In your AU is Frisk going to be taking the pacifist route but instead being monitored by Sans and his brother or is this a journey their doing alone?

We'll see, but for the most part it'll be Sans who's gonna play as the guardian and Papyrus will help out sometimes! But it is also an emotional journey they need to face alone. Though, with that young age it'll be difficult

But worry not, they are not alone. Not anymore ❤️

I love what you’ve done with both Frisk and Chara’s characters. There’s only a very few AUs out there like yours who don’t make Chara seem like an evil demon or Frisk like some mindless empty shell puppet of a killer.

I try my best, my goal is to portray the two as scared and lost little kids with a traumatic past and work through it together with some guidance

Two questions, does Sans in your AU consciously remember the resets or is he just really observant like his OG counterpart? What was it like to for Frisk to constantly reset? I imagine the whole “die and repeat” sequence took a toll on their sanity. Especially when it came to Undyne.

He is just really observant, he doesn't remember the resets

Frisk did not constantly reset even when fighting Undyne, the two (Frisk and Chara) only did one true reset and never repeated it again

It still took a roll on their sanity yeah :(

How traumatized was chara when they had to get past toriel in the ruins?

I think some people need to remember or be informed that making fan comics is a hobby, not a job.

I know a lot of readers of fan comics tend to be very young and maybe they don't get it, but making art - especially comic series - takes a LOT of time and earns the artist LITTLE money, if any at all.

Remember to be kind on the internet. Remember that when you make comments on people's pages or profiles, that they are also a human being on the other side of the screen. They aren't a machine for your entertainment. What they do is a hobby that they enjoy, and sometimes interests can shift over time. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, because art is supposed to be something someone enjoys doing.

When impatient and rude comments trying to pressure an artist to continue are made, it has the opposite effect of what you might think. It doesn't make them want to continue it, it makes them feel bad and makes them want to continue it LESS when you get so many comments like that.

Be kind. Let artists be happy and enjoy what they enjoy. Stop pressuring artists to work on something when they clearly want to explore other interests. It's horrible to see an artist lose interest in something they once enjoyed and brought them happiness because the community pushed them to hate it.

This post obviously isn't targeted at anyone who actually IS patient and respectful, but those that aren't. If you were ever someone that left a comment on an artists profile or art piece pressuring them or asking them to continue something that's been on break for a while, then this is directed right at you. Be better.

There's many AUs as a combination i was inspired by, but the one AU that pushed me to create Regret!AU as a whole was Judgement Hall by HazeSpawn from 2016 (an oldie)

Their dad sans was one of a kind. Unfortunately they have deactivated their deviantart account years ago :( but you can still find their comic and art on pinterest or out here! And the comic dub on youtube

honestly your version of Frisk reminds me of my own character (atleast in the self blame department) which is neat, child psychology kinda works that way, did you study child psychology for this? Because for my character I slightly did, essentially young children will blame themselves for being hurt even if they're not in the wrong if it's by an adult figure they see as parental.

Tho in frisk's case here it's more about hurting that 'perfect person that could do no wrong' because when you are that young that's how you view adults mostly

I also find funny that they're both eight, and traumatized. I mean a different ways but still.

funny, I was asked this question before hehe. I am honoured that people think that, but no I never studied it, I guess I have researched it a lil before writing my child characters. But some of is partially from my own feelings and interpretation, whatever feels right. I wanted to insert as much realism into them as I can, to make them feel more human and alive with actual problems

I also have my best friend who studies psychology and gave me some tips in the past, so that kinda counts!

Running freely

My versions of young adults Lily (Frisk) and Cassia (Chara) i had these designs set for ages. Lily goes for a more vibrant, over-the-top but balanced enough fashion, while Cassia prefers a vintage art-type. and yeah Cassia pretty much outgrows Lily in height lol

to answer your question at last, it's more of an artistic choice because I love drawing eyebrows but god this is so much funnier. Regs (that's my Sans's name) would do creative goofy stuff like this in his alone time. because funfact, he is GOAT-ed at giving his kids and Paps face paints!
