Hi chat, deviating from the usual posts here (not that I have a usual lol, that would imply any sort of consistency) but I must bring up one of my all time favorite books in the whole world, Radio Silence.

I usually read very fantastical fiction, think from the perspective of animals, high fantasy, dragons, Greek gods, the world. However. This book is genuinely one of my favorite things in the world. I’ve reread it at least twice in the past year and I just think it’s so perfect.

I recommend it to anyone reading this. Genuinely, it’s brilliant.

Dude some UU fans genuinely make me upset. The protags are not machines. They have lives.

Flame and Spoke should not have to apologize for not posting for a long time. Spoke shouldn't have to APOLOGIZE for being SICK and not uploading. Flame shouldn't have to apologize for not posting because he has stuff going on irl.

Wemmbu didn't upload for what? A month? And people started complaining that he was taking too long to post. People were commenting on the fact that Flame posted twice before he did. They started acting like they were never going to get a post again when a month is extremely reasonable for the production quality of his videos. Not to mention, a lot of creators take a month or two to post videos. Filming takes a long time and editing takes a long time. The protags filming sessions are likely HOURS long, and that is a lot of cutting and editing you have to do after.

And it's not just Wemmbu.

Every. Single. Protag.

Every single protag gets comments or videos made about them saying they're taking too long to post. They do not OWE you posts.

"Oh but the fandom is going to die out! They need to post or they'll lose their fans"

GENUINELY SHUT UP.

The fact they still post after EVERYTHING the fandom has done says something.

They clearly enjoy making the content, but having a bunch of little voices constantly saying they're taking too long? It makes you hate what you're doing.

Content takes time. If you want to have the same high quality videos from the protags, you NEED to be patient.

TLDR; Be patient with the protags. They don't owe you an apology for not posting. They don't owe you posts. Content takes time.

Ok so I'm actually gonna lock in and start watching unstable (and writing as I go) but should I start by watching all of the videos from one pov, or release order of the videos???

Personally, I’d suggest doing one POV at a time because release date isn’t always how it plays out timeline-wise and it would be a lot of jumping back and forth.

I started out with Wemmbu, then watched Parrot, then Spoke, then Flame. I recommend for people to start with Parrot, though. Also, as long as you watch Flame last (since he was added season 2) it doesn’t really matter.

okay fuck uuuuhhhh... and there is no such thing that few people say that the people of Unstable (and the protag with the daters, among others) are afraid of Wemmbu? Like, he IS a really terrifying guy who stepped straight out of nightmares???

You can bribe Clown, you can negotiate with Flame, but you can't fuck with Wemmbu. He's unstable, unpredictable and does a lot of things just because he wants to or feel so. Bribe him? Negotiate with him? It may be possible at the beginning of your "cooperation", but any careless action and decision of yours can break the brakes at any moment. There is never an "if" with him - there is only a "when".

You can cooperate with Spoke and Parrot and the Minute is not such a terrible jabberwocky too. But Wemmbu? He is exactly what you see, he is a force that you either fear or take into account, and most of your further actions will be dictated by this choice.

As many people portray him as a "Damsel in distress" in fanfiction, it seems to me that in the series itself they seem to be missing this feeling of just fucking dred of Wemmbu - the reason why people still trying to shut him down or kill him so desperately.

AND THE WORST THING?

He's only like that because of Zam. He becomes the EXACT thing Zam feared he would. Because of what Zam did to him.

I truly believe in the beginning he WASN'T like that. He wouldn't have just killed for the fun of it or because someone crossed/inconvenienced him.

But Zam saw in him that he COULD be that person. So acted as if he was. Cut him out as if he would follow through.

And because of that he created the monster Wemmbu became in the eyes of the server.

I've been really interested in Unstable SMP lately. I never thought Minecraft could be so interesting. When I have time, I'll draw each of my favorites, but for now, I'll share some of my work with you.

Ashswag really touched my heart. He's such a cool villain, and he was my introduction to this universe.

Parrotx2 is the most interesting protagonist so far for me. The people around him and his moral principles are very intriguing. In short, he's a pure, noble hero.
