What would you like to see more of on this blog?!
I created this SurveyMonkey one-question questionnaire because I’m curious as to what y’all want to see on this blog. I’ll be taking your answers into consideration to further the interest on both sides of the screen :)
(no sign up needed, it’s super simple)
thanks! xx
4,500 followers strong!
Not gonna lie, I love this blog so much, and I love bragging about it.
You guys are the greatest, and I can’t wait to give you more of what you love!
I’ve got to get back to reading but...
I’ve got a lot of personal stuff going on with my family, I have 3 certification tests to take within the next 4 weeks, and student loans are terrible.
So if anyone is into praying or sending positive vibes this way, that’d be greatly appreciated.
Much love, xx
You asked where the room with walls full of van goghs painting "the starry night" is ? It's a great exhibition in Berlin which is called "van gogh alive " and this is one of the rooms there:) you sit there reading some of his quots while listening to classical music and being surrounded by changing paintings .. Maybe I helped you ;)
That’s awesome, thanks for the info!
what's the name of the Van Gogh book you're reading? Thanks! ☺️
“The Letters of Vincent van Gogh”
The publisher is Penguin Classics
just found your blog, love it! so glad there are so many other van gogh admirers out there!
The more the merrier! 💜💙💚
Last day of summer....
That's okay with me because I absolutely love autumn! I've got to do some research and see if van Gogh painted any fall scenes... I can't recall any off hand
Irises {1890}
Corridor in the Asylum {1889}

I can't answer you privately if you're anonymous.....
For the person who asked if the eating yellow paint thing was true - he DID eat paint, but only during his episodes, at which point he was mostly unaware of his actions, and unable to really control them. Yellow paint is never specifically mentioned in his account of these episodes or in the official Saint-Remy doctors' commentary, although paint in general is. I think the yellow paint for happiness might be a slight exaggeration that's worked its way into being perceived as fact over the years.
Sounds right to me!
what is the actual pronunciation of his name? (In Dutch)
I’m not sure off the top of my head. And I can’t find my book because I just moved, but when I do I’ll post it if I find out
Guess who went to The Met for her 1 year anniversary with her boyfriend and spent most of her time looking at the van Gogh paintings?? . . . . . . . . . I did!!
Is the story about van Gogh eating yellow paint to get the happiness inside him true?
I haven't come across that yet in his letters, I'm just up to the part where he's totally removed himself from his religious path, he's found a studio to work in, and is just beginning his sketches
How is the book on Van Gogh you're reading?
Really amazing! I love reading his point of view on life. Real life, every day stuff. As opposed to a celebrity writing their own autobiography. These are just his letters to his brother, nothing he every imagined to get published.
Is it a sin to love, to feel the need for love, not to be able to live without love? I consider a life without love a sinful and immoral state.
Vincent van Gogh (21 December 1881)
