musa-serenitatis:
Hearing her genuine attempt at going along with his late night ridiculousness made his heart soar tenfold, a feeling of overwhelming proportions that he was more than certain heâd never grow tired of. How could he, when the one walking beside him was someone he could openly admit to all those willing to listen (and the occasional select few sticks in the mud that didnât want to be bothered) to being his sweetheart? Of course, Kuranosuke would never resort to such means of getting the word across⌠not only because it wasnât in his style, but because Tsukimi would probably die on the spot and he never did bother learning proper CPR procedure. Instead, heâd just stick to the reality of the situation at hand. It was late at night, he had a craving for breakfast foods after a long work day, and he was strolling along a somewhat busy intersection with the love of his life.
There was nothing more he could ask for, honestly. Outside of those fluffy pancakes, obviously but they would get there eventually. For now, he found soft laughter bubbling itâs way out of his system at the visual of Tsukimi being shoved to the forefront to retrieve takeout from a delivery man who couldnât care less about what they saw at the front door. Figures that even after everything, the lovely ladies of Amars stayed true to themselves. Even as messy as that turned out to be from time to time. It was somewhat endearing, to say the least.Â
âHmm, oh me?â He blinked, then realizing that most of the day had been a blur of flashing lights and requests to move a certain way here and there.Â
âCanât say that it was really anything too exciting⌠nothing but the usual on my end as well, I barely retained most of it because my mind was elsewhere most of the day. And no fan, sadly. I didnât get to bask in the powerful winds capable of knocking me clear out of my shoes.â The model joked, having long since gotten accustomed to having his schedule days bleed into one another. âI really, really, really wanted to be back in bed today, if Iâm going to be truthfully honest~âÂ
As they continued their walk down the city street Tsukimi found her senses assaulted by the smells of varying restaurants they walked past and the lilting sound of Kuranosukeâs laughter. It made her feel light while also reminding her that her boyfriends suggestion of late food was one of the better ones he had. She didnât realize just how hungry she was before she had met up with him that night.
She watched the expression on his face change, the vague exhaustion that flit across his features at thinking about work. âWell, Iâm sorry there was no fan... at least you could say that was out of the ordinary then, right?â She asked, trying to bring some sort of silver lining to the whole thing. You wouldnât have thought modelling was so monotonous but she was starting to realize for someone stylish it just became a day job...
âHm... a-are you going to be busy tomorrow? I know we just finished a big order and well, I can take off from Jellyfish for the day. If youâre... interested, we can just spend the day uh... together? L-Like a rain check for today!â
Tsukimi looked down again. It did get easier to suggest things like that, to get over her worries about being rejected or thought of as too presumptuous or something but she still kept her edge of shyness. He hadnât tired of it yet which was nice and there was something thrilling about the warm way he tended to accept her advances.
Her advances. Geez, the Tsukimi of yesteryear would practically blush from head to toe just thinking about that word. The Tsukimi of now kept her blush firmly on her face, thank you very much!
