See even with Blue Lives Matter it doesn’t seem to cover Black Lives! #blm
wild idea here but… instead of pushing this idea that teenagers can’t be asexual bc they’re children and not wanting sex is normal, how about “if you identify as ace as a teenager but later realize you just didn’t want sex bc you were a kid and stop identifying that way, that’s okay” and realizing that doesn’t mean no one can know they’re asexual as a teenager and stop maybe telling asexual teenagers that they’re too young to be ace bc that’s really weird given that teenagers are cetainly capable of being non-asexual also you totally can’t decide something like that for someone else
no offense but i want every little kid to be safe and have a good childhood
Reblog if you 100% okay with a transgender person correcting you if you accidentally misgender them or use their dead name.
As someone who has been living with severe suicidal ideation my entire life I wanna tell you all something, you don’t have to stay alive for yourself. People will say it’s a bad idea to live for external things because they’re temporary, and it’s true living for yourself is ideal but if you’re not to that point yet that’s ok too.
I’ve lived for my dog for the past 4 years, before that I lived for my snakes, before that I lived for my cat. You can live for whatever needs you and whatever matters to you. Live for your best friend, live for your plants, live for your pets, live for your animal crossing town. Live for whatever keeps you alive and the day will come when you can live for yourself.
This is something everyone should see. Thank you for sharing this.
Transformers kept me alive. When the 2007 movie was announced I was going through an incredibly hard time emotionally. I saw the preview and every time I thought about killing myself I thought, “but then I won’t get to see this thing I’ve always wanted to see, good or not.” And it got me through.
I’m in a place where I live for myself now, but don’t toss away a life preserver just because other people think you should be able to swim on your own.

there is no medical component to a trans kid transitioning
if a little trans boy comes out to his parents & is like 4 all youd do for his transition is cut his hair, buy a new wardrobe, & switch pronouns & possibly change names
no one is gonna put a little 4 year old on testosterone OR puberty blockers until theyre actually about to start puberty & then they give them a few years to really decide if they want to start hormones
a trans kid existing isnt “child abuse.” child abuse is refusing to let your kid live their lives as they truly are & forcing them to present as a gender they arent
radfems who interact with this post will be blocked & your argument will not be read or even considered. i do not care about the opinion of a transphobe & my original post still stands.
i witnessed the most fascinating thing today imo…my 4th grade art class were talking while they did their work and one of them was like “if you work hard all your life…….it means NOTHING” and their response was to all crack up and start running with this bit like. “you work all your life on an oil painting. the mayor comes in. he says ‘i didn’t even ask you to do that painting.’” they kept going giving examples of nothing mattering and laughing hysterically. they’re 9. like, we think OUR humor is depressing or w/e, how are THEY going to be
Millennials are depressed but the Gen Z kids are straight up nihilists
i was camp counseling some 8 year olds and they were about to perform at a concert venue. another counselor and i were letting some of the campers look over a high up ledge to the stage below. one camper, who is super short for her age, got the oter counselor to pick her up. once they did that, she says "throw me over. i want to die. do it." and laughs while repeating the phrase over a few ways. needless to say, the other counselor and i had a good, nervous laugh.
these are real people who don’t exist for your pleasure.
you know, there’s a lot of ace positivity posts about how you’re not broken or mentally ill if you’re asexual, and how it’s not a disorder.
and that’s true. and it’s great that people realize that it’s just the way some people are.
but i’ve yet to see any asexual positivity directed towards people who ARE asexual as a side effect of mental illness or trauma or even, as a friend of mine has told me he deals with, a result of dysphoria.
so here it is.
if you’re asexual because you have a mental illness that crushes sex drive and sexual attraction, you’re still ace. you’re still one of us.
if you’re asexual because you have a sensory processing disorder and the concept of sex is too overwhelming in a sensory manner, you’re still ace. you’re still one of us.
if you’re asexual because you have dealt with sexual trauma, you’re still ace. you’re still one of us.
if you’re asexual because of gender dysphoria, you’re still fucking ace.
it’s okay to be asexual no matter the reason behind it, and if you’re asexual, you’re a member of the aro/ace community.
and this goes for aromantics too.
It’s ok if you’re aromantic because you were abused and you can’t even trust people much less love them.
It’s ok if you’re aromantic because of abuse or trauma or mental illness and you can’t feel anything at all.
i know that some gross male dudebro is going to mansplain star trek to me at some point in my life, and at that moment i will cut him off with a theatrical “oh, the sound of male ego. you travel halfway across the galaxy, and it’s still the same song.”
this is an excellent response for 3 reasons.
1. The quote is actually from star trek, so if he doesn’t get the reference, it means it’s likely that I know more about the show than he does.
2. If he does get the reference, he’ll have to eat his fucking words
3. if he doesn’t get the reference, he will assume you have been halfway across the galaxy and are therefore an alien. and of course it is always good to have at least one person convinced you are an alien.
that concludes this text post. have a nice day
This quote is from the TOS episode Mudd’s Women.
It was spoken by the character Eve McHuron.
