"everyone should get more aromantic" can appeal to tumblr's sensibilities but I genuinely think everyone should also get more asexual. I don't mean everyone stop having sex, what I mean is

Sex is not essential. You can live without it. Full stop.

Not having sex isn't shameful or a sign of failure. It also doesn't make anyone boring.

You are not entitled to having sex with anybody and nobody is entitled to having sex with you.

Sex is not what makes someone an adult.

Nobody's worth is defined by how much sex they have or don't have.

Sex is not equally important to everyone.

You can have fulfilling and happy relationships without sex.

You should only have sex on your own terms, not because you feel like you owe it to someone, or because you feel like you'd be incomplete without it.

Know your boundaries around sex and be firm about them. Know how to respect other people's boundaries.

The previous point also applies when it comes to discussing sex. If someone doesn't wanna talk about it or hear about it you have to back down.

Anything can be sexual but not everything has to be sexual.

People who draw for Project Moon fanart- how do you pick colors? Lobotomy Corp vs Library of Ruina vs Limbus Company- The art all have this kind of subdued hue to the colors.

I.E: Have you ever tried to make a blond Nugget in LobCorp? The hair colors always looks dull. Personally, I can't get the vibrant hair colors I aim for, unless I use the very specific hair styles that have a different color baked in.

Also of note: I've been making LCB Ego Gifts/Abnormalities in my Tomodachi Life playthough (Lateral Island), and unless I try to adapt what I'm making, its either too vibrant or too grey.

Now that I'm actually drawing my ocs, I've found it difficult to figure out how to pick what colors to use, and how to adjust them. Slapping a grey coat of color overtop doesn't aleays look good, so there's gotta be some way to figure it out.

Color pick from existing characters/scenes/art? Practice until you can feel it out? Ignore any discrepancies? Is it the layering? A filter??

Its not a big deal or anything- I'm not doing too much coloring except in Tomodachi, so I don't NEED answers, y'know? But any thoughts would be appreciated ^^"

when i was a tiny baby queer (aka a 24-year-old), i went to my first pride festival probably three months after i kicked ex-gay therapy to the curb and came out to my parents. being the people they are, my parents came with me. they weren’t really sure about this whole gay thing, but they loved me and wanted me to be safe and happy and wanted to be involved in what was important to me, so they came along. (i also think my mother still might have thought i might get drugged or murdered or beaten by a protester of which there were plenty.)

anyway i wanted a memento of my first pride, you know, and this one vendor was selling keyrings, and i liked it, so i bought one. do you remember those italian charm bracelets that were all the rage like 10-15 years ago? it was a keychain like that, and it had a rainbow rooster, a rainbow cat, and then just a rainbow, and so I bought it.

i run into my mom a couple of vendors over and she goes oh you bought something? what’d you get? so i showed her, and i was like, “I’m not sure why it’s a rooster and a cat. Seems kind of random. But I liked the rainbows.”

and my mom, who was some form of minister’s wife for most of my childhood and teenagerhood, stares at me like she thinks i’m joking.

“What?” i say.

“…it’s a cock and a pussy, Jules,” she says flatly, and that is the story of how i died at the age of 24 while attending my first pride festival.
