So i finally finished the game
I really enjoyed the final battle, as the #1 Dorian fan i was really happy to see him there with the inquisitor, and the inclusion of all of the factions and the people from them was really nice
However, i know everyone has been saying this, but the ending was so lackluster, there was no final party or even some good post credit stuff, it just ended, like i don’t really get so see rook with his love interest in the end and there’s no real ending to tell you what happened to everyone
Maybe this was just me, but a lot of stuff felt very much like they were trying to make a mass effect style dragon age game, like a lot of stuff towards the end felt like i was playing the end of me2. It really didn’t feel like a dragon age game to me
I did enjoy that they made it so a character had to die, I feel like in the past they have been to scared to do any permanent damage to a character unless the player fucked up (or did it on purpose), although i was heartbroken watching Assan dive in after Davrin
Overall, it’s not my least favorite dragon age game, i’ll 100% play it again, but some things really were just off about the game

Every time I see art of Kaidan glowing, I remember the line from the Citadel DLC where he says that he also glows blue when he's drunk, and I truly believe that there was a scene like this at some point in his and Shepard's relationship.
Kaidan (drunkenly stumbles into the captain's cabin): Shep- Sheprrrd! Sheprr... I just... I just wanted to say that I... that I love you and I need you and I'LL NEVER LEAVE YOU AGAIN! y’all i need help, i want to find a new game to play however i have a problem where if it isn’t exactly like Dragon Age i dont want it.
so! my favorite games are Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Greedfall, and Baldurs Gate 3, if y’all know something that you think i would like please recommend.
Listen companies releasing half-baked games that require paid DLC to feel complete is bad but can we all agree it was objectively funny for Dragon Age 2 to lock the only straight character behind a paywall.
