I'm gonna give you all some angst now:

Hot Shot not knowing how to dance can be read as like them not really being a social person or not having really been in situations where they were invited to dances...

but also, it's a moment that can really be interpreted as how lonely Hot Shot was where they haven't had the experience of what it's like to dance with another person like that. They're not unfamiliar with people, but they're estranged from a sense of intimacy with other people.

It's a small moment that reveals how disconnected Hot Shot is from being someone their age where they don't know how to dance with another person where it's not characterized as though they're nervous to dance, they don't know how to do that, but they're very familiar with throwing down in a fight.

It's like in the sense that Hot Shot's closest interactions with another person have been through sex and violence, but intimacy is an unexplored avenue that they have not tackled much.
