I originally intended on having another (perish the thought) blog for interactions with the clan leaders and other characters in between, but as I began to set that up a year or two ago, I've now realised that would have been waaay too much work. γγβοΈ But! That being said, I'm super open to the idea of interactions with deceased characters too for the most part! People like Odessa, Karlheinz (who isn't exactly dead *cough cough* Teddy *cough cough*), etc. but it would be alternate universe/hypothetical/pre-"canon" interactions!
The sixth, and youngest, son of Sakamaki Karlheinz' sons by birth, Subaru is a pureblood Vampire and product of incestuous relations between the former King and his cousin . He is Karlheinz' final heir to the throne, and remains legally King despite his alleged suicide.
Upon Karlheinz' assassination, and the attempts on - and disappearances of - his brothers, Subaru was said to have taken his own life. The only evidence of this was his torn and discarded school blazer by the window of his mother's tower, and her absence, suggesting they leapt to their deaths.
As with Laito, however, Richter insists Ryuuto and Reiji keep a constant search through the Makai - and neighbouring human cities - for hisΒ whereabouts.
Reiji has since attempted to contact Shu, in case Subaru fled alongside him, but has not received a response.
While Subaru initially did travel with a distressed Christa - fearing for her safety - to Conques, France, in hopes Shu would take them in, it was not to be. Upon turning them away "for their own good", Subaru has since been forced into hiding, and decided to do so right under Richter's nose; Caring for Christa has proved difficult with her mental state, and keeping her close to Karlheinz' former residence seems the only thing that keeps her manageable.
As of now, Subaru still has not broken the news of Karlheinz' death to Christa, knowing it would shatter her.
Every so often, though, Christa's mind betrays her and she refers to her son as his father, forcing herself on him... And Subaru isn't sure how much longer he can go with trying to protect her from his Uncle, herself, and his own thoughts.

γγβοΈ A lil backstory first: Richter and his wife were estranged by the time of the Odessa insistent, and had been for some time. His relationship with this woman was pre-Cordelia's death but post-Ryuuto's, around the time of his birth; Richter - in order to "cover his tracks" with Cordelia (and to try and throw off any scent of a scandal by fathering a child with his sister-in-law behind the Vampire King's back) - married a noble Vampire woman. Despite his reluctance with the marriage, they had a child together. Soon, however, Richter abandoned this new family, his commitment to Cordelia overshadowing this superficial marriage. He had not kept in contact with them, outside of being acknowledged of Daisuke's birth, however records from the Makai still consider this his "official" family legally.
γγβοΈ So! Do they simultaneously think the other is dead? Half and half - Richter is left without a shadow of a doubt that Daisuke died back when Odessa destroyed this family. Daisuke, however, not only does not know of his father's fate, but does not really know his father. He could pick him out in a room, sure, because he was raised as a prince and his mother often talked of him - and he knows his uncle is Karlheinz - but they do not have any father-son relationship at all.

γγAs both a Vampire and a Vampire Hunter, Daisuke has been Komori Seiji's apprentice at the Church ever since he was gravely injured by him. He is the son of Sakamaki Richter and his estranged wife, who were thought to have been murdered by Odessa, and thus he is the half-brother of Sakamaki Ryuuto. Daisuke is, additionally, unofficially a priest at the Church.
γγ Within the Church, only Seiji knows of Daisuke's Vampirism, with the former taking him under his wing as his apprentice after being hunted by him in Germany. Although Daisuke remains weakened, and ill, from the poison used to capture him, Seiji keeps him alive for the purpose of his pureblood heritage providing knowledge of other Vampires, and of Karlheinz. The poison used was alike the potent toxins Richter used on Ayato, following his initial refusal to abdicate; His poisoned and dying veins are similarly discoloured, kept at bay by medicine administered by Seiji. His hands, however, are the most noticeably poisoned part of him, which he conceals with gloves.
γγ Daisuke is a methodical, and routine-loving, young man who keeps to himself more often than not. Despite being thankful for the mercy showed by Seiji, his gratitude has its bounds; He remains distrusting, with his death almost certainly assured when his usefulness runs dry. He, however, remains loyal to him, festering a deep desire for vengeance for his mother against Odessa, and all those involved with the destruction of his family.
γγβοΈ He briefly fled from Germany to Russia following Odessa's destruction of his family, before returning a few years later after being chased out by Vampire Hunters.
γγβοΈ He is fluent in Japanese, German, and Russian.
γγβοΈ He was born on December 24.
γγβοΈ He shares a name with SaintΒ Denis, the first bishop of Paris, who was martyred by decapitation, after which legend says he picked up his own severed head and walked for a distance while preaching a sermon.
