embarrassment

i feel embarrassment over nearly everything

my body, my personality, my voice, and even the place that i fucking live.

but you know what’s something i’m most embarrassed about? my kinks.

a lot of people are just fine with their kinks. they’re okay with it and openly express how they feel towards it because they know that they can’t help it. so why do i feel so fucking embarrassed over it? it really makes no sense. i can’t help it.

i remember a few months ago i was hanging out with my best friend. we somehow go onto the conversation of kinks and fetishes, and she was completely open and fine talking about hers (not gonna say what they are lol). but when she asked mine, i couldn’t tell her. i’ve felt bad about it ever since, but i can’t seem to muster up the courage to tell anyone. and it sucks. bad. i would kill to be able to tell her what mine is and just get it off my chest.

but i can’t. i gave her clues and hints, but i couldn’t actually say what it was.

it’s stupid, too. my kink is very...soft. it’s not beating, it’s not bdsm, and really it isn’t even that related to sex. it’s just kinda...it’s own thing. people who have the same kink as i may understand and know EXACTLY what i’m talking about. hell, some may even be getting giddy over finding someone too ashamed to admit it. i know the kind of people in this...community. yes, i said community.

the people who have my kink have adopted what they call a “______ community” (sorry, can’t say what it is lol) and most are very proud of what they have. but me? not so much. i’m the person that stands on the sidelines, watching everyone having fun with their kink and relating to other people, EVEN MAKING NEW FRIENDS! but i can’t. i’m too embarrassed.

and i don’t even know why.
