it’s that grin that gets him kriffing time. poe can’t help but smile wide in return as he turns to face him after his drink has arrived, sipping it slowly. he’s deliberately been drinking less tonight because he wanted to be able to get ben out of trouble if that was what it came down to. But the look on his friends face made him wish for a moment that he was having as much fun.

either way, he would give anything in the galaxy to keep that look on ben’s face if he was being honest. he even downed the rest of his drink. though that wasn’t going to do anything yet, it was going to take poe quite a while to catch up. but on this planet he felt like he was back home again. yavin 4 had been muggy to say the least and poe was used to it. but he didn’t think that ben was. of course the weather hardly mattered when he saw the look on ben’s face now. he tried to deny that he could feel it but he couldn’t and reached out for his arm, missing it as he ran off.

“ ben! ” he’s scrambling to his feet as fast as he can so that he can chase after ben, trying to hold back his hair. “ what happened back there? ”
