@uzushio-the-angler
Itâs been a long while since Iâve drawn my main girl Uzushio, so I decided to give her another pic. I might wanna turn this into a phone case as well.
Uzushio had to really take in the Yordle. Most people of Piltover are very prideful of their cityâs seemingly perfect utopia and powerful police force. Many donât pay attention to the under-the-table dealings most of the bureaucrats of Piltover take part in, but Uzushio is fairly impressed by the knowledge that this Yordle displays. Rin may not have earned Uzushioâs trust...but she certainly earned her respect. Uzushio extends her arm to shake Rinâs hand. âFor now you can refer to me as Angler. By the time Iâm out of this place however, youâll know my real name. Not that I donât trust you...I just donât know how many people are listening in.â She says checking the other overhanging platforms for any eavesdroppers.
She peered up at the highrises that towered over them. The docks reside at the lower end of Piltover while the wealthy reside in the upper end. The wealthy donât really like to see people above them. Both metaphorically and literally. In the distance Uzushio notes of a big tower, shaped like a tuning fork. Not for certain thatâs where Richter would be but itâs a place to start.Â
The water on the platform has mostly evaporated, so her means of escape has dried up. Not that she currently needs one but...you can never be too sure. âI do have a question for you however. Do you know where the usual...officer patrol routes are here? Iâm not saying I need to make you an accomplice but...Yâknow...â Uzushio says, cocking her head and shrugging her shoulders, âintel.â Uzushio raises her hand to her forehead to shield her eyes from the sun that peeks through the crevices between the stacked buildings. âI just need a way of getting to the upper reaches of Piltover without being seen. I donât wanna have to waste too much water to get up there. I only have a finite supply.â
My good friend  @gramcrackersinc made amazing Uzushio fan art. Why must you do this to me Grimms.
"I don't believe I've seen you here before." The Uzushio would hear a voice say to her in a friendly manner. A well dressed merchant donning a duster approached the angler. He didn't seem the type to hang out in a town like Bilgewater to say the least, but looks could be deceiving.
Uzushio turns her head to the merchant, shooting him a suspecting glare. The clean attire sets off numerous red flags inside of Uzushioâs head. When you see a merchant wearing nice clothes inside of Bilgewater, that signals that they either have very powerful friends, or they themselves have done some terrible things to earn themselves such luxuries. The cleanest people in Bilgewater are always the most dangerous. Itâs best not to get on a merchantâs bad side, but befriending a Bilgewater merchant could lead to a bunch of shady favors that could end up getting you killed. The best way to deal with a merchant is to just treat them as an asset; you donât owe them anything and they donât need to know who you are. Itâs impossible to avoid them all together but keeping contact with them to a minimum is the safest option.
âNo you havenât. Pleasure to not meet you.â Uzushio says, turning back to the counter, hoping that the man leaves.
Uzushio studied the man. Freljord? Theyâve got their own war up there. No reason to be up there other than to share an ale. Shurima? That could spell dangerâŠbut Shuriman bandits arenât known to dress dapper. Not even as a disguise. So this guy being a Shuriman hoodlum was unlikely. Ionia was the one that caught her attention. Uzushio is practically banned from going to Ionia for reasons previously explained and would always be sending their people after her. But a traveler like this guy? Ionia has their own assassins. Thereâs no reason to be having a schmuck like this. If anything this guy looks like heâd be from Piltover, DemaciaâŠZaun if you count the good parts of itâŠPiltover, Zaun, Noxus, Ionia, and Shurima are all immediate flag raisers but Demacia has their own bureacracy and donât even send out assassins at least to Uzushioâs knowledge. Besides, Uzushio hasnât been to Demacia on a contract in at least 2 and a half years. Uzushio eased up a bit and slowly took her hand out of her pocket and grasped her drink again.
âTraveler then. Well, to be honest you havenât missed much here in Bilgewater. Civil War, Gangplank is dead, The HarrowingâŠI mean itâs difficult for Bilgewater to get any worse.â Uzushio says rolling her eyes.Â
Once the womanâs hand left her pocket, he eased up a little as well, that is to say he lowered his guard. She then began to explain to him the events that occurred in Bilgewater, most of which was new he heard through the grapevine but it didnât matter.
âGangplank is dead? Sounds like big news to me.â He chuckled, and reached into his coat pocket casually. âIâll drink to thatâ The merchant pulled out a golden flask with the initials A.C. engraved onto it. âTell me then stranger, if Bilgewater is the hell hole youâre aware it is, what brings you here? I mean, there are better places to fish all over the world. Some in Ionia I believe. But that just makes me wonder why you would leave.â
He took a sip from his flask and then started speaking to her in Ionian.
âBilgewater is a haven for people tossed from home, but why exactly were you?â
In the area they spoke, there were few Ionians and Ionian speakers, so they wouldnât be understood here.
â
Uzushioâs hand grasped her drink so tightly her hand shook. She refused to look at the man as she spoke Ionian back.
âI let my emotions get the best of me. I took the life of the four men who took the life of my father. I fear of the punishment I will receive if I ever return to Ionia.â
Uzushio throws her drink into her face and swigs the rest of it down, then slamming the glass onto the counter.Â

Leo sighed taking one of his screwdrivers out and jamming through one of the chain links into the ground making sure it digs deep. âI have some blood on me that isnât mixed with anything. And if you havenât noticed Iâm not a normal person, plus it seems youâve been captured before anyways.â Leo said and pointed out the chains, before digging into his bag to take out a blood bag.
âI only have one of these. I hope youâre going to try to respect that.â Leo say placing it on the ground far from her reach. âBecause I could just crush your head under my metal leg, if you really donât want my help.â Leo threatened making sure his point was clear. âNow do you want my help or not.â
Chi stares at the blood bag. Fresh blood would be preferred, but the tantalizing redness of the bag is too much for Chi. She gnaws at the bag, hoping that her neck will somehow reach it. Unsuccessful, her head scrunches back and whines.
âiwantthebag...â she mumbles softly. She hates the idea of having to ask for help...but she needs that blood.

As he thought, she was the suspicious type, had to be, she lived in Bilgewater. He himself grew up in this town, and though he had moved on from this place, he still came back from time to time to peddle his wares, drink some good booze and most importantly, check on his mother, Ngaire. Ngaire was getting up there in the years and couldnât work as well as she used to. Aurum wanted to move her out of the city someplace safer but she refused to leave. So instead he paid a decent amount of coin for their neighbors and friends to look after her in his absence. Ngaireâs well being and the nature of this town made him suspicious of anyone who could be considered a threat. And something about this Ionian was on his mind, something about her was, different. He would normally leave people to their own devices, but with his mother on the line the merchant took no risks.
âWell, thatâs unfortunate, Iâve been away from home for a while and came to see how the place has changed.â He didnât let the other go yet, not until he could read whether or not she was a threat. âBilgewater is going through a rough time, donât you think?âÂ
A foreigner. That means that heâs not from the black market...which is good. But that also means heâs from over seas...which could potentially mean nothing but could also mean heâs a hit man. Perhaps even a cleaner. Judging by his apparel, he would fit the bill of a cleaner. Uzushioâs heart raced and her eyes locked back onto the man, not letting him pull any sneaky moves.
âAnd where by chance have you...been?â she asks, completely ignoring the second question.
Uzushio reached back into her duster pocket and palmed her fillet knife in case any mention of Piltover or Richter was mentioned.
Uzushio flashes the Yordle a toothy grin, displaying her pointy shark teeth. Her teeth are almost obnoxiously white, a lot of effort went in to keep them clean. âWell educated you are. I didnât know you guys have vastayans out here. I was under the impression that the people of Piltover are a rather a rather exclusive group. But yes, I am vastayan.â
Uzushio observes the buildings surrounding them. The buildings are rather condensed and metallic, giving her a weird sense of claustrophobia. She adjusts her long sleeves, tugging them up so her metal hooks arenât seen.
âAnd Iâm not working on a contract per se...consider it a favor for a friend. And itâs not an assassination job, but a person like Richter Voltz deserves a knife in his throat. Iâm simply here to relieve the man of an item he stole from my client. If all goes well, Iâll be in and out of this city within 24 hours. Iâll simply be a ghost. However, if word ever reaches Mr. Voltz that I was ever in this city, then getting out of Piltover will be near impossible. So once again. I must reiterate. You never saw me.â
Uzushioâs fingers drummed on the handle of the fillet knife as she thought of what to do. The yordle doesnât seem to act like an undercover police officer, most of them would be way too curious at the drop of a name like Mr. Voltz. Holstering the fillet knife back into her jacket, she decides to throw the yordle a bone. She turns around and slowly walks out of the inset onto the catwalk. She keeps her eye on the small yordle the entire time; no quick moves or anything.
âI trust you are not an officer. â She says in a hushed tone. Her eyes dart back and forth, making sure there was no one else possibly eavesdropping on the two of them. âNor that you have any...friends listening in on us?â
Uzushio notices the machines strapped to the Yordles back from before. Luminescent feathers sprout from the back casting a bright red glow onto the metal platform below her. So they are wings then? That means running from this one will prove difficult.
âMy intent is to complete my job without any unnecessary death. In order for that to happen, my presence in your city must remain unnoticed. If I tell you anything, then you never saw me. Understand?â Uzushio says, intensity in her voice.
"I don't believe I've seen you here before." The Uzushio would hear a voice say to her in a friendly manner. A well dressed merchant donning a duster approached the angler. He didn't seem the type to hang out in a town like Bilgewater to say the least, but looks could be deceiving.

Chiâs stance remained faltered, but her rage grew from the manâs comment. Why shouldnât she care about the state of the blood she wishes to feast? She refuses to drink blood that is mixed with potentially harmful chemicals. She scoffs at the man, and backs away. She tries to raise her wings, but the sudden weakness prevents her from gaining any lift. Noticing the man no longer has fear in his eyes, Chi turns away. All potential advantages Chi had in the hunt is lost. The preyâs blood is spoiled and knows that Chi is weak. Nothing left to do but run, but now that presents itself as a challenge. Chiâs legs feel like cement, requiring so much effort to even move. She attempts to trudge away, her legs wobbling with each step.
âIâm not in troubleâŠIt takes more than just a little hunger to dispel the spirit of the Blood MoonâŠâ Chi murmurs.
Chi takes one step away from the man, but her leg falters and collapses from underneath her. She tries to catch her fall but her flimsy wings are unable to provide any support so she hits the ground flat.
Leonidous watched as she tried to shamble away with her broken hopes, it sparked something within him, a flashback to how he crawled through the streets of Zaun back to Piltover only to be beaten and battered when he returned. Leo sighed and sauntered his way over to the fallen demon.
âYouâre suffering from malnutrition, it seems youâre getting to a unstable point, if you wish to survive then youâll have to tell me what exactly you need to sustain yourself.â He said before pulling out a vial of blue liquid and downing it, shortly after doing so the liquid stopped leaking.
âDonât think this as a charity or weakness, but I just canât leave you here to suffer a fate worst then death.â Leonidous stated before kneeling in front of her.
Chi hissed as she lied down on the ground. It was infuriating that someone would consider her weak, despite it being clearly so.Â
In a sore voice she muttered, âI donât need a mortalâs help...Iâm completely okay...â Chi tries to push herself back onto her feet but her wings are too weak to lift herself. âI just...need some plain, mortal blood. No additives. Yours is spoiled with that nasty chemical, itâs so rancid I can smell it from here.â
Chi attempts to inch herself away, arching and straightening her back like a caterpillar. She remains in denial of how ridiculous she looks. Her pride would not allow it.
âJust...leave me be, mortal. I didnât get released just to be trumped by a mere, single traveler. I will not allow myself to be so humiliated.â She mutters.

A single blue light shined from the right side of Chiâs mask, piercing the pitch blackness of the night. She slowly strafed the man, circling him with her wings extended. She could smell the manâs fear, but she could also smell the electrical heat radiating off of the manâs large metal gauntlet. Appears he has a way of defending himself. Chi hissed at the man as he dialed his gauntlet. Part of her wants to just lunge at the man and drain him of life, but she being locked away for so long left her with so much of her strength from before lost. She was hungry, but if this man could fight backâŠIt would not be worth the risk.
âBloodâŠâ She hissed softly, responding to the man, âIâm soâŠhungryâŠâ
Normally sheâs extremely more refined and would be willing to pester her prey before killing themâŠbut she feels so weak that she canât help but just mutter out simple lines. Like a man lost in the desert, crawling on his last few breaths, dying of starvation.Â
Leo didnât even bother putting in the effort of following this monsters movement around him, all he needed was to keep his ears open to the sounds of itâs steps, to keep track of where it was. His glove was ready and his augmentation started pumping itâs chemicals throughout his veins, the false crystals on his augment glowing green as the chemical bonded with his blood. âTry your hardest to keep calm.â Leo tried to drill into his conscience. upon hearing the small demons reply he waited for her to circle back in front of him before making his stand
âYouâre not getting my blood, Creature!â Leonidous replied before charging at the demon, hoping to bash it against a tree to daze it.
Chi was startled by man charging forward, she leaped up into the air, pumping her wings to gain as much lift possible. Chi can smell the manâs blood pump. Something about it smells...noxious. What is that awful smell emanating from his blood? The man has something else brewing inside of his veins and it is not appetizing. Just her luck. Her only chance to feast and her only pick has tainted blood.
âWhy? Why must you taint your blood with such disgusting poisons?â Chi says, her voice raspy, like she has a sore throat.
Itâs starting to become difficult to fly even, but showing weakness would make her appear nothing more than a wounded puppy. She doesnât need that sympathy. Sheâs the demon of the Blood Moon, she is to be feared as the terror of the night. Chi drops down behind the man, her legs slightly faltering when she lands. Her legs feel like guitar strings, but she attempts to retain an intimidating posture.

Uzushio held her back to the inset of the wall, not letting an inch of her show. She heard a voice from behind her, on the catwalk to the right of her. Not here to harm anyone? Well Uzushio hoped that would be a given, but you have to earn her trust before she even considers giving up an inch of vulnerability. Uzushio called out to the yordle in a hushed tone.
âStand back. Not another inch if you value your life. Iâm not here to harm you either, but you must keep your distance.â
Uzushioâs fish hooks remained coiled up in her sleeve. She wasnât ready for a fight, but instead she palmed a small fillet knife tucked into the inside of her duster. If the Yordle rounded the corner, Uzushio wouldnât hesitate to strike out. She breathed heavily, the sprint caused her heart to pound furiously. Uzushio looked down at the ground and kept an eye on the water on the ground. As long as it remains there, Uzushio had an escape. But as long as yordle was there, she would have a witness. Instead of making a body, maybe it was better to make an accomplice. She opened her other hand, the small piece of paper from earlier crumpled up. On it was the face of a smirking, older gentleman with black mutton chops. Only the head shows but one could easily determine that the man is heavy in stature due to the rolls of fat curled under his chin. A monocle, glowing with bright blue reticles and decorated in Piltover motifs perched on his left eye. He also has a top hat with a plush purple feather sticking off the side, and gear shaped goggles clasped onto the front. Does everyone in this freaking city have goggles of some kind?
âRichter Voltz. Where is he?â
Richter Voltz is a very well known businessman in Piltover, notably the head of Voltz Security Systems in Piltover. The company is responsible for a large number of electrical and technimurgical systems designed to tackle crime in Piltover from preventing burglary all the way from hunting murderers. The man is also known to be notoriously Anti-Zaunite, a lot of his electro-barriers set around the meeting point between Piltover and Zaun. Additionally, he made sure his headquarters was as far away from Zaun as possible, a towering skyscraper that resembles a large tuning fork. Thatâs generally where Voltz is most of his time.

@uzushio-the-angler
It was a strange night in Ionia, the moon was a dark crimson, and the air itself was filled with malevolent intent, the soft glow of a torch was all that lit the young wandererâs way. âWhat in Jannaâs name is going on? A lunar eclipse maybe but something just doesnât feel rightâŠâ he grumbled to himself as he continued his travel.
A gale of wind struck the traveler snuffing out his torch and knocking him back on his behind. âWhat in the world was that?!â He exclaimed as he scrambled to get to his feet and try to see what caused the gust in the pitch black of the Ionian jungle.
Chi sat perched upon the bulky, bushy branch of a large terawana tree, hidden among the leafy canopy of the Ionian rain forest. Itâs been too long since sheâs been able to have her proper hunt. And now that the moon is at itâs prime, now is better than any. Just in that moment, she spotted a faint light trailing below her. She quickly recognized it to be a torch which could only mean one thing.
âTraveler~â she whispered to herself, cocking a mischevious grin under her white mask.
Chi spread her wings and quickly nose dove down towards the man, striking just above the manâs head, not hitting him directly but leaving enough force to certainly startle him. His torch was quickly extinguished and he fell backwards. As the man scrambled to his feet, Chi rebounded off of the ground and lunged back at the man, stopping a few feet away from the man coming to a sharp realization. She forgot how short she was, so on her feet and knees bent sharply for stability, she came up only to the manâs waist. She always had accompanying spirits to fight with her so the sudden realization that sheâs hunting alone makes her feel slightly uneasy. But regardless, she extended her wings apart to make herself appear threatening.
She gave a raspy huff. âDangerous to be out here all alone...especially at this time of night.
