The village of Vík , the black sand beach, the stuffed puffin lady

  Pics from my first day of hitch-hike adventure in Vík back in October . I got picked up by a construction worker who passed me his 70 year old cousin's contact in Vik and I ended up crashing at hers. She's never married and lives in a 2 bedroom apartment. She has a dry sense of humour, takes great landscape pictures and is crazy about stuffed animals including puffin. She took pride of her collection and made me stroke them. I was slightly petrified by the sight these once-alive-dead animals and mumbled poor puffin , poor birds.
