Paper prototype to envision user flow in an E-commerce experience
PROJECT 1- RETROSPECTIVE-TIME MANAGEMENT
30/30 user flow continued. After the four slides explaining how the application works, it brings us to the top left image. A circular timer that has four different buttons within it. Judging by their icons the user can infer what they do. Right below that are many different colored buttons with directions in each of them. All of the blocks explain how different finger movements edit the tasks at hand. What didn't work with this is that there are almost too many different gestures you can use to edit the tasks you wish to accomplish. It is nice that there is a variety of gestures that are coated with color but for someone that downloaded this to try and pick up quickly, you'll have to spend more time that you might've thought you had to.
30/30 user flow. 30/30 is a time management application designed to help users make better use of their time. As soon as the application is opened and launched the app shows a four page tutorial as to how to navigate and use the application. What worked with the beginning of this tutorial is that it explains how to use the application. I later experienced problems setting things up but it did a great job of aquanting the user with the basic uses.
Exploring through simple tracing techniques, what apples hompage is comprised of. They have a multi nav bar, a big image that is also a link to what the current image is showing and four smaller images also linked to the respective pages. Overall a clean and simple UI with contrasting colors.
Chipotle app user experience and flow. Very clean and useful to someone that just downloaded the application. The app utilizes the location services of the phone to display the closest location to you. The app succeeds in being user friendly by having icons that help guide you to make selections with ease!
Another example of good design! The apple iPhone 6 and the OS X operating system. This is a beautifully designed object- its slim, a good size fit for the human hand and has three beautiful colors. The OS is well designed by having smooth navigational flows and graphics that make the user experience a simple and pleasant one.
An example of something that can be designed better. The infamous parking sign. Its not super clear as to how long and where you can park.
An awesome example of great design the Herman Miller Aeron Chair. It is very ergonomic in form and follows the contour of the human back for comfort. It also allows for many different adjustments!
Awesome example of a website that is well designed!! Apart from having their main product links up at the top, apple features their newest and most popular products in a spot light, making them easier to experience. The black and white contrast also helps everything to pop!
