I would think it's safe to say it's probably the caffeine. It depends what you ate beforehand, but if you don't have enough in your stomach before consuming a caffeinated beverage like coffee, it can quicken your body's absorption of the caffeine causing nausea or digestive issues. This would be only temporary, though. I wouldn't worry.
