▶ "I feel rather faint today..." Lycoris touched her own forehead and sighed softly at the abnormal warmth. Of course, she would become ill in this season. Obviously, the temperatures have significantly dropped and there was an increase in the percentage of catching a cold due to that.
Coupled by the fact she was born with a weak immune system... she really didn't have a doubt that there was 70% chance of her fainting soon. ◀

//ooc: Maybe I'm a little bit discouraged with all of my .hack characters. I've forgotten how it's like to RP as Hokuto and Tobias... or I don't know if I have the motivation left to run them. It's been so long... I forgot what it was like to be fun on them.
This was a reason why I took up Lycoris, so I would revive that passion I used to have, but I don't know if it's working. I just don't know at all.
I love my characters, really, but where am I going with them if I don't have that spark left?
Another moment of staring with a mixture of… well, he didn’t know. It wasn’t weird for the girl to be reading, but the way she was speaking felt…
Well, weird.
"Seventy-five percent?" What was with the fucking exact number? Another glance at the book. “Aren’t you a little fucking young to read thick-ass books like this?”
▶ Lycoris stared at the rough man, still confused, especially at his swearing. Was he referring to the length of certain book...? The platinum-haired girl shook her head quietly at him.
"Negative, Mr. Xanxus. Since 10, I have already begun reading publications that were at least 300 pages. I cannot regress my reading now at this age." ◀

Birthday Headcanon
▶ Today is Lycoris's birthday, on the start of the Autumn Equinox, the season of harvest and the deceased.
Today is also the holiday of Higan-e, a Buddhist holiday that celebrates in Autumn and Spring to devote more time to renewing one's faith in Buddhism. It is also to celebrate and honor deceased ones. Around this holiday, the flowers of the red Lycoris radiata, also known as the Red Spider Lilies, begin to bloom.
In Japan, they are called the 'Higanbana', because 'higan' means the other shore to the river of the afterlife. These flowers decorate the shore, and they are a tribute to the dead. ◀

"Take a picture, it’ll last longer. What do you want anyway?"
The Rogue stared at the odd child, tilting his head in a confused manner. All he got was a name. Great. Way to be blunt and straight to the point.
"Lycoris, eh? What do you want? Listen kid if you’re looking for someone to play with you’re gonna have to look somewhere else. " He spoke rather rudely, crossing his arms with a grunt as he folded them over his chest. In truth, he was rather confused about this entire situation. Even her voice had a sense of eeriness. Like she was a ghost of sorts. The Rogue absentmindedly scratched his head, unsure as to what he should say. She didn’t seem to be going anywhere. Maybe if he just left..? As mean as he was, even Haseo would feel guilty about leaving a little kid behind. Just how was he suppose to handle something like this? It’s not like Haseo was good with kids to begin with.
▶ "…Play…"
Lycoris stared blankly at him, unable to process his command. The purpose of that event was not embedded into her code.
Indeed, they were both inside a game, where the purpose of the player was to play it. However, when one did play, they would have a specific purpose to do so; such as leveling up, collecting items, or completing quests.
But her complex data mark-up was not coded to be a player. Her role in this game was to be something else, and that knowledge was locked away inside her program.
All she was capable of doing now was interact and gather information; because logically that would download more data she needed and give her an understanding of her existence.
Therefore, Lycoris processed the most human answer to respond to Haseo with her tiny voice.
"…I don’t know how to play." ◀
Without a doubt, Chris was caught off guard. This little girl spoke with a vocabulary that rivaled the most intelligent individuals on the planet, yet she demonstrated such a poise and tone.. she seemed almost emotionless…! Perhaps the best word was ‘calculative’? Regardless Chris took everything in. She’d have to tackle this situation her own way- logic wasn’t the answer to this hot head’s negotiation process.
"Look, if you were hurt why didn’t you just say so in the first place? I’m no nurse, but you’re not going to get ‘whatever percent’ better by just sitting here, let me see!"
Dropping her bags, she quickly squat down to check up on the girl, reaching out to check her arms and legs for any sign of injury. Chris might have been a bit rude by stepping into the other girl’s personal space so quickly without permission, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t gentle. She held the other as one might have held a sacred treasure or new born child.
Luckily, the damage didn’t seem all that severe. But, there was no such thing as being ‘too safe’- with a quick revisit to her belongings, Chris brought out a pocket first aid kit.
"Looks like you just scraped your knee…but you have to be more careful okay?" she sighed as she gently wiped around the area, applying a band-aid as a follow up measure. “…but yeah, this isn’t the best fix - temporary at best. You said something about going to the nurse? At least now if you go it won’t get infected on the way there. “
She had completely forgotten about the whole roommate thing.
▶ Lycoris looked up at the other pale-haired girl, a bit startled when the other girl squatted down to check on her. It was beyond her own calculations that a stranger would assist her.
As she watched the other girl bandage her injury, a sudden far-off memory played in the back of her head of this familiar situation.
"Onee-chan... please be more careful."
If she was here right now... Would she have done the same as this girl?
However, that memory was from the distant past. That certain event happened eight years ago. Interaction with her was cut since then.
Technically, the more important question was: Did she even remember Lycoris existed?
The crimson-dressed girl shook her thoughts immediately, now confused at the state of her own emotions. Dwelling over nostalgia wasn't like her, not at all.
It took her approximately 34 seconds to remember the term to express her gratitude.
"...Thank you..." ◀
Art Project || Sting & Lycoris
There was no way to be sure just how much time had passed when Sting started. Once the male gets into his art, there is no way to get him out until it’s finished. That’s just how serious he is about any art work he does, something that contrasts against his carefree attitude about everything else in his life.
Sting was attentively creating his art, bringing it to life under the light of the moon and the flashlight he had. 3D art takes time and the angles have to be just right in order for the 3D to actually show. So into his own world, the male didn’t even sense that someone else was around.
It was just as he was measuring out some guidelines, that he heard that soft voice.
In his shock, Sting’s hand veered off course, the once straight line becoming jagged. He cursed silently as he saw the ruined line, before he whipped his head around to snap at whoever interrupted him. However when he saw that it was just a little girl, his annoyance immediately dissipated and he opted to let out a disgruntled sigh.
"I’m drawing a picture." He stated as he reached for his bag, looking through it for the rag he brought. That jagged line would have to be erased and redrawn now.
The blond began the task of carefully removing the line, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration. No words were uttered in that time, but when he finished, Sting glanced back up at the mysterious girl, raising a curious eyebrow.
"Shouldn’t you be in bed kid?" Heck, he wasn’t even sure if she was suppose to be here at all. Maybe it was just the dark (which he highly doubted) but the girl looked like she belonged in a middle school. "If you stay out here you might get caught."
Wise words from the male who was breaking curfew and also defacing school property. Not like Sting actually cared as he simply reached for his chalk again and turned to work on his art some more. “You better run along, you’ll only get in trouble if you stay here.”
▶ Lycoris blinked, unfazed even when the student seemed to have messed up because of her interruption. His answer only fueled her curiosity more. What was the purpose of doing that at this hour? Was it because he was in a similar situation that paralleled to hers?
She watched him fix the line he had made an error on before the conversation restarted again.
"You are correct. I should be. I'm one hour and 45 minutes off my designated bed time..." she answered softly, only a small whisper in the darkness.
"However, at least 45% of the high school students don't sleep at this hour anyways... There are many factors such as leisure, health problems, socialisation, or homework... such as my case... that can prevent sleep. We're both in that percentage."
Choosing to ignore the blonde's warnings, the crimson-dressed girl stepped closer to look over his work, still holding the bundle of flowers in her hands. She should really return back to her dorms soon. Her own work was waiting for her, if she even had the faintest idea of what she was going to achieve with her lack of ideas.
But trouble couldn't deter her anyways; she was already very familiar with the term.
"What is the purpose of this picture? Ah. And you are off one inch on this specific line." ◀
Ew. ‘Mr. Teacher’ sounded fucking disgusting. “Xanxus,” he said first, staring, “Not that ‘Mr. Teacher’ shit.”
Regardless, he looked at the book a moment, “…Why the fuck are you reading a book like this, kid?”
▶ "Mr. Xanxus." The girl corrected herself, still unfazed.
She blinked, not understanding the ill-mannered tone he was holding towards the book she wanted.
Was there an error of her selecting 'The New Encyclopedia of Flower Remedies: The Definitive Practical Guide to All Flower Remedies, Their Making and Uses.'?
It was just an encyclopedia... a book that could be read like other books.
"75% of my interests are into the study of flowers, Mr. Xanxus..." ◀
Art Project || Sting & Lycoris
"Hmmm."
The blond teen stood in the middle of the school courtyard, looking down at the nice and clean concrete. This might have seemed some what normal, except for the fact that it was late in the night and no one was around.
In his hand he held a flashlight, which was currently giving him the means to look around. In his other had, Sting held a back pack that was filled with art supplies, mostly side walk chalk, rulers, and anything else he thought he might need for his little project.
With another quick glance around, Sting got down and started to pour out his supplies, grabbing for the white chalk and his ruler. He placed the flashlight at an angle that could give him some light and started to sketch out the begging lines of his art.
Already he was highly excited about the 3D art he was about to create. He didn’t know if this allowed, but he honestly didn’t care. everyone was mostly likely back in their dorms at this hour, so he doubt anyone would see him. At least he hoped so.
▶ Nighttime.
It was approximately 23:34 pm. Central European Time.
Normally at this hour, approximately 85% of the students should be in their dorms by now. Out of that percentage, possibly only 55% of them would be sleeping.
Lycoris, however did not fall under that normalization. She was deviating with the 15% of the students who shouldn't be out here in this hour. More than likely a violation of the rules.
It couldn't be helped though. She couldn't sleep comfortably... and she also had her drawing homework due in 8 hours and 22 minutes. The one that should have been done 3 days ago... but she couldn't think of anything.
Drawing... was rather difficult to her. The topic of her current assignment was to draw an object to represent an abstract theme... an emotion.
The crimson-dressed girl was rather baffled when she couldn't grasp the meaning of the assignment. How? How can just an object represent any abstract meaning?
There was only one definition to it and it could not represent anything else.
And as Lycoris questioned that about her homework in the last few days, that said predicament led to the current situation she was in now: she was scurrying through the courtyard with bunches of tulips and daisies in her hands. She would draw these instead, meaning or no meaning, to complete her assignment.
She hurriedly took a turn around the corner. If she was careful enough, then she would have approximate 90% chance of avoiding encounter and trouble. Up ahead would be the school courtyard. Crossing it directly would save her 5 minutes and 30 more seconds.
However...
Lycoris stopped dead in her tracks to find another person squat near the center of the courtyard, 40 meters north away from the main school building, 55 meters east away from the dorms. The flashlight that person held in one hand lit up to reveal that it was a blonde male student, crouching over to do something.
Although she knew she shouldn't have forsaken her calculations and ignore this person to return to the dorms, curiosity got the better of Lycoris. She stepped a bit closer to the other student, intent on finding out what he was doing.
"...What are you doing?"◀

Haseo found the small girl to be odd. He couldn’t particularly pick out what it was, but something about this girl caught his eye. He quirked an eyebrow at that remark, striking him as weird as he knelt down to the girls height. Was this an admin? Disguising yourself as a little girl in a game would be a good way to get information on hackers and other things. The way she spoke didn’t seem that way though, more like an AI if anything. He briefly wondered that possibility.
"Okay kid, just who the hell are you?" The Rogue spoke curtly, tilting his head to get another look at her. Red clad. The color itself held an aesthetic appeal, mesmerizing really but that wasn’t his current concern. He needed to know why a little kid could so easily point out his hacked character data, coupled with the Morganna factor. "I’ll ask again, who are you?"
▶ Lycoris observed the male player character intently, collecting kilobyte by kilobyte of data on him. His player name was listed as Haseo.
The Artificial Intelligence did a query on his name, simultaneously downloading more data on him as she processed the internet search results.

The same result processed over and over from the search results and nothing more was received. The data was too insufficient on this character.
Haseo was a strange entity to her.
As she continued her attempt to gather more information, a command was received from Haseo in his rather jargon language. He demanded to know her own information. Lycoris quickly processed his request in milliseconds.
"…I am… Lycoris…” the Vagrant A.I answered him softly. ◀

AU RP: Lycoris is an emotionally abused and neglected genius girl who's trying to learn emotions and find a purpose to her life.
Canon: Some mysterious force has revived and reformatted Lycoris. She does not remember the events that happened to her in AI Buster and Legend of Twilight. However, that missing knowledge may still be stored within her data. Currently wandering The World to seek out the purpose of her existence. ◀
