   IT WAS A NATURAL THING   amleth tended to do when enveloped in conversation:  that is,  of course,  to fall silent  and  search vast confines of his mind  for words,   for explanation.    he stood with his hand  covering his mouth slightly,   brown eyes  BLANK,   no longer of this earth!   however,   dipper’s words coaxed him back to reality,   attention snapping upward. 

  “  –   why,  ghosts,  of course.   have you never heard of ghosts?”   brows crease in equal confusion.   “i was told by an outside source that you have quite a bit of experience with the,    erm…”   multilingual brain searched for the word,  hand making a gesture in the air as if to spur his brain on.   “  –    PARANORMAL.    do you?”

                      ▹   ————             ☾       THE SUPERNATURAL,           such    an    easy    way    to    rapture    attention   .    whatever    uncertainty    previously    holding    features    captive    has    now    washed    away   .    tinge    of    curiosity    seeps    through    features   ,    noticeable    to    even    daftest    of    bloke   .

                                                                 SHIMMERING,    almond    hues    sparkle   .    a    smile   ,    compressed   ,    as    though    not    wanting    to    get    ahead    of    himself   .       “    ----    GHOSTS    ?    y    -    yeah   ,    i    know    of    ‘em   .    why    are    you    asking   ?    have    you    seen    any    recently    ?    ?    “       o   ,     how    easy    it    be    to    work    him    up   ,     childlike    joy    resonating   .    last    thing    expected    was    to    find    the    paranormal    in    convention    &    yet    here    they    stand   .       “    can    you    show    me    ?    “        ☽

     Not much escaped Bill’s sight, and that included Dipper’s ever-so-faint expression of disgust. He didn’t breathe a word about it, though; it was simply filed away for possible later use, and he chose instead to focus on sealing the deal.

     “RELAX, KID. I JUST WANT YOU TO KEEP THIS LITTLE EXCHANGE IN MIND. A LITTLE SOMETHING I CAN CASH IN ON AT A LATER DATE,” he replied, arm still outstretched and vibrantly colored flames continuing to lick away at his hand. “TICK, TOCK, PINE TREE!
