Amazon.com Universal Wishlist for Utopia Feni Creative Studios.

I created this wishlist in case anyone would like to donate supplies to our gallery for classes that we will be hosting starting this month. Since we are just beginning this journey and are in the process of becoming an NPO, anything will help! Almost everything on this list will later be donated to our arts foundation in Feni, Bangladesh. We seriously appreciate any help we can get! Tell your friends! Thanks smile emoticon

Pictured here are some of the neighborhood children that attend the local school. There is an upwards of 1500 students that go to this school from ages 7 to 18. These children are taught the basic courses, but not many of them have the opportunity to grow beyond the village. After graduating, most of the boys find low wage labor work and most of the girls are married off or work as maids. We want these kids to have the opportunities to excel beyond these circumstances, this is why we exist. Over the next two years, we will be raising funds and building a team that will go to the school to help build a library and assist in teaching more advanced courses.

In the meantime, you may donate supplies for these children such as gently used book- bags/ rucksacks, craft supplies, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, (age appropriate) books, VHS tapes, and DVDs. Everything you donate will be going directly to the school for these children.

As many women know, having your period is very uncomfortable and debilitating even with our feminine products and health care. Imagine living without any tools to get you through the week. During menstruation, girls in poverty have to stay home and miss school for the entire cycle. This sets them back having to work twice as hard after their natural phenomena is over. These girls can not afford to sustain buying disposable pads every month as it is a luxury to them. As Utopia: Feni develops, we will move on to starting crowdfunding to help pay for the students basic and creative needs, as well as eco- friendly reusable pads so that girls can continue to learn and have the same advantages as their male counter parts.

How can I help?

These children are very impressionable and need to be taught good habits. Here is what you can to donate:

The basic needs:

- new toothbrushes

- soap

- combs/ hairbrushes

- gently used modest clothing

The development needs:

- toys

- reading books

- vhs tapes/ dvds

- unused art supplies

All monetary donations will be used for:

- water filters and bottles

- sanitary napkins 

- basic toiletries

- school supplies

- aiding the teachers

- refurbishment of the school
