For those wondering about the fox. Grace has a subtle motif with this animal throughout the movie, but especially this shot where they pack this toy fox with his belongings on the Hail Mary. some of y’all forgetting that question and statement aren’t the only two types of phrase. if rocky is telling grace to do something, that is not a statement, that is a command. requests and exclamations exist too but i think rocky would just use a command and an exclamation had enough emphasis without the word at the end. example:

“grace fix, question” -> will you fix that?

“grace fix, statement” -> you are fixing that

“grace fix, command” ->go fix that

“grace fix, exclamation” -> yay!! you have fixed that

does he use these in the movie or book? no, but he also doesn’t indicate statements nearly as much as y’all seem to think and if i have to see rocky ending a command with ‘statement’ for emphasis one more time i WILL go insane
