taemin and ailee, or yejin, a dear child has many names-- during the french revolution rumors spread about them and their adventrues in blood and it will come to no one’s surprise that there were probably people after them and normally yejin doesn’t move without taemin by her side, however-- she wanted to out for a stroll alone one night and watch the sky as that was something she enjoyed however that night was going to be different.

out of no where, hooded men surrounded her and normally she would have been able escape however there were too many, she couldn’t count and they succesfully captured her. not because she was weak but because they were too strong.

they took her. far away from where taemin was-- though they didn’t know that, days went by and she didn’t feed. yejin was changed to the wall, water with silver in it was thrown at her-- burning her skin so she couldn’t sleep either. eventually she lost count of the days everyday they asked her the same over and over again, questions about her kind and who was her partner in crime, but everyday her answer was the same.

                 “i don’t know.”

something she would say, each time without fail and sometimes she would even add a sacastic smirk to the comment only angering them further and so the torture got more painful. cutting up her skin with a silver knife and just to torment her more they would bleed out a human, right infront of her-- eventually the lie she told them became her truth.

her past and memories got supressed-- so she hasn’t forgotten, her memories are just supressed deep inside of her. 

then one day. like lightning striking through a dark cloud.

a door was opened. the place she was being held was being attacked and thinking that ailee would be too weak to escape properly they unlocked her-- thinking this would be the end of her however it wasn’t. in a blind haze she at attacked the first person she had seen, drained him dry and quickly got out of there. all she was wearing was a white silk dress, but it was dirty and drenched in her dried blood but also of the human she had newly killed. aimlessly she walked in the night-- scared and fightened for her life.

then she found someone, another vampire-- kihyun, the leader of a conven and like that he took her in and she joined the golden pride.

the moment they had stepped on the ground that belonged to the ribbon tiger conven, ailee had felt a shudder run up her spine-- the place was supposed to be like a stranger to her was to her surprise more familiar than anything. she had found herself knowing where things were even if she hadn’t seen them before-- not the mention their head quarters, it was so different from the golden pride’s hq’s but to her this also felt like home.

she shuddered at the thought that such a place could feel so welcoming to her, by her side was the leader of her conven and unknowingly she had reached out a hand to grab onto the fabric.

there was something eerie and frightening about this place, like it held secrets that she knew-- people that she knew.

“kihyun ah,” she uttered, “don’t go to far...” she glanced over at him, she wasn’t normally easily frightened, on the contrary-- she was scared of very little, spiders being one thing she really didn’t like but this place... had just made it to her list of places she was unsure and anxious about.

what was even more rare was her, actually showing her discomfort, “please.”

the feeling of confusion emerge and take over barom’s train of thought. whatever he meant to do next could suddenly be considered absolutely useless as the situation took a very different turn compared to what he expected. it took him a moment to understand what had happened, and it hit him hard how rusty he actually is. he curse underneath his breath, being slower than he would like to admit as he has yet to even bring forth his weapon.

and then he hear her voice again, a voice he from this point will recognise whether he want to or not. barom is quick to turn on his heels as he realise that she is now standing behind him, it could as well be his last moment and he is well aware. his heart beat hard against his chest to reveal his agitation. perhaps it had been a bad idea from his part to follow after her but as the hunter he is, he simply couldn’t help it. he would die against her if he had to.

he doesn’t answer the question as he charge at her, his silver blade just barely missing a shot at the monstrous creature. strike first, questions later – that’s the way barom has always lived by, and this encounter being no exception to the rule. frustration build up and consume him as he realise that he really need to be training again, he doesn’t even consider that the vampire in front of him might be stronger than those he has fought in the past.

  it doesn’t matter. barom wants her dead, and preferably by his hand.

it wasn’t surprising any of his movements, they weren’t as sharp as she had expected them to be-- then again, the smell of steel and silver on him told her that he wasn’t one of the people that the hunters would have in their front lines. ailee swiftly dodged all of his advances, this much even she could do despite not having fed for quite for almost two weeks. 

she can’t help but snicker at him as he tries to attack her, that is what she thinks of this as just one big attempt-- she had heard about hunters with intense hate for vampires, that was all that drove them, this hunter was no different. one look into his eyes and she could tell, he hated her existence but she wasn’t ready to give up her life to some hunter that was not even skilled enough to sneak up on her properly.

“ohh~” she uttered, swapping his hand away from her, “careful you might hurt someone with that.”

with  quick step she moved to the side as he launched at her again, at least he tried-- but his moves were somewhat clumsy and she wondered how he expected to survive-- she was sure the only thing he would be able to kill would be a newly turned vampire if anything, he was picking a fight with the wrong vampire that was for sure, but he didn’t know that.

“if your intention was to hurt me--” she started, “you are a thousand years too early.”

admittedly it has been a while since barom last encountered a vampire, his days well spent in the blacksmith’s corner instead of out in the field. that means he has expert knowledge about his equipment because well, he made them himself, though may not admit that he is rusty. he hadn’t planned for his trip to the festive mood however, honestly just wanting to get laid as the infamous holiday ultimately provide the easiest ‘targets’.

but no, barom finds himself following after the supposed woman that had just bumped ito him a moment earlier. he keep his distance, for there is no way he would lose sight of her even if he tried to. there is something about her that makes her stand out, whether it’s on purpose or not, and the vibe is simply impossible for barom to ignore or lose. he keeps cool although he is a little unsure how to exactly play his cards safely.

his hand rest comfortably, but ever so discreetly to the plain eye, on the beloved silver dagger which he ironically received from his father on a joyful birthday. barom never leave it behind, it has almost become an extra body part and he use it accordingly. his breath steady, his heart beating calmly, his steps easy; there is nothing revealing to the civilians that there might be a dangerous situation, he has no intention to alarm anyone.

barom fails to think about consequenes as per usual, and he follow her into the seeming to be empty park. it’s still a grave risk to confront her, but he has to take it.

a feeling of annoyance grew inside of her, she really didn’t want this to be her evening, all she had wanted was to observe quietly maybe find someone that she could have some fun with and then head back to the conven. she sighed heavily as she looked up at the night sky, the stars were unusually bright which only frustrated her more.

might as well have some fun with him, the thought makes her snicker quietly to herself as she stops in her tracks, tosses a quick glance over her shoulder before trying to just sense him.

he was a hunter alright-- it was noticable.

ailee stood still for a few seconds before quickly turning 360 degrees onher heel, scanning the area quickly as she tried to figure out where he could possibly hide and when she noticed him, the left corner of her mouth curved up slightly. then she mentally counted to three.

1. 2. 3., poof, like that she disappeared, though she had only moved quicker than his naked eye could catch. with all the sealth and silence that she could manage ailee almost floated to where the male was sitting crouched, glancing towards where she had once been standing. giving him a moment to realize what had just happened and she had successfully managed to stand behind him, without as much asa sound.

valentines day, if barom has to pick a favourite holiday then it must definitely be this particular date. there are lovey dovey couples crowding up the streets, restaurants, and just about every other place that they can show their love and affection with each other. along with the extreme hype towards the specific date of february the fourteenth, barom knows that there are some to many who are stuck in the midst of everything alone.

someone who has nobody to celebrate the day with, that someone being a certain someone in which barom is highly determined to find in the horde of people. it’s cold outside due to the season, yet he hasn’t really clothed himself accordingly. he is wam bloded as they say, and don’t feel the same need to tuck himself into a thick winter jacket that evidently make quick responses a little harder. no, he has to be prepared for everything.

though, he wasn’t exactly prepared to bump into someone at the street. he was about to make an apology as he notice the ice blue eyes of hers, and no matter how beautiful she is he can’t help but want to jam the silver dagger he has right through her non-beating heart. dammit that they are in public, he think for himself and feel conflicted about what to do. “don’t mention it,” his earlier agenda escaped him the very moment she spoke.

with hesitation throughout his moves, barom walk away from the vampire. he has no intention to let her escape however, he just don’t want to be too obvious when he decide to follow her.

this was not the way that she had wanted to spend her valentines day, though-- ailee had never had a special preference towards how she spent it, being as charing and beautiful as she was there had never been any trouble for her to find company if she wanted it. however, walking into a hunter had never been apart of her plans, it never was.

“well then,” she bowed her head at the male politely, “have a good day.”

with her reply and hopefully he hadn’t noticed though, if he was capable then he would have noticed how different she was. ailee turned around and walked the opposite direction, inhaling and exhaling, trying to ignore what had just happened and go about her night. however she soon realized that the male wouldn’t let it or her go and a frown furrowed her brows, a heavy sigh slipped past her lips as she smoothly walked past people.

ailee had already noted that one heartbeat was different from the rest, everyone else around her were laughing an ahaving fun, the blood in their veins were almost dancing with joy-- except his, his heart beat calmly, so it stood out like a sore thumb.

how do i deal with this, she thought to herself as she took a quick turn and into a park.

taemin had been around death so much throughout his life that it’d lost effect on him. he’d become desensitised to it. so even saying that it’d become almost humours to him, something that was evident from the wicked smile etched onto his lips. of course it didn’t help when his company had an even bigger smile on her lips. the two of them together was never a good thing, usually ending up in a blood bath. (and tonight would be no different.)

he can feel the judgemental eyes on them, as well as the mutters and the tuts. to them it was wrong to be laughing at such a mournful day; but to taemin and ailee the whole thing had become nothing but a mere source of entertainment. 

when she speaks, he cant help but let out a smirk. “lovely doesn’t begin to cover it” licking his lower lip he turns to his companion. “absolutely positively delicious i would say.”

he already knows that ailee wants to go. wants to find someone- a few people, that they could feed on. after all the best way to mourn the dead was to have a drink on them. and thats exactly what they were going to do. “of course i agree darling. how could i not when you have such a pretty face.” he moves his arm slightly so she can tuck her arm through it. “whats say we have a little fun? this place is far to depressing.”

ailee had lost track of time, of the years she had spent by taemin’s side-- together with him she had seen the world at its worst and she was sure that the world would probably get worse in the coming years, it had made her feel that humans were savages-- they killed each other for power, in cold blood and sometimes for no reason at all, it all had become one big show to her and humans were just that, puppets in a grand play where taemin and her, were maestros.

glancing over to her maker she couldn’t help but smiled, he had saved her-- from certain death but also let her experience so much at the same time, people could judge them all they wanted and she wouldn’t care even the slightest. a humans opionion didn’t mean anything to her, only his.

“you are most certainly right,” she mused at him, wrinkling her nose slightly as she gazed upon the masses of people-- her tongue graced against her lower lip.

“that is just what i wanted to hear~” she giggled happily and walked a head of him a little, having stayed in france for as long as she had ailee had leared french, so that she could sing the songs of their language, it was a beautiful language. the vampire tossed a glance over at taemin before spinning around, with her arms wide open, “how about a feast?” she said in a joyful tone as she opened her mouth, and she started singing airs de cour, a tune that she laced with a hint of magic, compelling the people in the nearst vicinity, it was irresitable to the humans and she knew. the chatter slowly stopped and they were all just looking at her, in all her glory as she sang and moved around.

it was a normal and cold winter night, even though she couldn’t really feel the cold-- she knew that it wasn’t warm because it was winter and humans wore thick clothing. occationally they would breathe warm air into their hands and she would wonder what it felt like as she tried to blow hot air out of mouth. she wondered what it would feel like to have the cold snow melt against her skin. 

sometimes she wished to be human again but then she remembered death would once agian be knocking on her door.

without paying attention she took a sharp turn, wanting to get out of the crowded area-- as much as she knew how to control herself, the longer she stayed the more her thrist would grow, especially on day like this, where there was so much love and adoration in the air, it almost made her sick. as she turned however, she felt a hard thud in her shoulder and she stopped and looked up at whoever she had bumped into, firstly to aplologize but for a moment she was just stuck staring at him.

her blue eyes scanned his features quickly, he was attractive-- with a quick glance she also noticed his posture and the scent of steel, but also a hunter.

“i am sorry, i’m at fault,” she quickly said.

laughter filled the air, even if there was blood dripping from the left corner of her mouth and some stained in her light brown air, all she could do was laugh and sing. for that was all she could do and she knew he loved the sound of her voice, as it resonated through out the dark streets of france. humans were drawn to it and one would have thought that they sensed danger, they were animals after all. on her plate, waiting to be devovered by her and the only man that was in her life right now, though she knew plenty.

for some frenchmen it was a sad day, the former queen consort of france had been beheaded earlier that day. ailee had found herself in the former queen’s company quite a few times since her stay in france, only during the night time of course--

“what a shame,” sne exlaimed even though she wasn’t feeling even the sightest bit remorseful, “she was such a lovely lady.”

like that she turned her head towards him, a small smile curving a corner of her lips, “don’t you agree?” a soft chuckle slipped past her red lips as her blue eyes gazed at the crowd, some where mouring the death of the former queen and some were ecstatic, she herself didn’t feel anything at all about the situation, if anything she was hungry as she licked her lower lip, stealing glances at necks, she could feel the blood pumping in their veins.

thought she had found love, or something close to it with a human, he ended up trying to kill her when he foud out she was a vampire, so she compelled him to forget her because she couldn’t kill him

for the last 50 or so years she has only fed directly from a human only when she really needs too.

her limit today is one month between each feeding, other than that she uses blood bags or animal blood.

is quite peaceful and calm but has a very sassy and snarky personality if she is triggered.
