âWell, thatâs alright, then. Iâll justââ He turned to leave. But Y/n stopped him.Â
âI really am sorry, George.â She said in a sorry tone. âI wouldâve loved to go with you.âÂ
âNothing to be sorry for. I guess I should be sorry for asking so close to the ball.â He scratched the nape of his neck, the ball was next week.
Y/nâs expression remained sour. âMaybe we both can be sorry.âÂ
4, year 6, 1995
Georgeâs crush on Y/n had somewhat mellowed down this year. It was still very much there, but as they became closer friends throughout last year, her presence seemed to dull his big feelings about her.Â
When he was abruptly woken up in the night to the news that his father had been attacked in the Ministry, he was distraught. Groggy, and achy he and his siblings made it to the headmasterâs quarters, where they had gotten news that his father was attacked brutally, but was found, and was now safe.Â
Which led him here during his winter break. At St. Mungos Hospital to visit his father. Himself, Fred, Ron, Ginny, Hermione, and Harry walked aimlessly around the hospital, they werenât allowed to visit Mr. Weasley until he had awoken. Mrs. Weasley had told them to spend their time âexploringâ, whatever that meant. Theyâd gotten to a room, it had many old witches, and wizards in the room, the plaque on the door was labelled as, Permanently Magically Incapacitated. That sparked the group's attention, but their interest deepened more when Ginny recognised two people in the room.Â
âIs that, Neville, and Y/n?â Ginny said to her brothers, and friends.
âNeville, and Y/n?â Ron repeated.Â
Hermione peaked through the windowâs blinds. âIt is.â She pointed out. âAnd thatâs their grandmother.âÂ
âWhy are they here?â Harry asked, and the others shrugged.Â
âWe should say hi.â Ginny suggested, making her way to the door. Before any of them could stop her, she had knocked on the door, garnering the attention of Neville, and Augusta Longbottom.Â
Somehow, in the five seconds it took for them to get to the room, Y/n had disappeared, which saddened George. Neville seemed nervous that they were all there.Â
âUhh oh! Hey guys.â He acknowledged them, once Ginny waved. His grandmother eyed him. âOh, grandma, these are my friends, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron, Ginny, Fred, and George Weasley.âÂ
His grandmother, a tall intimidating woman, reminded George of Y/n. She had the same perfect posture, and the same piercing intimidating gaze. âWhy are you here, Neville?â Ginny curiously asked.
âMy parents live here.â Neville shortly said, he sounded scared to reveal the truth.Â
âThey liveâŠhere?â Harry asked.Â
Neville nodded, he wasnât expecting his grandmother to give them his parentâs whole biography. Towards the end of her long rant, George had caught sight of Y/n. He mustâve lit up or made a face, because his grandmother turned to where his gaze was. The sight was despairing, as Y/n walked arm in arm with a frail thin woman, she looked just how their grandmother explained how their parents ended up here. Insane from torture.Â
âNeville, Mum has something for you.â Y/n quietly said, her face surprised to see all of the familiar faces looking at her.Â
âAgain?â Her grandmother said. âVery well, Alice, dear. Very well. Neville take itâ whatever it isâŠVery nice, dear.â Her grandmother said to her mother.Â
âThanks, Mum.â Neville said, taking the small bit of paper from her hands. It was a gum wrapper. Y/n let out a small smile.Â
In that moment all of the others realised why Neville was, the way that he was. And why Y/n was so protective, and respective of him and his boundaries. George admired Y/n at that moment. He realised she probably had to have had a lot of self resilience to have grown up the way that she did.Â
George wanted to converse with Y/n, but her mother was pulling her elsewhere into the room. As if on cue, Nevilleâs grandmother had excused the two of them from the conversation. âWell, weâd better get back. Very nice to have met you all.â She began to follow Y/n and her mother. âNeville put that wrapper in the bin, she must have given you enough to paper your bedroom by now.â George heard their grandmother instruct.Â
Just as George was about to follow the others that were now filing out of the room. Y/n shortly told her grandmother something before calling out for him. âGeorge!â She said, slightly jogging over. âHey.âÂ
âHey.â He smiled, happy that he was able to speak to her just for a bit.Â
âJust wanted to say hi. But I ought not to keep your family waitingâŠâ Y/n snickered, seeing an amused Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, and Fred staring at them through the window of the room.Â
âIgnore them.â He rolled his eyes, there was an awkward silence between them, there was always an awkward air that surrounded them mostly due to George and his feelings for her, but also her blooming ones for him.Â
âSo, what are you guys here for?â She asked curiously, trying to fill the awkward air surrounding them.Â
âUhm, my Father. He was attacked while working in the Ministry. Heâs okay though.âÂ
âIâm glad to hear. Well, I better get back to my parents. I hope your Father feels better soon.â She grabbed his hand and squeezed it in comfort. âSee you at school, George.â She smiled, before letting go of his hand, and happily walking over to her parents, brother, and grandmother.Â
George had thought his crush on Y/n Longbottom had mellowed, but the way his heart pounded out of his chest from the way she held his hand. The feeling was something heâd never felt before. Heâd held hands with tons of girls, kissed tons of girls, but never had they once made him feel how she did.Â
When George had finally joined the others in the corridor outside, he was teased relentlessly, mostly by Fred, and Ron. However, he didnât seem to care nor deny the fact that he did in fact have feelings for Y/n, because quite frankly it was undeniable now. George Weasley was deeply, utterly in love with Y/n Longbottom.Â

After Dumbledoreâs Army had been caught, George, and Fred had cracked a plan to end Umbridge's madness once, and for all. Of course, with the plan came dropping out of school, and beginning to work on their joke shop.Â
Y/n was currently helping younger years with their wounds after having their detention with Professor Umbridge. As most Hufflepuffs were, and like her brother, Y/n was good with herbs, and plants. One of the plants she grew in her own dorm was Dittany, a plant that was used in many healing potions, and had many magical healing properties.Â
She sat in the Gryffindor common room, because most of Dumbledoreâs Army was Gryffindor students, healing the studentsâ wounds. George watched her, waiting for his turn, all of the older students collectively decided to let the younger students go first. They could handle the pain for much longer than the younger ones could.Â
Y/n looked like she was in her element, healing people. She had once confided in George that she wanted to be a healer at St. Mungos. He could definitely see it. George admired how she could be so maternal at her age. She was very mature. It made George insecure about his feelings towards her, he felt they would never be reciprocated just because they were so different.Â
But he couldnât have been more wrong. Y/n had grown to like George just as much as he liked her, only she was a little bit better at hiding it. It was apparent to everyone except the pair of them. George was next in line for Y/nâs healing.Â
They conversed while she did her routine. A couple of drops of essence of Dittany, and then a wrap to prevent irritation. She wouldâve done it faster, but because they were conversating she moved a bit slower than usual.Â
âHow bad is it doc?â George joked, as she dropped the Dittany onto his skin.Â
âHorrible, I think youâll need extensive care after this one.â She played along, now wrapping his wounds with medical tape.Â
âI donât know doc, I think a kiss on the cheek would do it for me.â He was feeling bold, but he wasnât expecting her to actually kiss his cheek.Â
âThere, all better?â Y/n asked, her voice was almost teasing. George nodded dopily before allowing the next person to be healed.Â
âWhy donât they just get together already.â Ginny asked her brothers, Harry, Hermione, and Neville, watching Y/n start her healing routine. Neville looked shocked.Â
âTogether? My sister?â Neville questioned, he noticed they were friends now, but it went completely over his head that they liked each other.Â
âThey flirt with each other all of the time,â Ginny chuckled, and the others agreed.Â
âItâs sickening.â Ron added. âGeorge reckons she doesnât like him back. Thatâs why heâs so afraid.âÂ
âY/n doesnât reallyâŠdate. At least from what Iâve seen.â Neville said, now keeping his eyes on the pair, he looked away for a split second.Â
âAre you sure about that?â Fred asked, as he looked at his flustered brother. Y/n had just kissed George on the cheek.Â
Neville was very unsure.
6, The beginning of the war, 1997
After the twins dropped out of school Y/n hadnât seen much of them until she joined the Order of the Phoenix as a healer after she graduated. Her parents were a part of the original Order, it didnât come as a surprise to anyone when she happily accepted the invitation.Â
George had long forgotten about his crush on Y/n, thinking about her from time to timeâ itâd been over a year since heâd last seen her. Until he saw her at one of the Order meetings for the first time. All of his feelings came flooding back. She looked older, her face had matured, and somehow she was even more beautiful than he remembered. Her head was tilted back as she laughed with Tonks while they waited for the meeting to begin.Â
After the meeting concluded, they had a short conversation catching up on their time spent apart. âLongbottom, long time no see.â He cheekily said.
âHello, George.â She chuckled. âHow have you been? I hear youâre a successful business owner with Fred. I knew you could make it out of selling from your trunks in the corridors of Hogwarts.â Â
During their years at Hogwarts, George, and Fred sold their products from their dorms, small things like their canary creams. Y/n was the only Prefect that let them off with a warning every single time they were caught.Â
George chuckled. âYes, have you been? I wouldâve seen you if you had.âÂ
âI have.â Y/n nodded, George was surprised, he greets every single one of his customers, he wouldâve known if Y/n Longbottom walked into his store, in fact he wouldâve been ecstatic to see her.Â
âYou have? Perhaps you walked in when I was on break. Trust me, I wouldâve known if you were in my shop.â George seriously said, but Y/n laughed, making Georgeâs heart swell, it was a sound he hadnât heard in forever.Â
âFred greeted me when I walked in, so perhaps you are right. I was only there for a few minutes, otherwise I wouldâve been late for my shift at St. Mungos. Very impressive what you two have done with the shop.â She informed him. George groaned, having missed her by a few minutes, he wouldâve loved to see her sooner than he had now.âCongratulations.âÂ
âYou too, youâve always wanted to work at St. Mungos.â Y/n was taken aback that he remembered such a small detail about her.Â
âThank you.â She smiled, before catching a glimpse of the time. Her smile dropped. âIâm so sorry. I have a shift at the hospital now. I would love to stay and chat, but I have to go. I'll see you next time.â She smiled, and apparated away with a pop.Â
George was left alone; he couldn't even say goodbye. Fred, and Tonks watched with amusement written all over their faces. âHe still has a crush on her?â Tonks remembered in 12 Grimmauld Place, the other teenagers would tease George about his crush on the girl all of the time. Fred nodded.Â
âOh heâs in love.âÂ
That was two weeks ago. It was July 27, and tonight they were transferring Harry to the Burrow. Y/n was a stand on healer, in case anything happened. She was to wait at the burrow for the others with her remedies, and potions for any injuries that might have occurred during the transportation.Â
Y/n hadnât seen George since the meeting, but she was having a deep conversation with his mother as they waited for the others to come to the rendezvous point. Mrs. Weasley, and Ginny were nervous. So was Y/n, the anxious air engulfed the room, so much so that after her conversation with Mrs. Weasley Y/n found herself on the front porch.Â
The groups were late now, and Y/n was starting to worry. She looked up at the night sky if it were under different circumstances she wouldâve thought the summer night to be beautiful, and calming, the way the crickets chirped, and the wind moved the grass.Â
The calming sounds broke when the sound of the barrier being broken was heard. One of the pairs had arrived. Ginny was bolting out of the door, and running towards the approaching pair, it was Hagrid, and the real Harry. Y/n let out a small sigh of relief, however that was still six other groups left unaccounted for, one of them being George.Â
âHarry! Hagrid!â Mrs. Weasley exclaimed. Y/n stood behind her with Ginny. âWhat happened, where are the others?âÂ
âIs no one else back?â Harry asked, and Y/n shook her head dimly.Â
âThey were on us from the start, Molly.â Hagrid explained, making Y/nâs stomach churn. âWe didnât stand a chance.âÂ
âWell, thank goodness you two are alright.â Mrs. Weasley said.Â
âThe Death Eaters were waiting for an ambush.âÂ
âCome inside, Iâll have a look at you.â Y/n said, while Ginny walked over to Harry. She figured she would let them come in on their own accord.Â
They had barely made it a couple of steps towards the house before another pair came through the barrier with a loud whoosh, catching Y/nâs attention.Â
âHere!â Lupin shouted, holding onto a bloodied Harry, transforming into one of the twins, not just one of the twins, George.Â
Y/n went straight into healer mode, immediately rushing over to take the other arm of George to act as another crutch, although she wasnât of much help due to Harry beating her to it. âQuick! Into the house.â Instead of waiting around, Y/n rushed into the house to grab her potions, and healing supplies.Â
âOh, my boyâŠâ Mrs. Weasley said, making room for him on the couch. Y/n grabbed her wound-cleaning, blood replenishing potion, and calming draught for George, ignoring the ruckus from Lupin, and Harry. If it were anyone else she would have remained calm, but she was nervous having to care for George. Mrs. Weasley was hunched over George, but made room for Y/n once she saw her making her way over.Â
Y/n placed all of her potions down. âMrs. Weasley, could you please get me a warm damp towel?â Mrs. Weasley nodded, and made her way to the kitchen. âGeorge, can you open your eyes, I need to see ifââÂ
Georgeâs eyes opened as soon as she asked. âYouâre beautiful.â He abruptly said.Â
âYou must be concussedâŠâ She concluded, her wand was dimly lit. âFollow my wand please.â George did as she asked perfectly, meaning he shouldnât have been concussed.Â
âI mean it.â George whispered, he had just almost died, and all he could think about is how he never asked out the woman he loved, out of fear.Â
Y/n shushed him, her cheeks pink. âLet me care for you, and when youâre all better you can tell me all about it.â She grabbed her calming draught, and poured a bit into a small cup. âDrink this.âÂ
George drank it down with a big gulp, immediately feeling lighter, his tense body releasing. âThis might sting just a bit.â She whispered, gently wiping away the excess blood from the side of his head. Her expression went even more serious when she realised George no longer had an ear. Still, he inspected her while she worked. She dropped a couple of drops of her wound-cleaning potion onto his wound. He winced. âSorry, I know. I know.â She could feel the eyes boring into her now that more of the others had begun to arrive.Â
She added the blood replenishing potion before sealing his wounds. âVulnera SanenturâŠVulnera SanenturâŠâ She waved her wand around his head. Fred now kneeled beside Y/n while she cleaned up her supplies. She stepped away to give the brothers some space, and to grab her wraps to wrap his head.Â
âHow are you feeling, Georgie?â Fred asked. He still had a lot of blood in his hair, and on the side of his face.Â
âSaint-like.â George answered.Â
âCome again?â Fred confusedly requested.Â
âSaint-like. Iâm holey, Fred. Get it? Iâm holey?âÂ
Fred shook his head, and smiled. âThe whole wide world of ear related humor, and you go with, Iâm holey. Itâs pathetic.âÂ
âReckon Iâm still better looking than you.â George chuckled, and Y/n came back around with the wraps, and another wet towel to clean the rest of his blood. Y/n kneeled beside Fred, and from behind her heard:
âMad-Eyeâs dead.â Bill Weasley announced. âMundungus took one look at Voldemort and disapparated.Â
While they grieved, Y/n continued her job. Moody was a kind man, but a man Y/n hardly knew. She cleaned the rest of the blood off of Georgeâs neck, and head. âNow that Iâm all better, can I tell you how beautiful I think you are now?â George whispered.Â
âYouâre still in a daze, and medicated up. I doubt youâre not kidding me right now, Weasley.â She said, but a small part of her hope he was being serious.Â
âIâm serious. Iâve had a crush on you since my fifth-year.â George confessed in a low voice.Â
Y/n paused, before continuing to wipe the blood off of his skin. âMrs. Weasley, heâll need a change of clothes.â Mrs. Weasley nodded, and walked up the stairs. She began to wrap his head.Â
âLet me take you out on a date.â George asked, lifting his head slightly off of the pillow so she could wrap his head.
âA date?â Y/n chuckled, but continued. âWhere too?âÂ
The others shamelessly watched while the two flirted. Ginny, and the trio sharing cheeky glances.Â
âAnywhere you want.â Y/n let his head down.Â
âAnywhere?â Y/n confirmed.Â
âAnywhere.â George nodded, although he was in pain, and a bit dazed, he knew he wanted this more than anything.Â
âIt took you almost dying to confess your feelings to me all of these years?â Y/n asked, realising how serious George was.Â
George smiled. âSounds about right.âÂ
âAlright, how about the Saturday after the next? If my calculations are correct, your ear should be mostly healed by then.â Y/n suggested.Â
âSounds like a plan, doc. But I think Iâll be fully healed if you kiss me right now.â George tried his luck, and smiled when Y/n leaned in.Â
Y/n paused, her lips practically brushing against his. âLater, not in front of everyone.â She pulled away with a proud teasing smile. âYouâre crazy, asking me to do such a thing in front of your family.â She chuckled.Â
âCrazy for you.â He whispered.Â
âYou sap.âÂ

Day 1 âI just donât understand where it all went wrong!â Cho dramatically fell back onto Y/nâs bed. Cho had brought up her horrible date at Madam Paddifootâs Tea Shop with Harry PotterâŠagain.
âWellâŠâ Y/n wasnât sure how to come about her words. With the recent passing of her friendâs late boyfriend last year, Y/n had been very careful with her choice of words around her friend. Who wouldnât have been? âYou did leave him at the shop, maybe you just need a bit of time before you get into the dating scene again, Cho.â Y/n sat down next to her friend, who was now sitting up. She put an arm around Choâs shoulders, and rubbed her upper arm. âAny guy wouldâve run for the hills like Harry. I meanâ do you remember your first kiss with the boy?âÂ
Cho had told Y/n everything from the mistletoe, to her crying into her âmake out sessionâ with Harry Potter in the room of requirement. Cho snickered a bit, âEasy for you to say. No boy would ever run away from you, youâre too much of a catch.âÂ
âYou flatter me, Miss Chang.â Y/n rolled her eyes, and pulled her friend up. âCome on, Iâve been invited to the Gryffindor postseason Quidditch party, and youâre my plus one.âÂ
Cho groaned. âDo we have to? Why couldnât it have been Hufflepuff?â She whined as Y/n dragged her to the closet.Â
âBecause.â She shrugged. Plus, Gryffindor throws the best parties, and I promised Angie Iâd be at the next one after I bailed on her last time.â Y/n reasoned. âItâll be fun~âÂ
âAlright, alright. Only because itâs Friday night.â Cho reluctantly agreed.Â
By the time the girls had gotten to the Gryffindor common room, the party was in full swing. They had a long table of food, and drinks, and there were students from all houses enjoying themselves.
Angelina Johnson quickly spotted Y/n after sheâd stepped into the common room a couple of minutes ago. âY/n! You came! And you brought Cho!â She hugged Y/n tightly before pulling away. âWell donât you two look nice?â Angelina smirked, and she twirled Y/n around.Â
âYou look beautiful tonight, Angie.â Y/n giggled, and kissed Angelina on the cheek.
Angelina giggled too. âCome on, come on! Letâs get you two a drink in those hands!â She whooped over the chatter, taking a sip from her own red cup.Â
Across the room, unbeknownst to the girls, were five boys talking, Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, Lee Jordan, Fred Weasley, and George Weasley. âYouâre delusional, mate!â Fred roared with laughter. âYou couldnât make anyone fall in love with you. Let alone in ten days!âÂ
âI would beg to differ, ladies love me.â George slumped back into his chair.Â
âCorrection, they love me.â Fred smuggly said, taking a sip from his cup.Â
âYouâre barking!â Ron howled. âI believe in George, Fred might get the ladies, but Georgie can make a girl swoon.âÂ
âThanks, Ronald.â George cheered to him with his cup, before drinking a sip.Â
âAlright.â Fred grinned as a lightbulb appeared over his head. âI bet you canât make a girl fall in love with you in ten days.â Harry was now tuned into this conversation, heâd been distracted ever since Cho walked into the common room.Â
âTen days? Why so specific?â Lee asked, he too was intrigued by this wager.Â
âSeven days is too little, thatâs only a week.â Fred explained. âBut fifteen days is too much, then it gets too serious.âÂ
âAlright deal.â George took up the bet, he loved a good challenge.Â
âAh thereâs a catch, brother.â Fred carefully warned.Â
âLay it on me.â George challenged, whatever it was didnât matter, George had loads of girlâs just like his twin brother at his beck and call.Â
âI get to pick the girl.â Fred shrugged, taking a sip out of his cup. âDo we have a bet?âÂ
George had already gone and said heâd do it, he couldnât back downâ not with his dignity on the line. Even though the circumstances were less than ideal, he agreed. âAlright, whoâs the girl?âÂ
âYou see that girl with Angie?â Fred pointed over at the entrance of the common room, all five boys instinctively looked, especially Harry Potter, who realised Cho was also with the group of girls. He hoped Fred wasnât about to pick her. âThe Ravenclaw girl thatâs always with Chang? Pretty smile, being twirled by Angie?â Harry let out a sigh of relief. Fred had picked Choâs friend: Y/n L/n
Fred had side knowledge about this girl to make it harder for George. He knew that in all of her six years at Hogwarts, sheâd only had one boyfriend, Adrian Pucey. They were only together for about two weeks before she called it quits. She never wanted to date him in the first place, it was only because it was a double date with her, and Cho. The other boy Y/n couldnât even remember the name of.Â
George knew who she was. Y/n was a sixth-year, heâd heard many things about her, and knew she was a fair chaser on the Ravenclaw team, but theyâd never actually spoken before. âY/n?â Said George.Â
âBingo.â Fred raised his eyebrows. âWe still got a bet, or are you too chicken?âÂ
âYouâre on, Freddie.â George chuckled, downing the rest of his drink. âIâll have this girl liking me in one night.âÂ
âMmm,â Fred tried to speak, but he had a sip of his drink in his mouth, he only spoke once the burning liquor was down his throat. âLike, and love are two very different things, my dear brother.âÂ
On the way to get their own drinks, somehow theyâd gotten on the topic of Y/nâs love life. âOh come on, Y/n! I never see you out and about with a fling!â Angelina urged. âThereâs got to be someone.âÂ
Y/n smiled, and shook her head. âOh please. Boys are a waste of time. Especially Hogwarts boys.â Y/n giggled.Â
âTrust me, Angelina. Iâve tried.â Cho rolled her eyes.Â
âIf I dated a boy, Iâd lose him in ten days. I swear! Theyâd leave running!â Y/n sipped on her drink, she didnât like drinking, but occasionally she would let loose with a cup of whatever sweetest liquor the party had to offer. âI bet my life on it.âÂ
âNo boy in their right mind would ever run away from you.â Angelina scoffed with a snicker, and drank from her cup.Â
âItâs true!â Y/n argued.Â
âThen do it.â Angelina smirked. âI donât think a boy would go running away from you in ten days.âÂ
âIs that a bet, Johnson?â Y/n tilted her head with a wicked smile. She loved wagers.Â
âYou bet your ass it is, L/n. Find a boy tonight!â Angelina began to walk away to mingle with some other people. âIâm counting on it!â
âI wonât disappoint, Angie!â Y/n laughed as she walked into the crowd of people.Â
Y/n and Cho sat on a couch, talking to some of their other Ravenclaw friends, Maria Glossup, and Pamela Alton. âY/n?â Maria smiled.Â
âYes, Maria?â Y/n smiled back.
âWould you do me the biggest, fattest, favor ever, and please refill my cup?â Y/n was closer to the drinks table. Y/n laughed at her small yet long request.Â
âOf course, love.â She smiled, standing up, and grabbing her friendâs cup. âAnyone else?âÂ
The other two girls shook their heads. âIâm all tapped out, Y/n.â Pamela slurred.Â
âAlright. Iâm glad you know your limits, Pam.â Y/n laughed, before walking over to the drinks table. In Pamelaâs defense, sheâd arrived a lot earlier to the party than Cho, and Y/n did.Â
Y/n was minding her business pouring her friend a drink, she noticed a presence beside her. She ignored the person, thinking they were just waiting to also refill their cup, until he spoke.Â
âWhatâs a Ravenclaw like yourself doing at a party like this?â He smoothly asked. Y/n looked up to see one of the Weasley twins at her side. She almost let out a snarky remark, until she remembered Angelinaâs words. Find someone tonight. Ten days, that's all it was, of course, George Weasley was thinking the same thing.Â
âThe same as you.â She turned her body fully toward him. They stared at each other for a moment, it was as if they were both unsure of what they were doing. âHiâŠâ Y/n finally broke the silence, and put out a hand towards him. Y/n had never actually spoken to any of the Weasleyâs, even in Dumbledoreâs Army meetings. Y/n was half-way sure the twin she was talking to was George.Â
âHi.â George smiled back, taking her hand. He wasnât sure what he was expecting, but he wasnât expecting her hand to be so soft against his rough ones. Especially since sheâd been so proficient in Quidditch. He expected at least a callus or two.Â
âY/n L/n.â She introduced herself.Â
âGeorge Weasley.â Y/n had never actually said this though out loud but she thought the last name Weasley was cute, it was close to Weasel, which were one of Y/nâs favorite animals.Â
âCute.â Said Y/n. She hadnât flirted with a boy since probably her fourth year.Â
âThank you.â George smiled, he had thought Y/n was talking about him.Â
âI was talking about your name.â Y/n informed the boy.Â
George looked to the side sheepishly, before looking back at the girl in front of him. âThank you two times.â George laughed, and she let out a small one too.Â
âSingle?â Y/n asked, she knew far too well about the Weasley twins romantic endeavors, there were far too many to keep track.Â
âCurrently.â George answered.Â
âLikewise.â Y/n smiled, leaning in just enough to tease him.Â
âSurprising.â George leaned down a bit, and tilted his head.Â
âPsycho?â Y/n questioned, now she was just joshing.Â
âRarely.â George truthfully answered. Y/n remembered his beat down on Draco Malfoy just three months ago on the Quidditch Pitch, and striked his answer as truthful.Â
âMmm.â Y/n acted like she was thinking about giving the boy a chance.
âInterested?â George tried his luck.Â
Y/n paused. âPerhaps.âÂ
âHungry?â George asked.Â
âStarving.â Y/n admitted, by the time her, and Cho had arrived at the party, all of the good food options had been taken by one student or another.Â
âLeaving.â Said George, he knew she would catch on, she was smart.Â
âNow?â Y/n questioned, like he was a mad man.Â
âMhm.â George hummed. He couldnât believe it was actually working, likewise for Y/n.Â
Y/n paused again, before agreeing. âOkay.â She softly said.Â
âOkay.â He agreed, and watched as she slipped away.Â
âGive me one second.â She smiled, holding up her pointer finger.Â
âIâll meet you at the portrait!â He said to her now distant figure.Â
Y/n walked up to her friends, and pushed Mariaâs cup into her hands. âDonât look, but George Weasley is waiting for me at the portrait hole. Heâs taking me somewhere.â Y/n watched as her friendâs eyes widened, and Pamela sobered up.Â
âThe day has come!â Pamela cried, and she sat up.Â
âDonât look! ââ She tried to say but it was useless, Three three girls were all looking at George Weasley, and he was staring back at them. He smirked at Y/nâs back. She groaned. âIâll be back at the dorm. Iâll see you guys later tonight.âÂ
âHave fun!â Maria said as Y/n walked to Georgeâs standing figure. The two walked out of the portrait hole, leaving the loud party behind them.Â
âI canât believe he actually just did that.â Ron shook his head in disbelief.
âI thought you believed in him?â Fred snickered, although he was slightly nervous that he had already lost his bet.Â
âI do, but câmon? Y/n L/n? No oneâs had a chance with her likeâ ever.â Ron reasoned.Â
âSo where are you taking me, Weasley?â Y/n asked as they walked through the dim castle. It was only about half past eight in the evening, although it felt like ten at night.Â
âYouâll see.â George only grabbed her hand, and dragged her with him at a faster pace. âIf you donât put a pep in your step, weâll be caught by Filch, and Norris. Come on.âÂ
Y/n appreciated the humor, she slightly laughed. âAlright.âÂ
George led her to the fruit bowl painting. âI told you I was starving, so you take me to a painting of fruits?â She furrowed her eyebrows. âHow thoughtful.â She deadpanned, this would be the longest ten days of her life.Â
âDo you really think Iâm that daft?â George asked in a fake offended tone.Â
Y/n shrugged. âYou Gryffindors are daring, not the brightest bulbs in the bunch.â She teased.Â
George laughed sarcastically, but he did acknowledge that it was a pretty good jab. âVery funny. If you're so clever, did you know this?â George tickled the pear, and the portrait popped open, Y/n almost gasped. âAfter you.âÂ
Y/n climbed into the portrait, and was spit out into the grand kitchens of Hogwarts. âIâd always heard rumors, but I never dared to try it myself.âÂ
âThatâs what Iâm here for. To be daring.â George played on her words from a couple of seconds ago.Â
Both George and Y/n had barely realised that this was basically their first time talking. Of course theyâd seen each other in the halls, and had been against each other in Quidditch matches more times than they could count, but theyâd never spoken.Â
Throughout dinner in the kitchens, theyâd gotten to know each other exceptionally well. Birthdays, favorite colors, the works. What Y/n hadnât expected was the conversation getting deep. âWhat do you want to do after school?â George suddenly asked her.Â
âShouldnât I be asking you that? I still have a year left to go, youâve got a couple of months.â Although Y/n knew it most likely would do with the business he, and his twin had now.Â
George shrugged. âJust trying to uncover the secrets of you. Youâre so mysterious, Y/n.âÂ
Y/n chuckled. âDo you want the real answer? Or the one I tell my parents to make them happy?âÂ
âWhat do you want to do?â George confirmed.Â
âIf it were up to me, Iâd be writing spell books, and creating spellsâ charms, if we want to get specific.â Y/n answered.Â
âWhat do you tell your parents?â He asked, the house elves were now clearing away their dishes.Â
âMy parents want me to get a Ministry job. Likely an unspeakable in the Department of Mysteries.â She shrugged, and muttered a small âthank youâ to the elf who took her plate. âIt doesnât sound all too bad, until you realise that you canât speak about your job to anyoneâ a secret! I want to be able to go home, and rant to my husband about my day, you know?â Y/n ranted. It was probably the longest response George had gotten out of her all night.Â
âYeah, I get it.â George nodded, he glanced towards the clock in the kitchens. âItâs getting pretty late. Do you want to head back to your dorm?â He asked.Â
Y/n thought for a moment, her dorm was empty. âSure.â Y/n grabbed his hand, and led him out of the kitchens, headed straight for Ravenclaw Tower.Â
They approached the grand wooden door with a bronze eagle on the front of it with a large knocker. As soon as they approached, the eye of the eagle glowed red. âA man in a carriage saw three doors, one bronze, one silver, and one gold. Which door did he open first?âÂ
Y/n had thought for a second, George was in awe, heâd hate to have to answer a conundrum every time heâd wished to get to his dorm. If it were him answering, he wouldâve said gold, because gold meant first, but he allowed Y/n to answer. After a couple more seconds she chuckled.Â
âThe man opened the carriage door first.â The Eagleâs eye dimmed, and the door opened. Y/n smiled proudly, she liked the daily challenge of the conundrum password.Â
Y/n walked into the common room entrance, George stayed back. âYou coming? My dorm mates are all at the party.â George wasted no time in following the girl. Heâd never been in the Ravenclaw common room, but it was huge. There were constellations plastered on the walls, and ceilings, telescopes on the balcony, it was a lot different than Gryfinndor tower. âIâll warn you now, itâs a ton of stairs.â She giggled.Â
Finally making it to her dorm, Y/n let him settle in, while she used the bathroom. She knew from the start she would not give him anything of herself. Especially on day one of ten.Â
George on the other hand was scrambling to take off his shirt once the bathroom door closed behind her back. Until he remembered, this was a one night stand like he was used to, his goal was to make her fall in love. He quickly put his shirt back on just in time for her arrival back into her dorm.Â
George was sitting at her desk, he knew it was hers because of the framed picture of her, and her family on the right corner of the wood. âSo, which oneâs yours?â he motioned to the beds with his head.Â
âThe bottom on the left.â Y/n sat on her desk next to him. The Ravenclaw dorms had bunk beds, Y/n wasnât too keen on climbing up and down a ladder in the morning, and nights.Â
George grabbed the framed picture on her desk. âThese are the parents that want you to work in the Ministry?â George asked in confirmation. Y/n nodded, leaning in a bit closer to look at the picture with him. âI think they donât have a single clue what theyâre talking about. I think youâd be an amazing Charms creator. I never in a million years wouldâve been able to answer that riddle that quickly.â He chuckled, making her laugh too.Â
âTrust me, it took a lot of time to be able to get it at that speed. One time in first year, I had to sleep outside of the common room, because Cho, and I couldnât figure out the riddle.â She laughed at the memory.Â
George laughed with his chest. âDid you really?âÂ
âWe did!â She laughed even harder. âWe slept in the hospital wing, thank goodness it was a weekend.â Y/n sighed as she, and George's laughter cooled down.Â
George put the picture frame down. The two sat in silence, before catching each otherâs gazes. Y/n wasnât sure what it was, but she had the strong urge to kiss the boy. It wasnât the alcohol acting as liquid courage, her drunk had been long gone, and sure, George Weasley wasnât the worst to look at.
She leaned in, and he did too, meeting her in the middle. They both tasted of alcohol, however Y/nâs fruity drink clashed with Georgeâs firewhisky. She hated firewhiskey, but itâd never tasted so good. Her arms went to his neck, and his hands to her waist. They pulled away to breath, and when Y/n leaned into him for more, he stopped her. âI think we should take this slow.â He whispered, surprising Y/n, but she obliged, not wanting to cross any boundaries.Â
âRightâŠâ Y/n said breathlessly. âSlow.â Theyâd stayed in their position, eyes still on one another's.Â
George wanted to make her fall in love, but he also wanted nothing more than to kiss her, heâd be lying if he said he wasnât heavily attracted to her. Who wouldnât be? He was kissing the untouchable of Hogwarts. Fuck it.Â
In an instant Georgeâs lips were on hers again. Y/n happily accepted the kiss, and even let him lift her up from the desk, she wrapped her legs around his waist, and he carried her to her bed. He broke the kiss only to let her down gently, before going back to kiss her again, theyâd kissed for another good minute before they needed air. George dipped back down for more once heâd caught his breath, but Y/n stopped him. âI think weâre going too fast, Weasley.â She whispered with a dopey grin on her face. âI donât want to be just another one of your girls.âÂ
George chuckled. âRight.â He slowly stood up from under her cramped bed. âI should probably get going. I suspect your dorm mates will be back soon.âÂ
âRight,â Y/n said, getting up. âIâll walk you down.âÂ
George denied. âWhoa, no.â He said. Youâre already here, why would I make you walk down, and up those stairs again twice?â He laughed.Â
âYouâre right.â She smiled, she hadnât even thought about the stairs. She opened her dorm door for him. âGood night, Weasley.âÂ
âGood night, darling.â He flirted, walking through the open door.Â
âOh, nick-names already?â She tilted her head as she leaned on her door, and door frame, her dorm door now only open just enough to see just her from the outside. âThatâs twice now.âÂ
âJust how I work.â George shrugged.Â
âSo you call all girls nicknames like that?â Y/n raised an eyebrow.Â
âNo.â George shook his head seriously. âJust the pretty Ravenclaw ones that want to be an author one day.âÂ
Y/n almost broke into a full fledged smile, as her cheeks burned. âGood night, George.â Sheâd managed to maintain herself.Â
â âNight, Y/n.â He said, almost walking away, but Y/n grabbed his hand, before using it as leverage to kiss his cheek.Â
Georgeâs own cheeks began to burn. He turned around taking his long flight down the stairs. When he got to the bottom of the spiral staircase, he noticed Y/nâs head peeping down at him from the top. He looked up, and waved before whispering to himself under his breath. âOh god, youâre in love with me already.Â
Little did he know, she was muttering things to herself too. âIâm going to make you wish you were dead.â She muttered, waving too before blowing a kiss down the staircase.Â
Day 2 âSo you guys didnâtâ?â Y/n cut Maria off, as she stabbed a strawberry on her plate.
âNo! We didn't. You know me, I am not an easy girl.â Y/n scoffed, shoving the fruit in her mouth. âBesides, this is just to prove a point.âÂ
âI think thereâs a part of you that actually likes him.â Pamela teased. âI mean, you didnât fuck, but you did make out. Which in my books is so much more intimate than sex.âÂ
âPamela!â Y/n exclaimed, before whispering. âYou are so loud!âÂ
âItâs alright Y/n, donât get your wand in a knot. Itâs not like the whole party didnât see the two of you leaving the party last night.â Cho joined in on the teasing.Â
Y/n was about to open her mouth to say something in her defense, when a group of twelve first-years approached her, all with their hands behind their backs. Y/n was stunned. âIâm sorry, can I help you?â She asked in her nicest voice, as they all stared at her.Â
One by one, each first-year gave her a red rose, garnering the attention of the students of Ravenclaw table and others. The twelfth first-year had the biggest rose, and a message. âFrom Mr. George Weasley, Miss!â He quickly said, before running off with the other first-years.Â
âAnd you said he was going to leave you inâŠhow many days?â Maria teased.Â
Y/n could feel her face getting hot. âShut it.â She got up, determined to give George the biggest turn off of his life, she was finished with her breakfast anyways. She walked up to him, and made her voice a bit higher than usual. âOh!â She dramatically exclaimed as she walked up behind him. âGeorgie-bear! That was so sweet of you! How romantic.âÂ
Georgeâs eyes furrowed at her change in demeanor from last night, but caught one glimpse of Fredâs gaze before pushing down his suspicion. âOf course, a dozen roses is a sign of love. To show youâre not just another one of âmy girlsââÂ
The use of the word Love scared Y/n, so much so that she almost broke character. But she continued. âWell, arenât you just the sweetest?â She pinched his cheek, and kissed the other, before going back to her friends. Angelina could see right through her, it was obvious Y/n was going an overly clingy, sweet girlfriend route to drive George away.Â
âWell arenât you just the sweetest?â Fred teased his little brother, and looked at his friends, before they all completed the sentence.Â
âGeorgie-bear!â Fred, Ron, Ginny, Harry, and Lee said together, making George roll his eyes.Â
âHave the same energy when I win.â George warned his brother.Â
âWin, win what?â Angelina asked.Â
âFreddie here has bet that I canât make a girl fall in love with me in ten days.â George informed her. Angelinaâs jaw almost dropped at the coincidence.Â
âYouâre going to break her heart.â Angelina shook her head and looked down at her breakfast. While Y/n was essentially also using George, it wasnât half as bad as making someone fall in love with her.Â
Day 4
Y/n was surprised that George still hung around her. She had done numerous things to drive him away, she had acted super clingy, and then super distant, sheâd even dragged him away from a prank he and Fred were doing to study with her in the library. Of course George had to oblige because his goal was to have her fall in love with him.Â
âHow much longer are we going to be here for?â George complained for the second time in the hour.Â
âWeâve only been here for an hour, George.â One thing George really admired about Y/n, was her determination to telling he, and his brother apart. Sheâd been pretty good at it so far.Â
âAn hour too long.â He groaned, putting his head down on the table.Â
Y/n groaned too. âFine then!â She wasnât actually angry, but she was actually trying to drive him away. âJust leave, since you want to go so bad.âÂ
âWhat?â Georgeâs head shot up. âWho said Iâm leaving?âÂ
âYou. If you donât want to spend time with me, thatâs fine!â She whispered as they were in the library.Â
âNo, no.â George grabbed her hands. âI want to spend all of my time with you. Even if it is in the most boring place at Hogwarts. Okay? Keep studying, Iâll stay quiet. I promisedâ He promised, hugging onto her waist.Â
Y/n gulped. She thought for surely he wouldâve walked off, and they could call it quits. âOkay.â She whispered, going back to her book.Â
Day 5 Y/n had been doing everything in her power to drive George away, and heâd been doing everything in his power to make her fall for him. It was Tuesday after classes, and George invited Y/n to the Gryffindor common room.
The common room was much different from when there were parties. It was cozier, and it looked nice when there weren't so many people crowded around. George led Y/n to the couches, where his twin brother, little brother, little sister, Harry, and Hermione sat.Â
They seemed to be in an intense card game, however it wasnât like any card game Y/n had seen before. âHello.â She greeted timidly, it was intimidating being surrounded by people sheâd never spoken to before.
George grabbed her shoulders. âYou all know my girlfriend, Y/n. Y/n, Ginny, Ron, Fred, Hermione, and Harry.â He pointed them all out.Ginny turned around, and waved with a smile, and the others gave a nod or a wave. Y/n was stuck on the fact that George had just referred to her as his girlfriend. âAre you guys playing bluff?â Harry nodded. âI want in.âÂ
âNext round!â Harry exclaimed. âIâm about to win.â It was his turn as well. âIâve got two jacks.â Harry announced, putting his last two cards down.Â
Ginnyâs eyebrows furrowed, two jacks wouldâve been impossible, she had three. âBluff!â She shouted.Â
âDamn.â Harry said, grabbing the cards in the middle.Â
âYou catching on?â George asked, pulling her to sit in front of the fire with them.Â
âI think so.â Y/n nodded.Â
âItâs all aboutâŠreading people.â George told her, as they sat down.Â
After a couple of rounds, of just spectating, Y/n finally took up the offer of being in one game. âGeorgieâs got the family record!â Ginny excitedly told Y/n, who was to her right. âYou should see it when itâs the whole family playing, itâs vicious.â Ginny talked as Fred finished dealing the cards.Â
âAlright, Newbies first.â Fred said, looking at Y/n. George jokingly tried to peep at her cards, making Y/n push him back before deciding to play it safe. She took her ace of diamonds.Â
âIâve got one ace.â She announced.Â
As the game progressed Y/n had come to find that she had been really good at bluffingâŠor really good at cheating. Y/n had the least amount of cards right now, George with the most. Ginny snickered. âI think this is the worst Iâve seen George lose at bluff.â She laughed as George thought about his move.Â
âIâve got three kings.â George said, putting his three cards face down in the pile. Y/n looked at her hand, she had one king, which made Georgeâs move possible, but then she caught Ronâs eye after heâd furrowed his eyebrows, he shook his head at her.Â
âBluff.â Y/n called instantly.Â
âLift those cards up, Georgie.â Fred suppressed a smile.Â
George lifted his three cards, it was two kings, and one joker. He rolled his eyes, and picked up the cards in the middle before adding it to his own growing deck. He then suddenly turned to Y/n, and wrapped an arm around her neck. âYouâre doing something. I know it.â He pulled her into him, making her laugh.Â
âYouâre mad Iâm better at this game than you are.â She pushed him off of her jokingly. âYou see⊠itâs all aboutâŠreading, people.â She mocked his words.Â
In the next round, George put down four cards. âI have four queens.â Y/n looked at the others, some were shaking their heads, and some were nodding.Â
âBluff..?â Y/n said, but she sounded like she was unsure. It was only then that George had caught on to their work against him.Â
He gasped. âYouâŠcheaters! All of you. My own blood! My own family! And you!â He pointed to Y/n dramatically.  âYouâre supposed to help me! Not them!â It was obvious that his dramatics was to make the people around him laugh, and he did.Â
Y/n laughed with his family. A part of her felt like she didnât want to drive him away anymore.Â
Day 7 By day seven her feelings had only grown worse. Sheâd fallen for George Weasley, but she couldnât admit that, however in potions, she had been partnered up with Angelina, they were both in the same N.E.W.T.S class. Angelina had a knack for making people speak about their feelings, she was a good therapist. âI donât know Angie.â Y/n shrugged as she stirred her cauldron. âHeâs not too bad, everything I do, itâs likeâ he wonât leave me alone, andâ I think Iâm starting to really like him.âÂ
Now Angelina felt bad. âY/n Iâd be a bad friend if I didnât tell you this.âÂ
âWhat?â Y/n asked, brows furrowing together. âWhatâs wrong?âÂ
Angelina sighed. âThe night us girls made the bet, the twins made a bet too.â
Y/nâs shoulders dropped. âWhatâŠwhat was the bet?âÂ
âThe boyâs bet that George couldnât make a girl fall in love with him in ten days.â Angelina told her, making Y/nâs heart drop, that was much worse than trying to drive the boy away.Â
âOh.â Y/n said. Suddenly she didnât want to speak anymore.Â
George was in a similar situation. He almost couldnât believe his ears when he heard the voices of Y/nâs dorm mates. âDo you think Weasleyâs going to leave her soon?â Pamela asked Maria.Â
âI donât know, but she better think of something quick.â Maria snickered. âSheâs got three more days to lose a guy in ten days.âÂ
After Potions, Y/n found George waiting outside of her class. They stayed in the corridor until it was empty. âLose a guy in ten days?â He questioned, and Y/nâs heart sank even further. âSo thatâs what I was. A guinea pig, something to test your theories on.â He seemed genuinely hurt, but Y/n was hurt too.Â
âRight, and I was a girl that was picked out at a party, just another one of your girls.â She scoffed.Â
âYou arenât justâ you know what, Y/n. You did your job.â George sighed.Â
âYes, I did.â Y/n stood her ground.Â
âYou wanted to lose a guy in ten days, well you just, did.â George turned around to walk away, but Y/n wanted to get her last word in.Â
âNo I didnât, George.â She said, making him turn around. âYou canât lose something you never had.â She turned around, and began to walk towards the Ravenclaw tower. The moment she turned her back she let the tears fall.Â
When she got to her dorm, thank goodness only Cho was in there. âY/nââ Cho took in her state. âY/nâŠwhat happened?âÂ
âEverything was fake, all of it.â Y/n hugged her friend. âJust when I was starting to actually like him.â She laughed sarcastically through her tears. âI hate boys.âÂ
Cho had a bright idea. âWrite to your mother. Tell her everything. I promise itâll help to write it out. And I know how much you love to write.âÂ
Y/n sniffled, it didnât sound like a bad idea. Y/n stood up grabbing a piece of parchment and a quill. She wrote to her mother, and told her everything, start to end. Of course excluding the partying, and drinking.Â
She folded up the paper, and stuffed it in her bag. Cho gave her space, so she was alone in the dorm. Y/n splashed her face with water, and made her way to the Owlery.Â
She was walking pretty fast, she wanted to be back in her dorm as soon as possible. Of course in her flurry she bumped into someone. She looked up âI'm sorryââ She had to do a double take. Of course. âFred.âÂ
âY/n, hey about the partyââ Fred noticed how much George genuinely liked Y/n.Â
âYou know what, I really need to get going. But weâre all good. No problems here.â She rambled before turning her heel, and dashing to the Owlery. So fast she hadnât noticed the slip of parchment that flew out of her bag. The wind was so intense that it was left open.Â
Fred grabbed the letter, thinking it was just a piece of parchment he could throw away. He skimmed through the letter. He couldnât have been more wrong.Â
âGeorge! Georgie!â He exclaimed running from the portrait hole, and into the couches, where he sat spending time with Ginny, who was also upset that he, and Y/n broke up.
âGeorge, you've got to see this.â Fred said out of breath.Â
George skimmed through the paper. âWhere did you get this?â He whispered.Â
âFell out of her bag. What are you doing? Go find her!â Fred encouraged his brother who was frozen in place.Â
George seemed to snap back. âRight! Where was she headed?â George asked.Â
âTowards the Owlery.â Fred said, as George ran out of the common room.Â
âDo you think sheâs going to take him back? You two are gits.â Ginny asked.Â
âYou shouldâve seen that letter.â Fred raised his eyebrows with a shrug.
When Y/n got to the Owlery, and her letter was nowhere to be found, she panicked. If someone found the letter just out, and about she would be embarrassed for her entire life. The whole letter was pretty much Y/n explaining to her mother how sheâd driven away the only boy sheâd ever loved.Â
She ran down the steps of the Owlery, and back into the castle. She retraced her steps but paused when she saw George Weasley down the hall, holding her letter. She approached him quickly. âHow did you get thatâ?âÂ
âIs it true?â George asked.Â
âWhat?â Y/n breathed out. âGeorgeââÂ
âIs it true, or were you just writing empty words?â George asked again.Â
Y/n rolled her eyes to prevent the tears from falling. âI meant every word.â She admitted.Â
George walked up to her, and pulled her by the nape of her neck for a kiss. She happily accepted. âYou were never just another girl.â He whispered. She smiled, and looked up at him.Â
âI guess I canât lose a guy in ten days.âÂ

Princess
Summary: Luke never would have thought he'd ever have eyes for the daughter of Hades and Persephone.
Warnings!: Fem! Hades & Persephone reader, because Hades cabin doesn't exist yet, she's a minor god, so she stays in whatever cabin she pleases until the time of Nico Di Angelo. Timing is placed before tlt . She has pyro kenesis basically fire control. I've changed somethings, she's not considered a forbidden child because she's born from two gods, not a god and a human. This isn't canon obvi i made it up to fit the story.
Whenever Luke was called to the big house, he knew he was never in trouble. It was always to show around and be informed of a new arrival. But this time when he got to Chiron and Mr. D they seemed a little bit more..serious about this new camper.
"Ah Luke, come sit with us." Chiron beckoned him to sit with him and Mr. D while they were playing cards. This was already out of the ordinary, usually when there was a new camper, he would get a brief run down of who they were and when they were coming, and he would be sent back on his merry little way. He slowly pulled out the chair and sat. "We have a new camper coming tomorrow."
Okay nothing new, "That's great, I'll be showing them around tomorrow?" He asks knowing the answer is yes.
"Yes, but there are some things you need to know before her arrival." Chiron answers. Great, so the new camper is a girl.
"This girl.." Chiron continues. Luke waited. He was so curious. Was she a forbidden child? Was she a crazy psycho? "She's the daughter of Hades, and Persephone." That answered all of Luke's questions.
The Princess of the Underworld would be coming to Camp Half-Blood, and he needed to escort her around.
"She'll arrive tomorrow early in the morning, be ready kid. O' eight hundred. " Dionysus continued.
"You are dismissed." Chiron says not once looking up from his intense game or cards with Mr. D. Whelp, this was gonna be very interesting for Luke.
Luke woke up the next morning at around 7 am. Perfect amount of time to get ready and to eat something before showing the new camper around. It had occurred to Luke that he didn't know her name. Chiron hadn't told him. By the time he was done getting ready and had a bite to eat, it was about 7:50. Perfect timing.
He made it to the borders of camp to wait for the girl. Nonethe less when the clock struck 8:00am and all of the campers started to ride due to the morning conch. A big pink flame of fire emerged from the ground. It startled Luke, but as the flame started to go away, the silhouette of a girl peaked through. She was facing the other way looking around. And when she turned around..
Oh boy.
Luke fell hard. His palms were starting to sweat, he felt his heart thumping. Of course he had always heard the myths and the stories about the Princess of the underworld. In almost all of them they had all mentioned her beauty. And boy were those words true.
"Are you the boy that's showing me around? Father said that I would have an escort?" She said. Her voice was like the calm after a storm. Luke didn't answer. "Uhm? Sir?" She questioned.
"Oh! Uhm yes! that's me. Uh I'm Luke." He managed to get out while offering his hand to her.
She took it, boy her hands were soft like feathers. "I'm Y/n, it's nice to meet you, but can we get going? It's quite hot today." She said
Without thinking Luke says "You'd think you'd be used to the heat, being from the underworld and all." Luke's eyes widen when he realized what he said.
He looked her in the eyes and at first he thought he fucked up. She had a deadpan on her face. But when they stared at each other for a bit she started to crack, and she let out the most beautiful laugh Luke had ever heard.
"Well, let's get going Luke, we wouldn't wanna burn out here," She said with a little giggle sending a small amber his way.
He was in awe. She had fire powers, just like the stories said.
After a while. The pair got close. They were friends...that's if you still count them as your friends even though you're constantly flirting all of the time.
And that was the dynamic between the two. They were always bickering or flirting, or both at the same time. Luke knew from the moment he saw her he was doomed. He had never felt this way about anyone before. Every camper saw it, Luke looked at Y/n like she hung the stars in the sky, and honestly if you told Luke she did, he would believe you.
After a while the two had even received a name, the princess and her guardian. Because wherever Y/n was Luke wasn't too far by lingering around her, always keeping an eye on her.
They never admitted they're feelings for each other however. Not until the incident about a year after Y/n's first summer at camp.
"Oh come on Y/n, why don't you ditch that loser Luke and be with me." Ben from Aphrodite cabin said to her as she sat by herself with her lunch waiting for Luke.
"Excuse me?" She said with offence. Luke for one was NOT a loser, okay maybe he was just a bit but still. That was rude, and Y/n didn't like rude people.
"You heard me doll." He said with a smug smirk. Gross, that nick name did not come out as good as he thought it did.
"Leave me alone please, now you're just being ridiculous." She stated. Y/n was very open with her boundaries and did not like it when they were crossed.
"Oh come on, you know you want to." This guy just couldn't take the hint.
"She said leave dude." Luke stated from behind you. You looked back and smiled mouthing "Thank you."
"Well well, the loser himself. Y/n deserves a real man, after all, she is a princess." He said in a snarky tone.
"Dude seriously just back off." Luke said stepping up chest to chest with him now. Y/n stood now, she didn't like conflict, and she definitely did not want to be the reason why it started.
"Come on Luke, let's just go." She said trying to tug him away. Luke looked at her then back at the smug boy. Luke huffed and turned around.
"Yeah go ahead and go cry to your daddy! Oh wait..." Ben shouted as they walked away. This time Luke wasn't the only one that was fighting now. Y/n knew all about Hermes and how he treated Luke. Now this made her angry.
"What did you say?" Y/n said as she turned around.
"You heard me clear and-" He stopped talking as he took in Y/n's state. Her eyes burned with fire. Her fists ready with flames.
"Can you repeat yourself?" She said coming closer to him.
Ben started to panic. "Help!" He yelled, as if everyone eyes weren't on them the second Y/n turned around. "This girl is crazy!" He cried.
Y/n fake lunged forward toward him which scared him endlessly making him run off to cry to mommy. Of course Y/n wasn't going to actually hurt him. Just scare him a bit so he wouldn't mess with her and Luke.
Now that Ben was away, so was the crowd. Nothing to watch anymore so everyone went about their day. Now it was just her and Luke.
She calmed and so did her fire. She turned to see Luke staring at her with more twinkle in his eyes than usual.
"Yes?" She asked.
"I'm in love with you." Luke said.
"What?"
"I love-" Luke was cut off with a pair of lips colliding with his. It was everything Luke thought it would be. Her lips were soft, just like he imagined. He always thought he would kiss her first though. I guess some things can't be predicted.
"I love you too Luke Castellan." She said after they pulled apart.
The two stared at each other with their rosy cheeks and they're foreheads pushed together.
Luke never would have thought in a million years that he would be with the Princess of the Underworld, there's a first to everything though.
A/n: I've been having writers block recently. I literally don't know what to write, so if you have an requests, they're open on my acct!!
Sweetheart
Summary: Luke Castellan pulls the camp sweetheart and no one knows how he managed to snag her after everyone else's attempts had failed.
Warnings!: Fem! Reader, claimed but not specific, Counselor! reader just really cute fluff lwk. :3
Y/n L/n was nobodies enemy at Camp Half-Blood. Everyone at half camp half-blood had come to the consensus that they all just loved Y/n. Even Mr. D admits that her smile could warm an old sad man's heart.
So obviously by default every boy was swooning for her and every girl admired her. Only one little problem. In all of her years at camp, (She was a full rounder). No one had ever managed to take her off the market. Not even a fling. Y/n had always just ridden solo and she was completely content with that.
Until one winter everything changed.
You see, Y/n had never really planned on dating Luke, but how could she refuse? He was Tall, Handsome, and really sweet. And he was the complete opposite of Y/n. Y/n always believed opposites attract.
"Go on a date with me? Just one, I promise I'll make it worth your while." Luke promised as he peered down at you.
"Hmm, okay." Y/n responded.
"Really?" Luke said. Luke had heard about the rumors of Y/n's dating life obviously. Who hadn't?
"No, not really." Y/n said in a sarcastic tone. "Of course really, just let me know when." She said as she picked up her training bag to go back to her cabin, before she could go, she tiptoed up to Luke and planted a kiss on his cheek.
She didn't turn around to see Luke's madly red face, and he's happy she didn't.
So when everyone came back for the summer, news spread like wild fire. Camp Half-Blood's Sweetheart was off of the market, taken by none other than Luke Castellan.
At first people didn't really realize until about three days into the summer. They started to notice that Hermes cabin was somehow always on schedule with Y/n's cabin.
Then the campers noticed the two counselors were closer, a lot closer. Some would even say they were on the cusp of borderline PDA.
Then everyone noticed how Y/n and Luke were sitting together at every meal, every meal!
Luke and Y/n liked playing games with everyone, so when people got bold enough to ask one of them "Are you guys together?" They would both have the same answer.
"No, we're just really close friends." They would both answer with a smile, when in reality they had been together officially for about 2 months.
Of course, everyone knew that they were together, even though they didn't say it. Everyone knew. He was hers and she was his. If she called, he would answer. That's just the way it was.
Eventually everyone got over the fact that they're beloved Sweetheart had been swooped by Luke Castellan because well. They were meant for each other.
Forbidden Fruit pt. 2
Summary: Luke asks for the help of some special people in Y/n's life to help plan her perfect ideal date.
Warnings: Fluff, ermm not much I don't think, jut a finisher of the date. Not proof read! Fem! Dionysus! Reader,
A/n: Someone asked for a pt 2, so here we are. - Leafy
Okay, Luke had until 7:00 pm to plan something anything for his date with Y/n. It was about 3:00 O'clock, "4 hours" Luke thought to himself. What better plan is there other than to go to Silena Beuregard? Because not only was she Y/n's best friend, she was also in Cabin 10, so she should be like, a professional? Right?
Luke seemed like an idiot. He really had to go to someone one else to plan a date for Y/n. He just wanted everything to be perfect. Nothing could go wrong, he wanted everything to be perfect, just like Y/n.
So here Luke was, standing in front of Aphrodite Cabin. He knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" he heard a voice ring from the inside. It was most definitely Silena. He and her have only interacted a couple times, mainly only talking about Y/n.
"It's Luke, I wanted to ask a favor Silena." He semi shouted so he can be heard from the inside. She opened the door and peaked her head out.
"What type of favor?" She asked suspiciously.
"I'm taking Y/n on a date later at 7:00 and I have no, idea what I should do, and since you're her best friend I was thinking that maybe you coul-" Silena cut him off with a shriek.
"Yes! Finally!!" She exclaimed. "I'll SO help you, I've got so many ideas" She said excitedly as she pulled him into the cabin.
After about 2 hours Silena and Luke cooked up the best date ever, and set it up in your favorite place at camp. As they were walking back to the cabins Luke thanked Silena, all she said was.
"Listen Luke, we've been waiting for you to ask Y/n out for ages. Literally everyone at camp was rooting for you. So trust me, I've been waiting to do this. Now leave because I guarantee Y/n is going to pop up out of no where to get ready so. Go put on your best outfit." Silena ranted
"Will do." Luke said trying to act his coolest when really he was so nervous.
Silena was right.
Y/n had come banging on Cabin 10's door at around 5:30 ish, her make up was already done. Y/n only did makeup on special occasions. This was a really special occasion. "Silena!! Siliena open up! I know you're in there!" she shouted.
"Jeez woman give me a minute, its only been about 0.5 seconds since your first knock" Silena joked.
"Help me pick a dress, I've got a date with Luke, and I don't know what to wear." Y/n said as she dropped all 6 of her dress options and sighed lying on Silena's bunk.
"Alright, you already know what time it is." Silena said with anticipation. "Fashion show!!!" She said. "Come on let me see option one."
The first 5 options were not doing it for Y/n. Either is was too short, the color wasn't right, nothing felt right on her. Until the very last dress. This was the dress. It fit perfectly in all of the right places, flowed to just above her knees, just how she liked it. And the color was a beautiful stunning white, with little pink flowers printing the fabric. The straight lining on her bust was adorned with a beautiful sheer lace.
"Now that one, that's the one" Silene said. "I think so too." Y/n said. It was now about 6:50 "Shoot! I need to get back to my cabin it's about to be 7:00!" Y/n said scrambling to pick up the other 5 dresses she had. "Thank you Silena!" she hugged and kissed her cheek "I love you lots, owe you big time!" As she rushed out of the door.
Y/n had made it to her cabin, thank the gods without seeing Luke. She wanted to be surprised and vice versa.
"Why are you all dressed up?" One of your brothers asked you. Being a child on Dionysus had its perks, it was only you, and your two older brothers.
"None of your business." Y/n stated, she really did not want to be embarrassed by her older brothers.
"You're going on a date aren't you?" You're other brother pressed. "With who?" he asked strangely calmly. There was no hiding from your brothers.
"Luke from cabin 11.." you muttered.
"LUKE? LIKE HERMES LUKE?" There was an uproar of both of them discussing ways to scare him away. Y/n was going to put an end to it when there was a knock at the door. The three of them looked at each other, then at the door. Y/n was the first to move, and made it to the door before her brothers could. They may be fast. But she was faster. She creeped the door open awkwardly.
There Luke was, Looking nervous as ever, holding a bouquet of Y/n's favorite flowers, in his nicest outfit possible, which so happened to align with Y/n's color scheme.
"Hey Luke! " She looked up at him. She thought Luke looked like the most handsome guy on Earth. "You look.." She was cut off
"Y/n you better tell him you're not going on that date!" You're brother screamed. Y/n looked continued staring at Luke.
"Give me one second" Y/n said. Luke couldn't really make out what she was yelling about, something about how she was growing up already and she wasn't a little girl now, plus something about how Mr. D already approved. Suddenly it was quite
The door opened again and Luke straightened up. Now all three of the siblings came out with Y/n leading them. "Uhm..My brothers wanted to meet you before we left, I'm sure you talked to them before" She said.
"Yeah, uhm Hi. I'm here to take Y/n on a date." Luke stated the obvious.
"Yeah, we know." The two brothers were now towering Luke, Luke was about the same height as both of them but there was two of them and one of him. "Just have her back by 11. And I swear to the gods Castellan. If you do anything that hurts her in the tiniest-" He was cut off.
"Okay! Well me and Luke have to get going." Y/n said as she clapped her hands. She said goodbye to her older brothers with a hug and grabbed Luke's hand to walk as fast as she could away from her crazy over protective family.
As soon as they got as far away as they could Y/n apologized. "I'm sorry for the way that they acted, my whole family is just really over protective." She said.
"It's okay, I mean I get it, you're so beautiful they're probably fighting off boys left and right." Luke joked. "Oh, uhm.. these are for you." He said holding up the freshly made bouquet. "And, you look gorgeous tonight, I mean not that you don't always look gorgeous but I-"
"I love it Luke, thank you. You don't look too bad yourself. " Y/n said cutting off his ramble. "So, what do you have in store for me Luke."
"Do you trust me?" He said holding up a blindfold. If Y/n was being honest, she was a bit nervous. But she answered without a beat.
"Yes," and so Luke tied the blind fold on her, not too tight, but just enough to stay. He led Y/n with his hands. They definitely were no where near the cabins now.
Y/n knew where they were the second she felt the pebbly floor beneath her shoes, and heard the waves of the shore. They were on the Lake's Beachside, her favorite spot on camp.
"Are you ready?" Luke said. Y/n silently nodded. As he took off the blindfold, careful not to ruin her hair or makeup. she gasped.
"Luke.." her voice was just above a whisper. "This is.." Luke was extra nervous now. "This is so amazing." She turned around and jumped in his arms. "Thank you!"
"Of course, anything for you." he said as he gripped her waist.
The sun was setting perfectly, and the picnic looked so beautiful. The blanket that was lied out had all of Y/n and Luke's favorites. everything was perfect, they laughed and talked. They lied and cuddled together. As they sat with their heads watched the sunset Luke turned to Y/n she looked so perfect with her e/c eyes shining in the sun. She was just glowing. "Y/n, can I ask you something?"
"Yeah'?" She answered and turned to him.
"Can I be your boyfriend?" He asked as he stared into her eyes.
She smiled and started nodding "Yes"
"I have another question."
"Yeah?'
"Can I kiss you?"
Luke didn't have to do anything before Y/n's lips were on his the force of her kiss bringing them both down to lay on the blanket. Luke braced them for the impact and his hands instinctively went to her waist to stable her on top of him. They kissed until they were breathless.
As they pulled apart breathing heavily, foreheads still together. They looked at each other and laughed.
Y/n and Luke could most definitely get used to this

Forbidden Fruit
Summary: Luke has taken a liking to a certain Dionysus girl that he just can't have, but maybe he can change that.
Warnings!: Super fluffy Over protective father, Fem!Dionysus! Reader, happy ending! Pushing loser!Luke agenda...

Luke watched as you sat at the Dionysus table with your twin brothers and Mr. D. You were so beautiful, the way your hair fell back as you were laughing at something one of your older brothers said.
"Dude, if you want her so bad, then just. I don't know? Talk to her maybe? You look like a creep just staring at her all of the time." Chris said as he flung a piece of broccoli towards Luke.
"Dude! You know I can't that's Mr. D's only daughter, plus she's got two big line backer brothers that'll probably beat me to pulp if I ever did try anything." Luke sighed, looking back at his plate pushing his food around hopelessly.
"Or...maybe, you can just ask Mr. D if you could have her hand?" Chris had suggested. "Besides, the worse he can say is no...and maybe give you bathroom cleaning duty." Chris said.
"Yeah right. He'd probably give me worse." Luke joked. Chris laughed. As he looked back up to look at you again, just to admire you, you were already staring at him. You guys had made eye contact for about .2 seconds before you had already turned back down to your food.
Maybe he had a chance....
"No. Absolutely not." Mr. D said to a very sad Luke now.
"But come on Mr. D, what harm is one date, I'll treat her really well." Luke pleaded with the god, after all, gods love the sound of begging.
"How about-" Mr. D was cut off by a voice Luke knew all to well,
"Hey daddy? Oh." Y/n had stopped at the entry way of Mr. D's office. "Hey Luke," She said timidly, with a slight blush tinting her cheeks.
"Hi Y/n." Luke said with a shy smile.
"No! No! Absolutely not. Luke, I do not give you permission to date or take out, or do anything at all with my daughter.
"But sir-" Luke was cut off, Y/n really had a tendency to cutting people off, it wasn't like it was on purpose.
"But daddy! Why not! Luke's a sweet guy, I've been waiting for him to ask me out for months!" Y/n whined to her dad. She was the baby of her family, and it showed, but what she said about Luke asking her out caught Luke off guard. Had she known about him liking her all of this time? The answer was yes, although Luke was very charming, he wasn't very slick about his feelings of Y/n.
"Sweetheart, please, no boy will ever be good enough for my daughter, and he sure isn't going to be good enough for you but I love the enthusiasm." Mr. D sarcastically remarked.
"Daddy pleaseeee, just give him a chance? For me? I really like him." Y/n pouted and gave her father the best puppy eyes she could. Luke didn't dare to say a word. This was a family discussion. The two stared at each other, almost like a staring contest. Luke could see it in Mr. D's eyes, he was cracking to his daughters pleas. Mr. D let out a sigh.
"Fine!" Mr. D exclaimed. "You two can...date." He said enunciating the word "date" with malicious diction. Y/n exclaimed clapping her hands
"Thank you daddy!" She said as she hugged him and gave him a big smooch on the cheek.
"Thank you sir I-" Luke was cut off again. What is up with these two and cutting people off?
"Yeah Yeah whatever. But I swear to my chair on Olympus, if i hear a little sliver of news that you hurt my babygirl, I can't do anything to you, but her older brothers can." Mr. D reminded Luke.
"Yes sir I," He looked at Y/n who was now beside him and interlocked his hand with hers. She smiled at him. "I won't ever hurt her" Luke stated with confidence.
"Okay, you have my blessing..to take out my daughter." Mr. D reluctantly agreed. The two teenagers with both smiling madly now. "Now get out of here before I change my mind!" He yelled.
"Wait Daddy before I go" Y/n looked her dad in her eyes. "Can you summon me a diet coke? That's what I came here for" She said giggling. Mr. D sighed as a diet coke can popped up in his hands. He handed it to her and gave her a kiss on the forehead. After all, he could never say no to his baby girl.
As the couple walked out of The Big House hand in hand, Y/n came to a stop once they got far enough from the listening ears of her father. "So, what's this talk about this date you want to take me on?" Y/n asks Luke. "Well, I didn't really think I would actually get to his point..." Luke admits.
"Well then, pick me up from my Cabin at 7:00 and have something planned. I'll be waiting." Y/n said as she let go of his hand, and tip toed to kiss his cheek, specifically on his scar. "I'll see you then" She giggled after she saw Luke's state.
He was completely red in the face, and shocked. Y/n just shook her head side to side as she walked away. Luke watched her walk away with a hand on the place where she had so gently kissed him. Boy he really hated to see her leave, but he loved to watch her go. This woman is really going to be the death of me...He thought as he watched her figure get smaller, and smaller. Well, he better get to planning.
Apolloâs Favorite (Luke Catellan X Reader)
Summary: Reader gets called upon a quest from her father, a quest where she is destined to never return. Very much similar to Yue in Avatar the last air bender
Warnings!: angsty ish. Fem!Apollo!reader. No happy ending sorta? Erm not proof readđđ
Percy had just gotten to Camp yesterday. Poor boy, just lost his mother, put into a camp with a bunch of strangers. Percy was rethinking all of his lifeâs choices when he finally snapped out of it and realised it was all real. He was here, with the counselor of Hermes cabin learning the âIns and the Outsâ at camp.
As they walked they walked around the U shaped cabins they passed Cabin 7. Percy was very attentive and noticed how beautiful the cabin shined. How the sun reflected off of the carefully, crafted pillars of the building. As he admired the cabin..which was way better than Hermes Cabin. He read the plaque just above the doors of the cabin and he noticed a wooden bow and arrow with intricate gold detailing just above the door of the cabin and under the plaque.
âIn Great Thanks to Y/n L/nâŠâ Percy read in his head of off plaque. âHey Luke?â Percy turned to his left,
âYeah?â Luke answered
âWhoâs Y/n L/n, sounds like sheâs got a whole bunch of glory.â Percy joked
Luke thought to himself, he looked like he was reminiscing. This alarmed Percy, maybe he hit a soft spot and he didnât know?
âYeah she has a lot of glory. Sheâs known as Apolloâs Favoriteâ
- Last Year Around the Summer Solstice-
I was shooting arrows at the shooting range when Chiron aproached me. My bow and arrow was my most prized possession, a gift, from my father. Being Apolloâs favorite was, pressuring and nerve racking. The Gods were very bipolar, it couldâve changed in an instant. If you keep trying to understand why the Gods are the way that they are, youâll drive yourself crazy.
âThey are ready for you to choose.â Chiron continued âFollow meâ he gestured and he started walking.
I wordlessly followed. I didnât know who to choose. I knew one thing though, I wasnât choosing him. I was terrified. The Oracle is always confusing, but this one was very crystal clear.
âOne soul is destined to never return back to the place they once called homeâ
Everyone that attended Camp Half-Blood knew it as home. Somewhere they could belong. One of the three of us is not making it back.
As we got closer to the circle of the camps best, my stomach was churning the words of the Oracle repeating in my head. How would Luke react when I donât pick him? We go on each others quest all the time. But this one, I just. I donât think I could live if Luke is the one who didnât return.
I stood there before all of them. I pointed at an Ares girl, Clarisse, I think. Sheâs a fierce fighter. âYouâŠ.and..â I hesitated. I looked at Luke, he was looking straight back at me. âYou.â I pointed to one of my half brothers that was right next to him. The look of betrayal showed on his face.
âVery wellâ Chiron announced. âPack everything you will need. Your journey will begin Tomorrow morning, and your deadline is, The Summer Solstice.â
I watched as everyone walked away, everyone but Luke of course. I tried to start walking away before he could say anything to me.
I started but he followed â What the hell was that?â He asked, he sounded furious.
âWhat do you mean Castellan?â I always called him by his last name.
âYou know what I mean L/nâ And he called me by mines.
âBecause you donât understand whatâs at stake here. This quest changes everything.â I said.
âSo why didnât you choose me. We always go on eachothers quest.â He questioned.
âIt doesnât matter. I need to pack my-â I started walked as fast as I could now. He cut my words off.
âWhatâs going on L/n?? What the the hell did the Oracle say to you. I donât understand why you didnât choose meâ
At this point I was fed up. It was too much. One of us is going to die. It could be me, or it could be one of the other two.
âBECAUSE ONE OF US ISNâT GOING TO MAKE IT BACK.â I finally shouted. I could never keep anything away from Luke Castellan.
âWha-what?â He stammered.
âOne of us, isnât. Going. To make it. The Oracle said to me. âOne soul is destined to never return back to the place they once called homeâ Donât you get it?? One of us isnât coming back. And Iâm not going to let you onto this quest because I donât know what I would do if you died because of me.â I finally let out with a sigh. âNow please, I need to pack.â I left him there. He didnât say anything as I walked away.
I finally made it back to cabin 7. What if I was the one that would die? Iâve never been scared of death. I always sort of knew my father was going to give me a choice of something being his favorite and all. I never even desired glory. I just wanted to be a kid.
Everyone else was at the archery range or doing other camp activities, so the cabin was empty when I arrived. I started to pack my things. Some clothes, some medicines I had made, and other needs. Finally I looked at my bunk. Above my pillow hung my bow and arrows. Of course I was taking my bow and arrow. I carefully took it off the holder on the wall and placed it on my bag. The mist will cover it once we are in the regular world.
I was almost done when I heard a knock. I knew who it was. If it was one of my siblings they wouldâve just come in. âCome in!â I shouted. I was working on making more medicine for the quest.
âHi Castellanâ I said with my back turned to him.
âRefuse the quest.â He said.
âExcuse me? I canât refuse a quest from my father himself are you nuts?â I didnât turn to look at him, still working on the ambrosia mixture.
âWhat if itâs you?â He said, I swear I heard the smallest crack in his voice.
I finally turned to look at him. He was worried I can tell.
âThen it is me. I will die a very famous glorious death.â I said half jokingly.
âThis isnât funny, you canât die on me Y/n I need you.â He came closer.
My first name coming from him made me wince. Heâd only ever called me Y/n when he wanted me to take him serious.
âLuke, everything is going to be okay.â I walked to him and grabbed his hands. âIâll always be here for you.â
âAlways?â He asked as we interlocked hands.
âAlways.â I confirmed with a smile. âCome on, Dinnerâs gonna begin soon, and I canât wait for desert theyâre having strawberry shortcake!â I said as I dragged him towards the door. I could finish my medicine later.
âAlright alright.â He followedâŠnot that he had a choice or anything.
-Morning of The Quest-
âThought you could leave without saying goodbye?â I heard Luke say.
I turned around and ran to hug him. âIt was too early. I didnât want to bother you I-â he cut me off
âY/n.â I finally looked at him in the eyes. Taking in all of him. If I didnât come back, this would be the last time I would see him. âYou could never bother meâ he finished his sentence.
âOkay, Iâm sorry, but I really need to get goingâ I said.
âRight, uhm. Before you go IâŠâ he hesitated.
âYouâŠ?â I quipped to make fun of him.
âI uhm wanted to give you this.â He handed me a bracelet, it had all of my favorite colors and it was simple. Just how I liked it. I loved it. âAnd I have a matching one!â
âLuke, this is..â I looked up at him. âAmazing, thank you I love it. Iâll wear it for the rest of my life.â I hugged him, tighter than I ever had before. This could be our last hug after all.
âCome on!!! STOP MACKING WITH MY SISTER WE NEED TO GET GOING!!â My half brother shouted.
âLeo SHUT UP.â I shouted back.
âYou should get goingâ he said as he hugged me.
âYeah.â I said disappointedly. âLuke?â
âYeah?â He looked down. And I finally looked up at him for the last time. And I kissed him. I had never kissed anyone before. But Iâm glad I kissed Luke. He kissed me back, and it was like we were made for each other. Like plato had sculpted us out perfectly for eachother. After what seemed like forever we pulled apart foreheads pushed together.
âDonât die on me. Okay?â He said as he he looked into my eyes.
âYouâre never getting rid of me Castellanâ I smirked as I started walking away.
And so we set off on our quest, hoping for the best. As I looked back at camp over my shoulder. I saw Luke standing there waiting for me to leave his line of sight before going back to his cabin. He waved as a looked back. And I waved too.
-Current Day, Camp Half-Blood-
âSheâs the soul of the Sun now.â Luke answered monotonely. âEvery century, Apollo picks a new soul to be the Sun, otherwise the Sun wouldnât shine without a soul.â He explained to Percy. âY/n L/n was the soul he chose to be the next Sun. We didnât think it would be Y/n. Everyone knew she was Apolloâs favorite but, we didnât know the reason she was, was because she was the next Sun.â He said.
âSo this Y/n girl, sheâs..that?â Percy said as he pointed to the sun.
âYup.â Luke confirmed.
âShe went into the quest knowing that one of them wasnât going to make it. She knew there was a big chance it was going to be her but, she went on the quest anyway.â Luke went into detail.
âWow sheâs..really brave. I guess thatâs why she has a plaque in her honor?â Percy asked.
âYeah, her siblings fought for it to be done. She was so young you know? She was, brave, kind, and so smart. She was amazing.â Luke noticed he mightâve said a little too much when Percy questioned.
âWere you close with her?â Percy asked.
âYeah, she was..we were..itâs complicated.â Luke muttered.
âYou guys loved eachother..huh?â Percy picked up.
âYeah,â Luke sighed. âI loved her a lot. I never got to tell her. How could I not though? She was so perfect. Down to earth. She never wanted all of the glory and monsters. You know?â Luke said. He hadnât talked abt Y/n in ages. Of course she was always on his mind. But he never really talked about her anymore. He couldnât bring himself to.
âYeah. I know the feeling.â Percy felt exactly like Y/n. He didnât want to be a half blood. He didnât want glory. He didnât want any of this.
âWell, uhm. We should get going, we have a tight schedule.â Luke said as he started walking away. Percy followed. As they walked together. Percy noticed Luke adjusting a bracelet on his wrist a lot after talking about Y/n.
âYup..â Percy thought to himself â âŠDefinitely hit a soft spot.â
