He slept here all night, he notes in wonder, and more soundly than he can recall in recent history at that. He asked her the night before, as they lay side by side with their chests rising and falling in unison, if she wanted him to go -- and when her sleepy response of, “No, stay here,” fell from her lips, that was all the encouragement he needed to drift off with the warmth of her body pressed against his. He can feel her there now, beside him, and he can hear her too: the barely audible sound of her breath as she sleeps, a sound so minute that it wouldn’t even be relevant if he hadn’t spent the better part of the last four years wishing he could wake up and hear it.

WOW! the new chapter was so good! i’ve been feeling a lack of archieronnie these days so you updating made me so freaking happy, i honestly cant even tell you how much i loved it!! the smut was so good obviously and i love how you’re now portraying reggie and ronnie’s relationship as friends, it’s sweet to see that they’ll still talk to each other and stuff like that. anyway, loved it so much and i’m so excited for the next update :)

Her heart starts up a skittering pace in her chest, a dormant and all at once familiar pounding that used to take up residence inside her on the late nights when she would sneak Archie into her bedroom when they were teenagers. She’s alone in the penthouse now, no threat of parents to catch them, but still she holds her breath as she slips out of bed.

She creeps into the living room and lets him in through the front door wordlessly, their eyes locking in the dark as if to say there you are. Her breath is shaky already, her legs trembling and her body waiting in anticipation, like she’s known for a long time that this was coming, something inescapable rumbling towards them. Everything feels inevitable somehow, an ending that’s already been written.

Varchoni double date at Pop’s

it’s eight pm, cheryl and toni are sitting in their usual booth at pop’s when the pink haired girl spots riverdale’s sweethearts coming through, archie and veronica, she asks if they want to join them and they do.

cheryl and archie both go to the counter to make the orders — two chocolate milkshakes and cheesy fries for toni and veronica, and two strawberries milkshakes for the red haired ones, onion rings for cheryl and a burger for archie —, leaving the their girlfriends alone at the booth where they talk about toni’s photoshoot that veronica has offered herself to be photographed for.

once they’re all together again, it doesn’t take too long for archie and veronica to start making out, loosen with physical affection, getting a teasingly snark comment from cheryl about how they can’t keep their hands off of each other for two seconds meanwhile toni tells her not to interrupt them, pointing out that it’s entertaining to watch, getting a laugh from the others at the table as they finally pull apart from each other with apologetic faces just to watch, not two seconds later, cheryl pulling toni into a passionate, yet soft kiss, both couples getting used to showing affection in front of each other.

when the girls start to talk about something river vixens related, each one of them gets at least one frie thrown at them by a bored archie andrews that can’t be arsed to listen to “girl talk”, and cheryl changes the topic to something else by asking him about a gig she’s heard archie is going to play in greendale, and he asks if she and toni would like to come and watch this weekend, the four of them agreeing on going together.

after pop’s, veronica suggests they go to the movies together, apparently there’s a romcom she’s dying to watch and off they go, four friends that hadn’t even planned anything together but ended up spending a good time with each other, heading to their homes afterwards, each holding hands with their significant other.
