Favorite dancers: Natalia Osipova, Olga Smirnova, Diana Vishneva, Olesya Novikova, Viktoria Tereshkina

Favorite painters/styles: Monet, Degas, rococo, anything Impressionist, anything Renaissance, anything orientalist.

Languages: English (native) Spanish (studied it for 13 years in school, can understand more than speak), Japanese (studied for 2 years in college), Russian (currently learning!)

I really wish that the big ballet studios would branch out and do productions of more obscure ballet, like imagine Bolshoi Ballet doing a production of Napoli or Royal Ballet doing a production of Laurencia, no doubt it would be amazing.

I would enjoy it too, but some of these ballets are very cast dependent, and these ballets might be too difficult for some companies to do based on training/style and if it’s out of their comfort zone. I can def see Bolshoi doing Napoli, but not Royals doing Laurencia or Spartacus. (To be honest, Royals can’t even do some Balanchine works well!)

What I’m trying to say is that not all companies (depending on the year/season) have generalist/all rounder dancers that can do anything. It all depends on which dancers can do which roles.
