You‘d asked me what my favorite photo I’d ever taken was….

I never did say mainly because it was of you.

& I’ve heard you say so many times there’s no bad art. God I couldn’t ever handle hearing you go back on something you believe in so deeply

but I also know how hard you can be on yourself and I never wanted you to put down one of my favorite moments ever captured.

As I stay hiding in the shadows. I watch as each of my demons slowly try to crawl away. I yank the chains tighter and tighter with each attempt at escape. I’m a prison guard to my own brain.

& my eyes the cameras.

Why are we always the ones driving ourselves insane

There we were together. Not alone.

though it may have felt we were the only ones in that bar. You turned everyone down and I felt your energy from across the room. You didn’t kiss me though.

We danced

You smiled so did I

we got really close too..

I intensely watched the way you sipped your beer so coolly.

I wished all night to know how that bottle felt in your hands & against your lips & just when I thought you’d kiss me

I felt you push away and grab my shirt so you didn’t go too far

The whole bar could feel us.

Yet we remain playing it safe. knowing we’re better off friends. <3
