Del Conca in Tennessee

Italian porcelain manufacturer Del Conca is a new addition to our portfolio.The San Marino based firm started production in 1962 as an artisan workshop and grew into a major organization thanks to innovations like the single-firing method that they implemented so efficiently.

Del Conca is planning to open its 320,000 square feet Tennessee plant within 2014. The plant will be located in Loudon County.

The firm is stated to export more than half of its production to the States and this move will enable them to respond faster to their clients here.

Settecento

We are starting to carry Vintage and New Yorker lines from Italian ceramic makers Settecento, which is based in Fiorano Modenese. The company operates in more than 50 countries and is dedicated to the sustainable production practices of the Italian tile industry.

We added Spanish ceramic manufacturer Inalco to our portfolio. With their innovative products like raised floor applications and slimmker ultra-thin tiles, Inalco will add depth to our lineup of products.

IHS 2013-Frankfurt

IHS fair will be held in Frankfurt between March 12-16. The venue will be the 250,000 square meter Messe Exhibition Center, which is stated to be fully booked with various industries ranging from innovative bathroom design to eco-friendly a/c manufacturing. Some of the main themes of this year's fair is reported to be holistic bathroom design, impact of demographic change to bathroom design, thermal systems to utilize solar power, and efficient heating systems for gas and oil.

One of our manufacturers, Kaleseramik, will be joining IHS 2013.

Law Office Tile Installation by Happy Interiors

Happy Interiors of Minneapolis used Inax Sentousai White on the logo wall and Mirage Ardesie on bathroom floor and walls. Both tiles were provided by Uson Design Solutions to create these installations.

Beyond Green Symposium in Stuttgart, Germany

The institute for Lightweight Structures and Conceptual Design at the University of Stuttgart wants to draw attention to urbanization and denser living spaces. The Beyond Green-Tall Buildings in a Sustainable Future Symposium will be held between Oct 10-12 in Stuttgart and will focus on on the economy, ecology, and the sustainability of the tall urban structures. We added Boyce&Bean to our expanding portfolio. The brainchild of siblings Boyce and Bean Lundstrom, the company was founded in Southern California as a hand-made glass manufacturer. Read more below.

New venture for Kale

One of our biggest vendors,Kale Group, purchased Fincuoghi, the owner of such tile brands as Edilcuoghi and Edilgres. According to the Kale Group Chairman Zeynep Bodur Okyay, who spoke to Dunya Gazetesi in Turkey, this is a first for Italian tile industry since until a few years ago the purchase of an domestic company by a foreign tile manufacturer was out of question.
